Body Scrubs including particularly coffee scrubs are right on trend right now, and one Australian brand that is making a lot of noise is Body Blendz, and with good reason, as their products are absolutely amazing - and no, it is not just me saying that, some 500K instagram followers (be sure to check then out and give then a follow here) are a sure proof of the popularity of the brand.
Until now, the products have only been available online, but the great news is that Body Blendz are now available from Chemist Warehouse.
I love that these products are Australian owned and made, and that they made with nothing but natural ingredients, no, and contain no fake or nasty ingredients. And of course that they are toxin and also cruelty free. There are several different body scrubs available in the range, and I’ve put a few of their products to the test, which all use coffee as one of their main ingredients, to help reduce cellulite, stretch marks, and skin blemishes while fighting signs of ageing.
First up, there’s the Body Blendz Coffee Buff - The Scrub that Started It All, as it is the original coffee scrub from Body Blendz. And as a huge coffee fan, this is also one of my favourite. This scrub is made with good dose of Ground Arabica Coffee Beans to help buff away unwanted dead skin, while leaving your bathroom smelling like a cafe, and thus giving your senses the perfect wake up call in the mornings too. The scrub also contains salt to help unclog pores and balance oil products, along with olive oil to help moisturise and add antioxidants to the skin. It also contains the oils from macadamia, almond and jojoba to help add deep moisturisation to the skin, repairing and protecting it, and make it look and feel younger. Finally, it also has added orange oil to help fight off bacteria, free radicals and inflammation, as well as increasing blood circulation and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles - and not to mention give the scrub that gorgeous fresh fruity scent too, which is also the reason this scrub is one of my favourites.
Next is the Body Blendz Coco Luxe - A Delicious Coconut Escape is a body scrub made with a blend of Ground Arabica Coffee Beans and Coconut Oil, along with added salt, almond, jojoba and macadamia oils as well as Vitamin E. This scrub will make your bathroom feel like a tropical island, thanks to the coconut scent - I am not the biggest lover of coconut scents, so this is also my least favourite of the scrubs I’ve put to the test, but if you love the scent, you’ll instantly fall for this one.
The scrub helps buff away dry skin, and remove impurities, also helping to reduce the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks and skin blemishes, leaving the skin deeply moisturised, feeling soft and smooth. The salt also helps to unclog pores and balance oil products, while the oils help slow the ageing process and repair and hydrate the skin.
Then there’s the Body Blendz Vanilla Blush - An Everyday, Pure Indulgence - which is a body scrub using the combination of Arabica Coffee Beans, oatmeal to absorb dirt and oil from the skin, and sweet Vanilla, which gives this scrub a delicious sweet scent. The vanilla also help prevent inflammation of the skin and smooth out lines and wrinkles.
In addition, the scrub, like the others, also contain salt to help unclog pores and balance oil products, along with olive oil to help moisturise and add antioxidants to the skin. It also contains the oils from macadamia, almond and jojoba to help add deep moisturisation to the skin, repairing and protecting it, and make it look and feel younger.
Finally, there’s the Body Blendz Sugar Glow - A Sweet Caramel Affair - which like the other scrubs have a base of Ground Arabica Coffee Beans along with olive oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E to deeply moisturise the skin, help repair it while slowing down and reducing the signs of ageing. But it also contains orange oil to increase blood circulation, defend against free radicals damage and reduce the appearance of the lines and wrinkles. It also has added natural caramel, to give it a sweet delicious scent. And finally - and that’s where this scrub differs, and also the reason why this scrub is one is my favourite from this line up - it also contains sugar crystals. These sugar crystals mean that the scrub does appear somewhat more coarse than the others, but it is still very gentle not the skin. And what I really like, is that sugar is natural source of Glycolic Acid (AHA), so while the coffee gives the skin a physical exfoliation, the sugar helps give the skin a chemical exfoliation, for even better softer and smoother skin.
These body scrubs really are lovely, they are gentle on the skin and again, I really love that they are not only Aussie, but also made with natural ingredients. They leave the skin feeling super soft and smooth and simply glowing and radiant. And depending on which variety you use, leave a nice scent lingering both in your bathroom but also on your skin afterwards - and while each have slightly different benefits to the skin, your preferred variety may depend on the scents you prefer. Great quality at an affordable price too.
And right now, if you purchase one of the scrubs at Chemist Warehouse, you can get a cute Body Blendz pink bow head band, valued at $14.99, as a bonus with any purchase from the Body Blendz range. The head band really is super adorable and is made with super soft thick material, and it is perfect for using while you wash your face or is wearing a face mask, to keep your hair away from your face.
