MOTHERS DAY GIFT IDEAS FROM AEOS, MILK AND CO, LA MAV, MODELCO, 3INA AND SAY WHAT! // PRODUCT REVIEW

Today I’m continuing with the Mother’s Day gift ideas, which includes some great skincare suggestions..

Let’s start with some gorgeous body products from Milk & Co, which is Australian brand, with all products made locally from predominantly naturally derived, paragon free ingredients.

First up is the Milk & Co Body Scrub, which is made using a combination of coconut shell, rose hop oil and turmeric to help gently exfoliate the skin and buff away dead skin cells to leave the skin feeling soft, fresh and revitalised. The added turmeric has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing properties, while the rose hip oil helps add moisture and assist in the reduction of scars and blemishes. It also has added lavender essential oil, which is also antiseptic and a healing agent, and gives this scrub its beautiful natural floral scent.

Then there’s the Milk & Co Revitalising Body Lotion, which is an invigorating moisturising body lotion that helps revitalises and awaken the skin thanks to the natural antioxidants from caffeine, black pepper and guarana, which helps to stimulate blood circulation and offer warming properties, to help to treat muscular aches and pains. The body lotion also contains aloe vera and jojoba oil to moisturise and soothe and improve skin elasticity, as well as safflower seed oil, to maintain the skin’s elasticity by retaining moisture and providing a natural barrier. The body lotion is rich and nourishing, and leaves the skin soft and intensely moisturised, and the natural subtle spicy scent is just gorgeous.

For the face, what about some treatment products from 3Ina. For long, I only thought this incredible brand only did high quality, yet super affordable makeup, but have recently discovered they also have small range of skincare products. I’ve been loving the 3Ina The Micellar Gel, which as the name suggest, is a micellar cleaner, in a gel form, which I really love, as I am so bad at wasting the liquid ones as I always tend to pour out way more than I need. This paraben free Micellar Gel can be used on a cotton pad, or you can simply put it directly onto the fingers and massage into the face, which I actually prefer, and let it quickly and easily dissolve all the makeup, including waterproof eye makeup, as well as dirt and grime on your face, before rinsing it off. It has been enriched with green tea, and has a lovely fresh floral scent.

Then there’s the 3INA Restorative Mask, which is a sheet mask that has been made with revitalising ginseng to help by combat tired and dull complexions, giving skin a much needed pep up and restoring brightness and vitality. The paraben free mask also contains a Ceramide extract to help encourage skin regeneration. The mask is intended to be used on cleansed skin, and left on for about 20 minutes before being removed, and the remainder of the serum product padded into the skin. It has a lovely relaxing feeling on the skin, and immediately after use, the skin is left looking soft and radiant, and with a nice healthy glow.

The Micellar Gel - RRP: $10.95 / 200ml
The Restorative Mask - RRP: $8.50 / 1 mask

If she’s into self-tanning, she’s sure to love these beauties from ModelCo. The Model Co Self-Tan Dry body Oil is a self-tanning body oil that dries quickly onto the skin without any greasiness, and develops into a natural tan within 4 hours, but immediately giving the skin a nice sheen. It has been made with Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Cacao, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E, to leave the skin intensely nourished. You apply two coats for a deeper and darker tan, and use every few days to help maintain and enhance the tan too. I really like the tit dries so quickly and that it is a non-greasy formula, and as I am not fond of the usual self-tanning aroma, I love that this one has next to no scent.

To apply the self-tanning oil, or any other self-tanner, I always like using a glove. application so much easier. The ModelCo Blend Buffing Mitt is a reusable application mitt that helps you achieve a better and more even application for a more flawless tan. The Buffing Mitt is water-resistant, so it ensures that the hands stay dry and clean, and thus protecting them and the nails from staining too.

And what about when that old tan starts to fade, and you are left with a half a tan. Not the greatest look. But now ModelCo has a new super cool Tan Remover Exfoliating soap that helps remove old self-tan, streaks, stains and build up, by simply exfoliating and polishing the skin and removing tan residue, impurities, leaving to soft and smooth. It is also perfect for lighting up a tan that went to dark, or simply using prior to self-tan. This soap has been enriched with goat’s milk, natural pumice and scented with coconut, so it smells gorgeous too.

ModelCo Blend Buffing Mitt - RRP: $12

A girl can never have too many cosmetic bags, and this vinyl one from Say What?, is sure to have her smiling each time she reaches for it, thanks to the fun message on the bag. The see-through bag is so handy for storing not only makeup, but also other things such as hair accessories, or other personal items. And the fact that it is see-through, just makes it even easier to use, as you can see everything inside. There are heaps of different messages available on the bags, as well as there are several colours too, ranging from yellow, purple, oink and yellow, all sure to make a statement. The bag measures s6.5cm x 16.5cm, so it holds a lot too.

Another suggestion would be some hand and nail products from AEOS, which stands for Active Energised Organic Skincare. AEOS is a British brand with biodynamic ingredients, meaning that the 100% natural and organic ingredients are nurtured and grown in a way that maximises their potential as well as they are harvested at the peak of their mineral and nutrient life. And they are of course free from chemicals, pesticides or fertilisers. These ingredients are also blended with the purest water enhanced by crystal energies, to maximise their synergistic power to nourish and hydrate the skin. I have previously talked about the AEOS products, and they are absolutely incredible.

The AEOS Enriching Spelt Hand Cream is about the most luxurious and incredible hand cream I have ever used, and as a beauty blogger I have tried a fair few products, so its some claim to fame!! This little wonder, which comes in a cute little black heavy duty glass jar, promises to help dramatically improve the condition of dry and environmentally damaged hands. The cream has been enriched with organic oils, hydrosols along with biodynamic spelt oil and will help intensely nourish dry hands, soothing them and leaving them feeling and looking softer and more moisturised than ever before, thanks to the spelt containing vitamin E and essential fatty acids that have regenerative properties, so it is also a great cream for very dry and ageing skin. The hand cream also contains liquid tinctures of crystals from carnelian, quartz, and chalcedony, to help to rejuvenate damaged or problem skin.

The cream has a surprisingly light texture, and it absorbs so easily into the cream, so you can get on with your day without leaving greasy finger prints everywhere, although I like to use it a night before bed so it can do its wonders why I sleep. And it seriously works like magic, just the tiniest amount massaged into my dry (and ageing skin on my hands!), and I wake with the most beautiful looking soft hands, which are somewhat more plump too. It has a gorgeous natural herbal scent that you can only adore. Expensive yes - but you probably wouldn’t hesitate to spend this kind of money on an anti ageing cream for the face, but make sure that you treat your hands too, as like your face, they are always exposed to the elements, and do deserve it too.

As for those annoying dry cuticles, I’ve seriously tried everything. I am never far from a hand cream and apply it religiously throughout the day, but that still doesn’t seem to do the job. But meet the AEOS Biodynamic Nail & Cuticle Oil, which has been developed to help replenish the nails and soften those dry, cracked and damaged cuticles. The 100% natural formula has been made using biodynamic Poppy, Sunflower and Spelt Oil, and the with the vitamin E and essential fatty acids in the spelt oil, it has excellent moisturising and regenerative properties. It also includes rose quartz and quartz crystal essences.

The oil in treatment will help condition your nails and cuticles, and keep them looking soft, smooth and healthy. The cuticle oil comes in a nifty little pen with a little brush, making it so easy to apply to the nails and down the sides of the nails without any mess. And I literally only had to use it a few times before I started noticing a difference, and it has made such a big difference to the overall health of my nails and not to mention the look of my manicures too. The pen of course makes it easy to pop into your handbag for applying on the go, but I like to apply it just before bed, so again it has time to really absorb into my cuticles for optimum results.

AEOS Biodynamic Nail & Cuticle Oil - RRP: $25.50 / 3ml

Finally, what about some beautiful skincare products from La Mav, which an Australian brand, with all products made locally, using ancient natural wisdom and modern science, using nothing but premium organic ingredients and free from all the chemical nasties including petrochemicals, synthetics, parabens, artificial fragrances or colours, SLS etc.

The La Mav Age Defence Omega-3 Advanced Nights Repair Creme is designed to repair, hydrate and recharge the skin and help prevent the visible signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles, helping with repair cells and correcting imperfections, while keeping the skin hydrated.

The cream contains among others Chia and Raspberry Seed Oil to support the skin’s barrier function, along with Chlorella Vulgaris and Cotton Thistle Extract to enhance skin's repairing action. The cream also contains hyaluronic acid to increase hydration, firmness and plumpness, along with macadamia oil, shea butter and avocado oil to promote suppleness.

This cream is intended for all skin types, and in spite of the cream being so rich, it is surprisingly light and absorbs into the skin fairly quickly and without making it feel greasy, but rather it leaves it feeling and looking immediately soft and glowing. Often night creams are too rich and greasy, and I’ll wake with shiny and greasy skin in the morning, but that is far from the case with this one. My skin is left feeling clearly deeply nourished, and I supposed thereby also more plump and radiant.

My combination skin is currently a little on the greasy side, so is do find a tad on the greasy side, but I know that come the cooler winter months when my skin tends to become a little drier, that my skin is going go absolutely love this cream.

For the eyes, there’s the La Mav Wrinkle-Smoothing Firming Eye Lotion, which is designed to help rejuvenate the eye area, increasing elasticity to help soothe lines and wrinkles, while lifting and toning the eye area.

The eye lotion contains among others 6 potent firming Bio-Actives (Paracress Extract, Organic Brown Seaweed, Hyaluronic Acid, Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Coffee Bean Extract and Raspberry Oil), along with Paracress Extract and Organic Brown Seaweed, to help smooth and firm the eye contour, reduce puffiness and wrinkles as well as preserve the skins natural collagen and plump the skin and correct imperfections and enhance overall appearance.

The eye lotion comes in a convenient little pump bottle, which I really like - and as the name suggests, it has the consistency of a lotion as it is very light - but in spite of this, it is still very hydrating on the skin. The eye lotion can be used morning and night and as it absorbs quickly into the skin without any greasiness, so it is also perfect to use prior to makeup.

I am yet to see any major improvements in the amount of lines and wrinkles I have around the eye area, but I do love how light this eye lotion is and that it clearly gives the sensitive eye area a dose of intense nourishment, leaving the skin feeling softer and smoother, and I dare say, also a touch plumper and thus healthier too.

La Mav Age Defence Omega-3 Advanced Nights Repair Creme - RRP: $54.95 / 50ml
La Mav Wrinkle-Smoothing Firming Eye Lotion - RRP: $39.95 / 15ml
Available from La Mav and Adore Beauty
