PRODUCT REVIEW: PONI COSMETICS UNICORN BLUSH, BRONZER AND HIGHLIGHTER
Today I am excited to share with some brand new releases from the gorgeous brand PONi Cosmetics, the new PONi Unicorn Bronzer, Highligher and Blush, which were launched in the beginning of this month..
If you're not familiar with PONi Cosmetics, let me quickly tell you that it is an incredible cruelty free Australian brand that is really a must try. I have previously talked about some of their gorgeous products, including the Contouring Kit and the White Knight Mascara, which you can see here
Now, let's get onto the new products, starting with the PONi Cosmetics Candy Blush. This pressed ombre powder blush has shades ranging from a gorgeous hot matte pink to a soft shimmery peach. The hot pink side may look a little dark and frightening but it gives the most stunning flushed soft pink cheeks, while the peachy coral shade has a beautiful shimmer that looks stunning too and is very flattering - so in reality you get not just one blush, but actually three.... A hot pink matte one, a peach coral shimmery one, of course, you can swirl it all together for a shade that is medium pink with just a touch of shimmer and a lovely glow. Absolutely gorgeous. The shades are very pigmented, and blends easily too.
Next up is the PONi Cosmetics Chocolate Bronzer, which also is a pressed ombre powder that ranges from light to dark bronze, that is semi-matte in one side and has more shimmer in the other end. It gives the skin a gorgeous natural bronzed glow, without looking too shimmery, or too orange either. The shades are great to use for contouring too, so a great multi-tasking product too. Like the blush, it is also very pigmented and applies and blends easily and beautifully, giving you a gorgeous natural look.
Finally, there's the PONi Cosmetics Champagne Highlighter, is a pressed ombre powder in a golden shade that varies from low shimmer and slightly lighter shade in one end to high shimmer and slightly darker shade in the other end. In the fear of sounding repetitive, this too is a gorgeous and very pigmented highlighter, so you only need the tiniest sweep across the face for a natural glowing and radiant look, though, again, you can build up the intensity for a night out. I also love that it is not too shimmery I feel that often makes my combination skin look greasier, but rather it has a more subtle sheen.
I really love how these powders have all been designed so that they're ombre with different intensities at either end of the product, as it simply makes the products non only multi-tasking, but also so much more versatile and better suited for a wider range of skin tones as well as tastes.
I of course also have to mention the beautiful packaging, the rose gold compacts, which all have internal mirrors, and a purple unicorn icon printed on top of the lid. Just stunning, and right on trend too.
So I think it's quite obvious to say that I absolutely love this PONi Cosmetics Unicorn collection, as the products not only look amazing, it also feels incredible to wear too. Definitely worth checking out.

PRODUCT REVIEW: MILANI COSMETICS SPOTLIGHT STROBE PALETE, MATTE LIP CREME, LIP COLOUR REMOVER AND LUXE LIP TREATMENT
One of those brand that is very hyped about at the moment is Milani Cosmetics. I was very late to the party and only just recently tried out a selection of their products (which you can read more about here), and there's no denying that the products exceed all expectations. Today I'm excited to share with you some additional products…
First up is the Milani Cosmetics Spotlight Face and Eye Strobe Palette in Sunlight, which is available in three shades, and I put the darkest shade, Golden Light, to the test. This palette is incredibly beautiful with its wavy design, which is made up from three different shades, a rose gold, a bronze and a gold. And it is truly the most versatile multitasking illuminating palette you'll come across, as it can be used as blush, highlighter on the cheek bones, cupids bow, brow bone, eye shadow and accent for the most stunning luminous glow. The shades are all very buildable, so you can apply just a touch for everyday use, or build up for a night out. I especially love the bronze shade as an eye shadow, and the rose gold on my cheeks. This colour combination is perhaps a tad dark for my current winter-pale skin, but will be absolutely perfect come summer and my skin gets slightly tanned, so for now, I wouldn't mind checking out a paler shade on my pale skin now.
The Milani Rose Powder Blush is without a doubt one of those makeup items that is featured the most amongst beauty bloggers, and with good reason as is it so incredibly stunning with its rose embossed design. But it is also such a beautiful blush to wear. I tried the shade Romantic Rose to the test, which is a matte nude dusty rose shade. And this shade is the best shade for those with pale skin, giving you a beautiful and very natural blushed cheek. Perfect for everyday makeup, or a barely there look, also because it applies with just a very subtle sheen. It is quite pigmented, so you have the choice if you want to apply just a sheer wash of colour, or have a more intense look. Just incredible, and worth all the hype.
The blush comes in a golden compact with a clear lid, so you can see and admire the beautiful embossing - and unlike the Baked Blush, this one doesn't come with a brush or mirror included, which does make the packing slightly more slimline and stylish, and again, I actually personally prefer this and leave the little brush out.

Then there's the Milani Cosmetics Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment, and here I have to admit that I am completely new to lip oils. I have heard some many rave about lip oils, but just never gotten around to trying some, so very excited about this one. This one, formulated with the natural healing power of Jojoba, Avocado and Tsubaki Oil. As an added benefit, each if the 8 shades in the range is infused with different nutrient-dense oils that treat a specific concern. I tried the shade 07 Protecting Pomegranate, and it seriously has the most divine fruity scent. My lips are not usually dry, but do get drier in winter, and just one application of this, and my lips are left so soft. I love the huge sponge applicator, and the moisturisng ultra glossy finish and just a tint of the red shade. And I really love that it doesn't just sit on top of the lips like any other gloss, but that the oils absorbs into the lips to help treat and protect them. I am loving this Lip Oil, and will have to get my hands on a few extra shades and treatment options.
Next is the Milani Cosmetics Amore Matte Lip Crème, which are liquid-to-matte lip crème, that formula dries to a soft, velvety matte finish. And as promised, they are very pigmented and saturated, so you get a bold opaque colour with just one swipe. The doe applicator makes it easy to apply, and shortly after it dries to the matte look. As with most matte lipsticks, I do find that it can make you lips look and feel dry, so my tip is to use a good lip balm prior to applying it, and once that has absorbed, apply the lip crème. This lip crème also stays put quite well, I managed to get approx. 5-6 hours wear, even surviving a few drinks without transferring, but then it does start to flake and look dry. I do find that I need to use a makeup remover or micellar water or if I'm on the go, a makeup wipe, to remove it completely, as I find that re-applying, doesn't give the greatest result, again as you start out from having dry lips! I do love the look and wear of these, and the shade I tried, Fabulous, is a stunning dark berry-red shade, so whenever I wear it when I'm out and about, I simply carry a travel pack of wipes (which I usually do anyway), and its well worth it. They are available in a massive 23 different shades, so definitely something for everyone
The Milani Cosmetics Amore Matte Metallic Lip Crème, which are essentially the same liquid to matte lipsticks, but with tiny metallic shimmer particles that give the lips a subtle sheen, while still offering the same bold, intense colour payoff. It is also long wearing, promising up to 16 hours of wear. I don't quite feel that I can get that many hours, but usually manage 5+ hours before I feel I need to reapply (as above), but personally I also find that is very reasonable. These metallic versions are available in 15 shades, and I tried the colour Mattely In Love, which is a gorgeous red shade.
Speaking of removing these long-wearing lipsticks, of colours, of course Milani Cosmetics has thought about it with the Keep It Clean Longwear Lip Color Remover. This remover is made with safflower and grapeseed oil base with conditioners, and has a thick jelly consistency. And it is truly fantastic, just a tiny bit massaged into your lips, will remove stubborn lip colours, while still being very gentle, and the hydrating formula helps nourish and keep the lips soft and smooth. I I never knew I needed this, but now that I've tried it, I wouldn’t want to be without it.
Finally, there's the Milani Cosmetics Keep It Smooth Luxe Lip Treatment restores your dry lips and prevents lips from becoming chapped. The treatment contains Shea Butter to moisturise, well as coconut, olive, sweet almond, macadamia, jojoba, and argan oils to hydrate, while also promising to smoothe, soothe, comfort and minimise fine lines. The pale pink treatment comes in a cute little jar, and I have to admit that I would have preferred if it had come in a tube or stick, as it is simply easier to apply. But that said, it feels lovely on the lips, almost immediately absorbing, leaving the lips feeling soft and nourished, and without any greasiness. A great treatment to get your lips into shape, and to use before applying the long-wearing lipsticks.
So there you have it, another amazing selection of products from Milani, and yet again, the products have not failed to impress, so make sure you go check them out too.

PRODUCT REVIEW: PUR COSMETICS LOVE YOUR SELFIE 2 FACE PALETTE
As a beauty fanatic I love trying out and discovering new brands - and only recently I came across PÜR Cosmetics, and tested out their Best Sellers Kit (which you can read all about here), and as their Cushion Foundation, Bronzer and Strobe Palette (which you can read all about here) - and I really loved their products - so needless to say that when the PÜR Cosmetics Love Your Selfie 2 Face Palette landed on my desk, I was naturally very excited.
If you're not familiar with PÜR Cosmetics, you seriously should get acquainted. The U.S mineral makeup range has the underlying goal of making products formulated with good-for-your-skin ingredients that not only help cover skin imperfections but also help correct its overall appearance.
PÜR Cosmetics Love Your Selfie 2 Face Palette is a compact that is loaded with 13 of PÜR's best-selling products including;
In short, this palette contains everything you'll need to take you from desk to dinner, and it even contains a how-to cards, with ideas for both day-time and night-time looks.
Starting with eye shadows, are in a range of offers a very wearable neutral shades, as well as a few deeper and more shimmery shades perfect for night time. There are shades for base, for the crease, shimmery shades to enhance and highlight, and deeper colours to add intensity and drama. The shades are all very smooth and silky soft. They are also all quite pigmented and easy to apply and blend. They also wear well throughout the day, without settling into lines and creases, and with minimal fall out. The only shade I am not sure about is the burgundy shade 'Sketch', but other than that, all other shades are a perfect for someone like me, preferring muted neutral shades.
I have previously talked about the bronzer, which I really love (and you can read about here!), and while I am usually not fond of shimmery bronzers, I do love this Mineral Glow Bronzing Powder as it just has a tiny touch of sheen, giving your skin such a natural tanned look, making it look glowing and radiant. It is silky soft and easy to apply with a powder brush.
The Illuminating Powder in Photogenic is a pale pearly pinkish shade that leaves a lovely natural glow on the apples of your cheeks, while not being too shimmery or glittery, and it leaves your cheeks with a beautiful natural flushed look, perfect for winter-pale skin. The Baking Powder in Overexposed is a very pale dusty rose shade that is perfect for using on the top of the cheek bones. These three powders may not be intended for it, but you can naturally use these as eye shadows too.
Next is the Fully Charged Mascara, which contains among others a magnetic polymer matrix to lift and curl lashes. The large brush makes it easy to apply, and it separates the lashes nicely without any clumping, and just one coat gives a nice definition, length and curl great for day-time, while a few more coats adds more dramatic volume and length.
For the lips, there's the Lip Gloss in Silhouette, which is a medium mauve shade is perfect for day-time looks. It is quite pigmented and it applies smoothly with a beautiful shine, and it is infused wit a lip plumping technology that makes the lips appear fuller. It feels soft and creamy and moisturising on the lips, without being sticky. And because it is so pigmented, you can build it up to almost full intensity, or apply it more lightly for a more subtle look.
For night, there's the Lip Pencil in Focal Point which is a dark mauve shade which is absolutely stunning. It is soft and cream, and so easy to apply, and it leaves a gorgeous velvety matte finish on the lips, yet without feeling dry on the lips. The dark shade means that it has a good wear of several hours, and even when it fades, it does so evenly, leaving a nice stain on the lips.
This is really a very versatile palette, and it includes all the basics you need, plus a few extras that allow you to transform your makeup look from day to night. All the products are of high quality and very pigmented and feel so lovely to use and wear.
The actual palette is slightly bulky, which is however necessary to make room for the lip pencil, lip gloss and mascara, but does mean that you may find it too big for the handbag for everyday use. Personally I am rarely one for applying makeup on the go, so for me, it will be to be used at home, or take with me when travelling, for which I find it absolutely perfect.
All the products are really lovely and of such high quality, and considering the amount of products that you get, this is extremely well priced, so I highly recommend you check out this palette. Personally I also really liked the mascara which I can imagine repurchasing, as well as I really liked the lip pencil, and would love to explore more different shades.

For the lips, there's the Lip Gloss in Silhouette, which is a medium mauve shade is perfect for day-time looks. It is quite pigmented and it applies smoothly with a beautiful shine, and it is infused wit a lip plumping technology that makes the lips appear fuller. It feels soft and creamy and moisturising on the lips, without being sticky. And because it is so pigmented, you can build it up to almost full intensity, or apply it more lightly for a more subtle look.
For night, there's the Lip Pencil in Focal Point which is a dark mauve shade which is absolutely stunning. It is soft and cream, and so easy to apply, and it leaves a gorgeous velvety matte finish on the lips, yet without feeling dry on the lips. The dark shade means that it has a good wear of several hours, and even when it fades, it does so evenly, leaving a nice stain on the lips.
This is really a very versatile palette, and it includes all the basics you need, plus a few extras that allow you to transform your makeup look from day to night. All the products are of high quality and very pigmented and feel so lovely to use and wear.
The actual palette is slightly bulky, which is however necessary to make room for the lip pencil, lip gloss and mascara, but does mean that you may find it too big for the handbag for everyday use. Personally I am rarely one for applying makeup on the go, so for me, it will be to be used at home, or take with me when travelling, for which I find it absolutely perfect.
All the products are really lovely and of such high quality, and considering the amount of products that you get, this is extremely well priced, so I highly recommend you check out this palette. Personally I also really liked the mascara which I can imagine repurchasing, as well as I really liked the lip pencil, and would love to explore more different shades.

PRODUCT REVIEW: MILANI BLUSH, BRONZER, AND SETTING SPRAY FROM THE BEAUTY DRAWERS
One of those brands there has been so much hype about amongst beauty editors and bloggers, is Milani Cosmetics, and in particular about their blushes, though lately more of their different products are also getting a lot of mentions. I am not sure why I have never actually gotten around to trying their products, until I was so lucky to get a few sent to me thanks to being a brand ambassador for the new online store The Beauty Drawers.
Lets start with the Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush. These blushes are made from being baked in the sun, on terracotta tiles in Italy, which does give them an added charm. At the Beauty Drawers, they are available in a massive 11 shades, and I put three of those to the test;
As promised these blushes are insanely pigmented so you can build them up to be very intense and vibrant, and you have to be cautious that you don't apply too much. A little seriously goes a long way, and the tiniest bit is sufficient for a sheer yet glowing and radiant look.
The blushes come in little round golden pots with a clear lid, and underneath the blush you'll find a tiny brush and also a mirror. The little brush is as such soft enough, but personally I prefer to use my own larger and softer brushes, also as I find you'll get a better and more blended result. But if you do tend to apply makeup on the go, the included brush and mirror is certainly a great touch.
The three shades I tried are all gorgeous their own right, but if I had to pick a favourite, it would probably be Corallina, followed by Dolce Pink. I do also like Red Vino, but the darker shade means that I think it will suit pale my skin tone a little better during summer when I have a slight tan.
At the low price of just $15.95, these blushes are seriously a great buy, and I already know that I’ll need to get my hands on a few more shades from the range.
Next up is the Milani Cosmetics Rose Powder Blush. This is seriously the most stunning blush you ever did see with its embossed rose, so no wonder you'll find more pictures of this one all over Instagram. This Rose blush is available in three gorgeous shades from The Beauty Drawers and I put the shade Romantic Rose to the test, which is a matte nude dusty rose shade. And this shade is the best shade for those with pale skin, giving you a beautiful and very natural blushed cheek. Perfect for everyday makeup, or a barely there look, also because it applies with just a very subtle sheen. Absolutely stunning. And as with the baked blushes, this one is also quite pigmented, so you have the choice if you want to apply just a sheer wash of colour, or have a more intense look.
The blush comes in a golden compact with a clear lid, so you can see and admire the beautiful embossing - and unlike the Baked Blush, this one doesn't come with a brush or mirror included, which does make the packing slightly more slimline and stylish, and again, I actually personally prefer this and leave the little brush out.
The blush is seriously stunning, both to look at and to use, that again, I think I'll need more of these in my life. And yet again, considering the high quality, it comes at a bargain price of just $17.95, also because it holds a massive 17g, which is a lot of a blush!
Then there's the Milani Cosmetics Baked Bronzer, which is also baked on Italian terracotta tiles. It is available in three shades, and I put the shade, Dolce to the test, which I believe is the darkest shade. However, even it is still perfect for my medium beige skin, and the bronzer swirled with shimmer, gives a lovely natural glowing finish. I am not usually a huge fan of shimmery bronzers as I feel they often end up being too shimmery and glittery, plus makes my combination skin look even greasier, but this one only has the tiniest amount of shimmer, giving the skin a lovely radiant and healthy sheen. It comes in a round compact, with the included small brush and mirror underneath the actual bronzer, and again, I much prefer, and feel I get a much better and more natural and even finish if I apply with a larger and softer powder brush, that said, it is certainly a great inclusion if you tend to apply makeup on the go.
Finally, there's the Milani Cosmetics Make it Dewy Setting Spray, which is the ultimate 3-in-1 product that will hydrate, illuminate and set. It spray can be used both under makeup for a moisture boost, as well as on top to set the makeup and make it last up to 16 hours without creasing, smudging or fading, even my combination skin. It also gives the skin a lovely radiant healthy glow. The spray applies in a super fine mist and has a lovely cooling and refreshing feeling on the skin, so you can also use it throughout the day to freshen up. It has the most beautiful fresh fruity scent, thanks to containing extracts from among others water melon. Another must try from the brand.
So there you have it. I am honestly not sure why I have not gotten around to trying anything from Milani Cosmetics before, as these products are seriously amazing. The quality is so high considering their very affordable prices. I know I'll be reaching for these products again and again, and now even more keen than ever trying even more products from the brand. I highly recommend that you try them too!

PRODUCT REVIEW: YOUNGBLOOD MINERAL COSMETICS
One of those brands that I have long had my eyes on, has been Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, so when a selection of their newest products landed on my desk, I was naturally very excited putting them to the test.
I have only recently started to get more into mineral cosmetics, and this US mineral cosmetics brand is made with natural active botanicals. The products are also talc free and does not contain any ingredients that can irritate, clog pores or prevent the skin's natural healthy glow from shining through. In addition, the products are also eco-friendly and cruelty-free, which immediately give them bonus points.
Let's start with the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics CC Perfecting Primer, which is nothing short of amazing. This is a serious multi-tasking product that is rich in peptides, and it not only helps minimise the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture and controlling shine throughout, while also blurring dark circles, uneven skin tone and redness. It has a super light formula that is so perfect for my combinations skin, and it is so easy to apply and blend, and it simply feels so lovely on the skin, making it feel so soft and smooth too leaving the skin with a beautiful satin matte finish. You can use it on its own if you're just after a light coverage, or as a priming base - and in that case following makeup apply so much easier, and stay put looking nice for so much longer. The primer is not cheap, but you only need a tiny amount, and seriously incredible, and without a doubt the best primer that I have used!!
Then there's the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad. I tried the Eternity, which contains 4 earthy shades in a combination of matte, pearl and shimmery finishes. The compact contains;
The Silken shade is perfect to use on the brow bone or inner corner for a touch of sheen, while the Quartz is great as a base shade. The Spice is great to use as a touch of glow, and the Mink on the outer corner and the lower lash line to define.
All the shades are soft and easy to apply and blend, and as they are very pigmented, it is also very easy to create an intense look. They can also be used both dry, or slightly damp for a more intense look, although personally they have enough intensity for me to only ever use them dry. They are made with rice starch and mica for a long wear, and are also free from perfumes and chemical dyes.
You can of course use them in any combination or individually on their own, but I really love every single shade in the compact, which is rare for me. And all these shades are so gorgeous, and perfect for a someone like me, preferring neutral and earthy shades. They come in a gorgeous and stylish black slimline compact with an internal mirror and a magnetic closure. It doesn't come with brushes included, but personally I don't mind, usually preferring to use my own anyway. The eye shadow compact is available in seven different shade combinations, so there's sure to be one that you like.
The Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Brow Artiste Sculpting Pencil, is an amazing double-ended brow tool. This pencil has a superfine angled tip that makes it so easy to fill in any gaps in your brows and make them appear more natural - which is essential for me, having gone through the 80s and 90s with a serious case of over-plucking!! This pencil immediately makes the brows look fuller, and I can then use the nifty spoolie brush in the other to both distribute and smudge the colour as well as comb them into shape, and thanks to the added wax, vitamin E and skin conditioners, it also helps my brows stay in place all day long. I also love that this pencil is smudge proof. It is available in three shades, and I tried the natural brunette, which is a perfect match for my medium brown brows.
Then there's the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Illuminate Palette. This palette contains 6 different pearlescent cream shades that you can use for pretty much anything you like, from strobing, highlight blush, or contouring for a more radiant look. The palette contains the following shades;

But if you're not sure, the palette comes with a little instruction booklet to make everything so easy.
These cream shades are so light, and as it is an oil-free formula, it almost has a cream to powder formula. The shades are all very pigmented, and apply and blend so easily with you fingers, but you can of course also use a brush. I've enjoyed using these shades as highlights on my brow bones and top of my cheeks, the bronze to contour, and the pink and the apricot shades as a touch of flush on my cheeks, and I've even used a few of the shades on my lips for a touch of colour with a clear gloss on top. Or why not use a few as eye shadows. And regardless they wear well, without fading throughout the day, leaving my skin look radiant and glowing.
This is seriously a fantastic highlighting palette of such high quality The shade combination is so good that every single colour is a great match for my medium beige skin tone, so I will actually use every single shade. I also love the black leather-look compact with magnetic closure that is not only functional, but also looks so luxurious and stylish.
Finally, there's the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Lipstick. These lipsticks made using candellila wax and sun flower oil for moisture and shine and they are also enriched with Vitamin E, and green tea extract to protect the lips and offer a conditioning yet non-sticky formula, and feels so gorgeous on the lips. They have a nice sheen and supposedly offer sheer colour, but personally I actually feel that they offer a quite good coverage, that you can build up to quite intense, although you can of course just blot it on if you're after just a touch of colour. Often moisturising lipsticks haven't got the longest of wear, but they do actually stay on for 3+ hours, which I find reasonable, and even when thy do fade, they leave a gorgeous stain behind. There are a massive 34 shades in the range, so definitely something for every taste and occasion. I tried the shade Envy, which is a gorgeous berry plum shade, perfect for both day and evening wear.
So there you go, a selection of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetic, all of which is so incredible - these products are so luxurious and beautiful to use and wear, that it's impossible to not to love it all - I know I do, and that I'll be reaching for these product again and again over the coming months - and the product range is so huge, so I certainly wouldn’t mind adding a few more products to my collection, including some of their beautiful looking bronzers and blushes, foundations and concealers as well as a few more lip products wouldn’t go astray!! Definitely highly recommended.

PRODUCT REVIEW: LILY LOLO BB CREAM, BLUSH AND NATURAL LIPSTICK FROM THE BEAUTY DRAWERS
As a beauty blogger, I love trying out new beauty products, and one of the things that especially excites me, is trying out new brands. And when I was selected to be an official brand ambassador for the newly opened Australian online beauty store, The Beauty Drawers I was naturally very excited.
One of those brands stocked by The Beauty Drawers is Lily Lolo, a UK brand making mineral makeup, using only materials that are proven to nourish and protect the skin, and thus are free from harmful chemicals such as parabens and phthalates, synthetic perfumes, dyes and anything else that isn't kind to you or your skin. In addition, the products are also certified cruelty free!
I put a selection of products to the test, but let's start with the Lily Lolo BB Cream. This BB Cream contains anti-ageing ingredients to help tone and firm the skin, as well as organic aloe and jojoba oil to moisturise the skin and offer natural anti-oxidants and anti-bacterial protection. The BB Cream is silicone free, and the mineral pigments give the skin a light coverage to help even out the skin tone and blur imperfections for a healthy radiant skin.
The BB Cream, is light and easy to apply and blend, and as promised, it does give my skin a natural look and a dewy radiant finish. It does even out my skin tone nicely, making it look more even, but personally I would have liked it to have a slightly better coverage, but mainly because of my increased pigmentation, blemishes and marks from past acne. But then I have to remind myself that this is a BB Cream only promising light coverage, and not a full-coverage foundation. Usually BB Creams do not last well on my combination skin, but I am actually surprised that with the use of a setting powder as well a setting spray on top, it still manages to stay put most of the day, continuing to look fresh, without settling into my fine lines. The BB Cream only comes in three shades, Fair, Light and Medium - and the Light shade is good match for my medium-beige skin tone, so I can imagine that the limited range of colours may make it difficult for everyone to find a good colour match.
Overall, I really enjoy this BB Cream as does feel lovely to wear and it does give my skin a natural healthy glow.
Then there's the Lily Lolo Pressed Blush in Burst Your Bubble, which comes in cute little round compact with an internal mirror. Burst Your Bubble is described as a 'Matte Bubblegum Pink" but I have to add that I do not find it completely matte, but rather it adds a tiny touch of sheen, which personally I actually don’t mind as it does give the skin a radiant look. The shade is warm dusty rose, which is a perfect shade for everyday wear. The blush as a silky soft and easy to apply and blend with a large blush brush, and as promised, it is quite pigmented, so you an apply it lightly for a sheer natural flushed look, or build it up for a more intense brighter pop of colour if you like. It also has a good wear lasting throughout the day, without the need for a touch up. The blush contains among others jojoba oil, sea holly extract and argan oil for its moisturising and anti-ageing properties.
Finally, there's the Lily Lolo Natural Lipsticks, which are made using among others jojoba oil, rosemary leaf extract and vitamin E to protect your lips and keep them soft and nourished. The lipsticks are soft and creamy, and do feel very comfortable and moisturising on the lips. And even when they've worn off, they leave my lips feeling soft. I tried the shade Desire, which is described as a "Cool Deep Red", or as I'd put it a dark berry/red-wine shade with a touch of sheen, and it is absolutely stunning. The lipstick is fairly pigmented, but it does take a few swipes for a solid colour-payoff, but on the other hand, I do like that you can also just apply it lightly for just a hint of colour. Like most moisturising lipsticks, the wear is not the longest, but that said, I do get 3-4 hours wear, which I do find quite reasonable, It is a gorgeous lipstick, and I love that it doesn’t contain any nasties, including no added fragrance. There are heaps of shades in the range, so definitely worth checking out if you're after a gorgeous lipstick that also keeps your lips soft and moisturised.
And of course I have to mention the gorgeous black and white packaging, which probably know is my favourite combination, as it is simply stunning. The products all come in small cardbox boxes which are white with black ends, and inside printed with the Lily Lolo, "LL' logo. The BB Cream comes in a white tube has a black lid and a nifty pump that makes it easy to dispense just the amount needed. The blush comes in a small round compact that is white underneath, and black on top, just like the lipstick that is black in one end and white in the other. Simple, yet classic and so beautiful.

Yes, there are already a lot of other online beauty stores on the market, but what makes The Beauty Drawers different, is the brands they stock, which include so many I've never tried before.
One of those brands stocked by The Beauty Drawers is Lily Lolo, a UK brand making mineral makeup, using only materials that are proven to nourish and protect the skin, and thus are free from harmful chemicals such as parabens and phthalates, synthetic perfumes, dyes and anything else that isn't kind to you or your skin. In addition, the products are also certified cruelty free!
I put a selection of products to the test, but let's start with the Lily Lolo BB Cream. This BB Cream contains anti-ageing ingredients to help tone and firm the skin, as well as organic aloe and jojoba oil to moisturise the skin and offer natural anti-oxidants and anti-bacterial protection. The BB Cream is silicone free, and the mineral pigments give the skin a light coverage to help even out the skin tone and blur imperfections for a healthy radiant skin.

PRODUCT REVIEW: MODERE COLOUR
A little while ago I was invited to an event for the launch of Modere Colour - But unfortunately I couldn’t' make it as it was being held in Sydney. In stead the brand kindly sent me a selection of their products.
Perhaps you've never heard of Modere before - frankly, I hadn’t either although the brand has been around for a few decades selling products within skincare and household products.
In line with the brands philosophy, the aim with the newly launched Modere Colour makeup line is to sell "honest, bold, safer and botanically inspired makeup designed to go hand in hand with the existing skincare range – all created to enhance your natural beauty from the inside out. Colour that’s clean and safe, with BPA free packaging, natural mineral pigments and certified organic botanicals and without potentially harmful ingredients, animal products or animal testing." I also love the fact that the products are Australian made and owned. But let’s get on to talking about the products.
The Modere Colour Primer contains among others organic aloe to soothe redness and hydrate tired or dehydrated skin. It also contains natural mica Natural mica, a light reflecting mineral to give the skin a luminescent look, which hazel to help tighten the pores and leave the skin fresh (and so perfect for my combination skin with large pores!), as well as Grapefruit seed extract acts as a natural antioxidant.
The primer has a slightly odd scent, but it is incredibly light, almost watery, and absorbs into the skin immediately, and it leaves the skin feeling silky soft and smooth. Following I find that foundation is so much easier to apply, as it seems to glide onto my skin, as well as make my skin look more flawless that without and not to mention, makes my makeup stay put for longer. It comes in stylish square pump bottle that makes it easy to use.
The Modere Colour Mineral Liquid Foundation contains certified organic ingredients such as jojoba seed oil to add hydration, avocado oil to conditions the skin and provide a luxe application and rose flower extract softens the skin. The foundation has the same slightly odd scent, and it has a creamy consistency and a medium coverage that dries to a soft matte finish. It is easy to apply with either your fingers, a blending sponge or a foundation brush, but I find that you do have to blend fast before it dries. I love the matte finish on my combination skin and that it has a good wear, used with the primer, staying put all day without looking greasy or settling into fine lines. It also comes in the same style stylish square pump bottle that makes it easy to use. And by the way, I love that the bottles are clear, so I can easily see how much product is left in the bottles.

The Mineral Pressed Powder has a matte finish and can be used either as a finishing powder on top of a foundation for a matte finish and to extend wear, or as a foundation on its own. It is best applied with a kabuki brush, and you can apply just a light coverage or build it up to a medium coverage, covering redness, blemishes and some pigmentation, yet it still looks natural. I have enjoyed using it both on top of the Mineral Liquid Foundation, or on its own on more casual days where I've wanted a less made up look. It comes in a stylish black round compact with a large internal mirror.
The Modere Colour Bronzer is made using Ethyl macadamiate from natural macadamia oil to create a light, non-greasy texture and feel on the skin, Lauroyl lysine from coconut fatty acids to create texture and a silky finish, as well as the natural mineral mica to add glow and reduce the appearance of pores and wrinkles. The Bronzer has texture that is easy to apply, and thanks to the tiny shimmer particles that give the skin a lovely radiant and healthy glow, looking very natural and not orange or fake like other bronzers. It also comes in a black round compact with a large internal mirror.

The blushes come in little round black compacts, with a 'window' in the lid so you can easily see the shade.

The eye shadows are so soft and very pigmented too, so it is easy to build them up to an intense look, which you can intensify further by applying them with a damp brush. There are 12 gorgeous shades in the range, and I tried the shades Bella, a peachy nude shade, Cognac, a dark chocolate shade, and Frenchy, a medium blue shade. Sadly I am very conservative, and tend to wear nothing but nudes and browns on my eyes, so however lovely the shade is, the blue is not quite for me, but the Bella and Cognac shades are so stunning, both together and individually. I also love how they stay put all day without settling or fading. The eye shadows also come in little round black compacts, with a 'window' in the lid so you can easily see the shade.
The Modere Colour Mascara is a mineral mascara made with arnauba wax to thicken and lengthen the lashes, along with certified organic jojoba seed oil to nourish and keep lashes soft, as well as castor seed oil for a clump-free formula and perfect lash separation. The mascara has a medium sized brush and the small tip makes it easy to reach even the small lashes in the corners. One coat gives the lashes length and volume, while a few more coats, while with a few more coats you can build this up more. I like how it easily separates the lashes and doesn’t clump them together, also regardless of how many coats you add. The mascara comes in a thin long black packaging.
The Modere Colour Lipsticks are vegan and made using shea butter to keep the lips moist and protected from the harsh elements, carnauba wax to give them a creamy texture, and candelilla wax brings a smooth, creamy finish. The lipsticks are very soft and creamy and they apply easily and smoothly, and feels very comfortable on the lips thanks to the moisturising formula. They have next to no scent, and are quite pigmented, so just one swipe gives you a decent colour pay-off, and with a lovely sheen. For a moisturising lip, they have a decent wear of a 3-4 hours, though a little more for the darker shades. There are 12 colours in the range, and I tried the shades, Barely, a pale barely there nude shade, Molly, a brighter cerise pink shade and Relish, a classic bold red shade, which is also my favourite of the three. The lipsticks come in a black metal tube, and I really like that the bottom part is clear, so that you can easily see the shade of the lipstick without opening it.
The Modere Colour Lip Glosses are made from cetyl alcohol to help soften and condition the skin, hydrogenated polyisobutene to moisturise and prevent water loss from the lips, and certified organic orange peel oil for a fresh, sweet, natural fragrance, so unlike the other products, these lipglosses actually smell really lovely. The lip glosses come in a long clear tube with a pointy foot doe applicator and are easy to apply, and thanks to their moisturising properties, they also feel very lovely on the lips. There are 4 shades in the range, and are either sheer or bold and hence vary a lot. I tried two, Marmalade, which in the tube looks peachy-orange, but on the lips it goes on clear with a golden shimmer, so it is good to use either on its own, or on top of a lipstick for more dimension and high sheen. I also tried the shade Watermelon, my favourite of the two. It applies as a full and bolder and brighter coral-red shade and is hence best used on its own. Of the two, it also has the longest wear, also leaving behind a nice stain on the lips once it has worn off.
All the products come in gorgeous bright coloured boxes. I have enjoyed putting these to the test, and will continue to use the products going forward, and while I cannot say that there as a product I didn’t like, there naturally were a couple of standout products. I particularly enjoyed the primer as it is so light and seems so good on my combination skin, but I also really enjoy the bronzer as it both applies so natural and gives such a lovely glow, without looking orange. The blush in the Poppy shade is such a lovely shade, and I also have to mention the eye shadows as they are so pigmented and has such a good wear. For the lips, I did enjoy both the bolder lipsticks and Glosses, and would love to see the Gloss range extended with more solid bold shades.
So all in all a selection of beautiful makeup products from Modere Colour, in beautiful shades and of high quality and free from all the chemical nasties, so I definitely recommend that you check them out!
