I love coming across new beauty and home brands, and today I’ve got an incredible new discovery to share with you - Mabel & Co is an Australian brand making body care products along with home fragrances, and let me tell you, the products now only look amazing, they smell incredible, and are so lovely to use.. And make sure to read on, as you’ve got a chance to WIN some of these beautiful products too..
The Mabel & Co product range has been inspired by a beautiful life shared between three generations of women, with Mabel (pronounced mey-buh-l) meaning my beautiful one. To honour the family matriarch in name, the collection are to echo the effortless elegance of the grandmother and deliver the true definition of beauty; love and light. All the products are made in Australia, and they are free from parabens, and are of course cruelty free too.
I’ve put a selection of the Mabel & Co products to the test.. First up is the Mabel & Xo Himalayan Bath Salt. If you’re tired or stressed, nothing beats a relaxing warm bath. This Himalayan Bath Salt is used by adding 1-2 cups into the warm bath and then soaking in it for a minimum of 15 minutes to help draw out toxins from the body and help alleviate sure muscles. These pretty pink bath salts don’t particularly have any scent, but they truly make the bath so gorgeous. It is gentle on the skin, and there is just something about a salty soak, it really makes such an incredible difference to the skin - from the rough feet and heels softening up, to helping clear up the breakouts you may have on your back. I’m addicted.
Then there’s the Mabel & Co Bergamot & Grapefruit Body Scrub. This body scrub is made using among others bamboo powder, seabuckthorn oil, bergamot oil, grapefruit oil, cucumber oil, geranium oil, shea butter, juniper berry oil, cypress oil, spirulina, aloe vera juice powder and lactic acid.
The body scrub has a gorgeous creamy consistency with small scrubbing particles, that gently buffs away dry and dead skin cells, leaving the skin feel silky smooth and so soft - and all without stripping my skin of essential oils, but rather it leaves it feeling so hydrated, no doubt to all the added oils and shea butter. It can be used on either dry or moist skin, and you naturally get a slightly more concentrated product, and thus effective if you use it on dry skin (though I also find that I tend to use more), and I prefer to use it that way. And after massaging it over the skin for a few minutes, you simply rinse off. It as a beautiful, fresh zesty, yet slightly spicy scent, which I really love, as it is also a very natural sent.
Finally, there’s the Mabel & Co Goji & Orange Soy Candle, which smells absolutely incredible. It has a rich and deep scent from the spiced goji and the warm orange, you don’t even have to start burning it, before the scent spreads through the house, and of course when you do, this scent is even stronger, which makes me feel it is more perfect for a cold winters night. It has been rated as strength 3 out of 5, but I actually do find it quite strong (which I totally don’t mind), and also stronger than a mid-strength.
The candle is made from natural soy, and it has been hand poured in Australia. The candle comes in a gorgeous simplistic black glass jar with a black lid and the white and orange writing, is timeless and elegant, just how I like it! The candle has a massive 60 hours burn time, and as it is so strong, you honestly wont need to burn it for long at a time, so it will last you forever.
These products from Mabel & Co really look amazing in their black packaging, and they truly are beautiful, and I have been so impressed with the quality of them, so I can’t wait to try more products from them in the future, hoping they will add other things to their product range too, such as perhaps fragrance diffusers, and hand and body creams.
