It’s Friday, again, how quickly do the weeks fly by! But it also means that its time for another Fragrance Friday, and today its about one of my absolute favourite fragrance brands, Marc Jacobs, more specifically about the Honey Eau de Parfum
This fragrance was launched a few years ago, in 2013 to be exact, but I still love it, as it is such a beautiful scent. And how cut and stunning does the round bottle look with the white dots, and what I assume are little ‘honey bees’ on the bottle and lid with the clear and black wings and pearl body.
But the scent is also absolutely gorgeous. The Honey fragrance contains the following notes;
- Top Notes: Pear, Mandarin, Punch
- Middle Notes: Honeysuckle, Orange Blossom, Peach Nectar
- Base Notes: Warm Honey, Golden Vanilla, Smooth Woods
Given fragrance has the name ‘Honey’ I initially thought that it would smell a little like honey, sweet and warm, so I was a little surprised to find that it didn’t, but rather that it is a light summery white floral and juicy fruity scent with a hint of citrus from the pear, peach and mandarin notes.
I think that the peach, pear and honey could make the scent a bit too sweet, but thanks to the mandarin adding a touch off zestiness and the vanilla making it slightly powdery, it is a gorgeous light scent.
In spite of it being an eau de parfum, it unfortunately doesn’t last quite as long as other Marc Jacobs fragrances in my collection, and you may feel you need a top-up spray in the middle of the day. However, I actually really enjoy this scent, and find that it is a great scent for the warmer months too, and have found myself reaching for it to cling on the the last bit of summer we have left this year. As it is so light, I also feel that’s what makes it such a great everyday scent when you don’t want to wear something too strong.
So overall another amazing fragrance from Marc Jacobs, no wonder I love his scents so much, as they not so divine, but the bottles are also so unique and incredible beautiful.
