I love coming across new beauty brands, and today I’ve got the most beautiful one to share with you, Lux Aestiva.
Lux Aestiva is a an Australian artisan brand that is using nothing but the highest quality vegan and 100% natural ethically sourced raw ingredients that are free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, synthetic colours, glycols and silicones. Them botanical products are also hand made in small batches.
Lux Aestiva has the most gorgeous range of super beautiful luxurious pampering products, and I’ve put a couple to the test..
The Lux Aestiva Gypsy Oil is about the prettiest oil I’ve ever laid my eyes on, I mean, just look at that bottle with those dried flowers still infusing in the oil. It looks absolutely amazing on the bathroom shelf too. It is made using infused oils of among others;
- Prickly Pear Oil, helps stimulate cell renewal, reduce redness and hyper-pigmentation, brightening the skin, tightens the pores and restores elasticity, while also helping with premature ageing, including wrinkles and fine lines, scaring, sun damaged skin.
- Camellia Oil, rich in antioxidant, oleic acid and vitamins A, B, D and E as well as nourishing Omegas 3, 6 + 9 helps promote skin elasticity and prevents the appearance of ageing.
- Bergamot Peel Oil helps brighten the skin and unclogs pores, while balancing and cleansing oily skin.
- Meadowfoam Seed Oil to help moisturise, rejuvenate and protect the skin, smoothing wrinkles and reducing signs of ageing. It also helps balance the oil production the skin less oily
The Gypsy Oil is a multi-purpose dry oil, as it has been designed to be used from head to toe, and while it thus can be used on the face too, to improve skin health, vitamin integration, and boost overall skin tone and texture.
I admit that I prefer not to use it on my breakout prone my face, but love using it on my body after a shower, massaging the remainder into my dry nails and cuticles. A few drops into dry and frizzy hair also does wonders. The oil absorbs instantly into the skin without any greasiness or oiliness, and leaves it so soft and smooth, and with the most diving subtle rose fragrance lingering on the skin. It is quite concentrated so you only need a little, and really love that it comes with a dropper so you do not pour out too much oil and waste it. I also love that it is made using nothing but natural ingredients, no nasties in sight. Such a luxurious oil.
Or what about giving her a stunning Lux Aestiva Jade Roller. In a time where new tech gadgets are hitting the stores each week, the jade rollers, which are the original Chinese anti ageing beauty tool that has been used for thousands of years to promote youthful appearances and smooth skin, are making a huge come-back.
The jade roller is used to give the skin a facial massage that is said to help the skin with its lymphatic drainage, clearing it of fluids, boosting its circulation and blood flow and improving elasticity, and promoting cell turnover, for a skin that is brighter and more glowing and therefore healthier looking.
The Lux Aestiva Jade Roller is absolutely stunning with its heavy hand-carved jade handle and brass features. To use the jade roller you simply roll it onto freshly cleansed skin, either alone or with a serum or face oil, applying a gentle prefecture as you roll it over the face to help massage the skincare products into the skin. The jade roller has an immediate cooling sensation on the skin, simply due to the coolness of the jade stone, and it is so beautiful and relaxing and this also means that it has an immediate de-puffing effect on the skin. You can also keep your jade roller in the fridge for an even cooler sensation, and it will without a doubt be gorges to use during hot summer days, or if the skin is hot and flushed, or perhaps even sun burnt. I have seen these jade rollers around, and while I always thought that they looked so beautiful with their natural stones, I never really understand why everyone raved so much about them. Now I do. It seriously makes such a difference to the look of your skin, just using it for a few moments as you apply your skincare. I am so addicted now too.
