BYS COSMETICS LAUNCHES THE REBEL COLLECTION // PRODUCT REVIEW

So excited to be able to share some new cool makeup releases with you all today from BYS - the BYS Rebel Collection, which is all about smoked-out greys and blacks as the undertone paired with pops of red and metallic details…

There are several cool products in the collection, but the immediate stand-out, needless to say, is the pretty BYS Rebel Eye Shadow Palette. This palette features 12 eyeshadows in a combination of matte and metallic shades. The shades include a nude, mustard, green and olive, greys, orangy-red, berry, dark aubergine, navy and black, and it is simply just beautiful. The shades are a little outside of my usual comfort zone, but I do admit that it is very appealing, and even with my conservative self, I can easily see myself reaching for this palette, and using shade such as the darker greens, greys and navy shades. Considering the budget price, these eyeshadows are surprisingly pigmented, and so you are able to build them up a little. Used with an eye primer first, you can also manage to get them to stay put throughout the day. The palette has the coolest designs with a studded look tin, which comes with a large internal mirror and two dual end applicators.

For the lashes there’s the BYS Double Eye Lashes, which are reusable high-impact double eye lashes that has been hand-made in Indonesia from 100% natural hair. These lashes are so gorgeous and as they are double, they are so full and intense that they are sure to make an immediate impact, and as they are made from natural hair, they still look very natural. I also love that that they come with latex free adhesive that applies coloured for easy application and dries clear for a flawless finish.

For the ultimate bling on a night out, there’s the BYS Glitter Face & Body Kit. This little kit contains three little pots of assorted glitters, including one with tiny silver glitter, one with larger red glitter, and one with black stars. With these glitter pots you can play and experiment with different textures and dimensions, all made very easy with the included Glitter Fix Primer, which helps to set and hold glitter in place.

Or what about this cool BYS Rebel Face & Body Sticker pack that contains 50 pack of self-adhesive decals. The cute stickers include lips, roses, hearts, starts and more, and can adhere on both skin and nails, on the bare skin or never makeup. Imagine the endless looks you can create with these. I cannot see myself using them on my skin (perhaps if I was a few decades younger!!), but can see them looking gorgeous on a single nail too. 

Next up is the BYS Lid & Lip Lacquer. I admit that I first through it was just a lip palette, but after studying it more closely, I realised that it has been designed to be used on both lips and lids, for an ultra shiny look. It can be worn on its own or over any eyeshadow or lipstick. The palette contains four shades including a holographic pink, a shimmery white, a deep red and a black, and it is certainly a great tool for taking your makeup to the next level, especially for a night out.

For the lips, there’s the BYS Lip Suede Satin Lips, which are intense, highly pigmented colour. They have a creamy formulation and apply with a stunning matte satin finish. They are also quite long lasting, yet feel feather light and comfortable on the lips. There are four shades in the range, including;

• Blue Suede - yes, this is a navy blue shade, definitely out of my comfort zone, but a stunning shade, if you dare
• Crushed Velvet - a medium grey shade, again not quite for me, but a stunning shade nonetheless
• Rebel - a classic red shade - and now we’re talking, can’t go past a beautiful red shade
• Dark Rose - a deep dark slightly brownish berry red shade, that is equally stunning. 

The BYS Lip Plumper which is an ultra-shiny that helps give the appearance of fuller-looking lips. These lipglosses have a slight tingling sensation on the lips when first applied, which help create the instant more plumped lip, but they have also been formulated with Maxi-Lip, which is a collection of peptides that help stimulate collagen production, for long-term fuller, smoother lips. BYS Lip Plumper does not leave lips feeling sticky, and can be worn alone or over lipstick. These lipglosses are incredibly lightweight, and you only apply a little, they give the lips a gorgeous stain, which is also gorgeous. There are four shades in the range, including;

• Robust Red, a beautiful bright red red
• Neutral Curves, a clear that is perfect for adding on top of other lipstick shade

For the Nails, there's the BYS Rebel Nail Polishes, which includes four shades, which are long wearing, chip-resistant, quick drying and are 3-free, which means that they do not contain Formaldehyde, DBP and Toluene - and I really love that - usually the 3-free nail polishes tend to be in the more expensive price ranges, so I love seeing that a budget friendly brand is now also offering this. The four shades include

• Shimmer Star - a very pale pinkish white shade with holographic shine
• Lucky Thirteen - a matte medium grey shade
• Black Satin - a matte black shade
• Rebel Red - a dark redish-fuchsia pink shade
