The peach makeup craze, I think started with the Two Faced Sweet Peach Palette - and yes, you got to admit that it is a stunning palette, especially after a long period of seeing mainly nude and neutral palettes, as the touch of pink and peach shades, is so pleasing for the eye, and just so pretty. But sometimes you just cannot justify spending some $70 (in Australia), on makeup, just to be on trend, so lucky local brand BYS has jumped on board too with not just one, but a whole collection of beautiful peach products.
Below I am going to run you through a selection of the products from the BYS Peach collection;
The BYS Peach Face Palette is a rather large palette that features 16 textured glitters, matte and shimmer eye shadows in a range from pale nude shades, though to mauve and browns, a few peach and pink shades, along with four intense glitter shades in pale pink, fuchsia, gold and dark brown. The palette also include three lip glosses with intense shimmer in the shades medium pink, bright fuchsia pink and bright red. And finally there is also a contour powder to sculpt and define, two highlighters to enhance and illuminate and one dusty rose blush to add warmth and radiance. This is a great all-round palette, and perfect too for a weekend away as it contains everything you’ll need.
There are also two different BYS Peach Eyeshadow Palettes, Peach and Peach 2, both of which come in embossed tins, with a large internal mirror. The palettes also come with two dual ended applicators, which each have a sponge applicator in one end, and a brush applicator in the other. These tins are gorgeous, and very similar in style to to the ever popular Urban Decay palettes.
The BYS Peach Eyeshadow palette contains 12 different shades including 3 matte shades and 9 metallic shades ranging from a very pale nude, pale pinks, brighter pink and berries, orange through to medium and dark brown shades.
The BYS Peach 2 Palette also contains 12 shades ranging including 6 matte shades in the top row and 6 metallic shades in the bottom row. The shades are a little similar to the Peach Palette (I think there may even be a few duplicates), but the Peach 2 also features a few brighter shades including a bright metallic pink, and matte medium pink along with a dusty red and a bright red shade.
Common for both palettes is the the shade are surprisingly pigmented and apply easy with a silky finish. And used with an eye shadow primer, they stay put throughout the day without ceasing or dropping.
The BYS Peach Highlight Trio is a little compact that includes a pale pink highlighter, a peachy pink blush and a pale brown bronzer, each applying with a nice sheen, so you can sculpt and highlight the face.
Then there’s the BYS Soft Lipsticks which are quite pigmented giving you a medium coverage, with one swipe, but full coverage with an additional coat. It lasts quite well on the lips, yet feels soft and smooth and very comfortable on the lips. There are three shades in the range, including Just Peach (a medium orangey-peach shade), Soft Pink (a pale dusty pink shade) and Peach Tea (a slightly brighter pinky peach shade)
Then there’s the BYS Lip Exfoliator which is absolutely brilliant. Shaped and looking like one of the lipsticks, it is made with super fine granules to help gently buff away dead surface skin cells, leaving the lips feel soft and smooth and ready for lipstick.
I have only recently discovered lip oils, so excited about the BYS Lip Oil. The tube comes with a roller ball applicator with three roller balls, that is designed to not only gently massage the skin on the lips, while applying the lip oil. The oil contents helps leave the lies smooth and nourished and with a nice glossy shine. Great on its own, or on top of any lipstick for added shine.
Then there are the BYS Velvet Lips, which is a liquid lipstick that is creamy and very pigmented, leaving the lips with a fully saturated matte finish. I have a love-hate relationship with liquid lips as they can be quite drying on the lips. But these ones actually, surprisingly, feel quite lovely and non-drying on the lips, while staying put on the lips for hours, surviving both eating and drinking. Available in three shades including I’m Peachless (the darker of the three with a dusty rose-mauve shade), Peaches N Cream (a medium, slightly dusty blue tinged pink shade) and Dreaming Peach (a pale nude-beigey shade)
These products really are lovely, and considering their very budget friendly prices, they are of great quality too. The shade selection is gorgeous, and many of the products are also deliciously peach scented, which makes them even more irisistable.
