What I Say:
My first impression of the Innoxa Skin Perfecting Foundation 5 in 1 BB Cream was that it comes in a
rather small tube, but on closer look, I realised that it contains 30ml, which
is about the average size for a foundation.
The BB Cream comes
in a slim tube, which has a silver screw lid. The actual tube has a pointy and
very narrow opening, making it very easy to get just the amount of cream you
need.
The cream is a little thick, yet it is easy to spread across
the skin, without making it look too cakey. It gives a nice even finish, and a
medium coverage with a dewy finish, covering all minor pigmentation, red
blotches, scarring – and dark areas under the eyes, and making the skin tone
look even and fresh. I really like that it has a medium coverage – most other
BB creams that I’ve tried only give a light coverage, which is still not quite
sufficient for my liking.
Used on its own, it lasts about 5 hours on my combination
skin before it starts to shine, and is in need of a touch up. But still it
looks nice and doesn’t change colour or settles into fine lines. And with the
use of a primer underneath, and a powder on top to set it, it does last another
couple of hours.
I tried the colour Caramel, which matched my skin perfectly.
But the Caramel colour appears to be the darkest colour available – yet I have
a medium beige coloured skin – which also means that those with darker skin tones
may struggle finding their perfect colour match.
The BB cream is supposedly a 5-in one, formulated to
help balance & correct skin tone, brighten skin, calm & soothe skin,
reduce redness, and reduce pigmentation, but after having used it for a
few weeks I have to say that I have not noticed any reduction in the amount of
pigmentation I have, or that my skin tone has improved.
But in saying that, it very comfortable to wear, and has in
no way irritated my skin, or even worse made it break out, unlike other BB
creams that I have tried.
I also like the fact that it is fragrance & paraben free
and has been dermatologically
tested. But in spite of being fragrance free it does have a scent, which is a
little difficult to describe, it is almost a scent of almond and spices, and
although this scent is a little strange, it is still subtle and fades quickly
after the cream has absorbed into the skin.
Unfortunately it doesn’t contain any SPF, which I have mixed
feeling about. While on one hand I would love for it to contain a minimum of a
SPF 15, on the other hand, I also have the feeling that it is the SPF in some
foundations that at times make my skin break out, so I am also happy just to be
using my usual moisturiser with SPF 30 underneath.
All in all this BB cream is a great product, and it ticks so
many boxes for me, from its coverage, wear and not least that it is free from
parabens and fragrances. And at just $24.95, it is a bargain buy too!

Have you tried any of the products from Innoxa? Do you
prefer BB Cream over a foundation? Which one is your favourite?
I think I would want something with SPF in it xx

Again, I have split opinion about the SPF, on one hand I want it, on the other hand it is one less thing that can make my skin breakout.
DeleteThat's amazing that your skin has been so clear with pregnancy! I like my bb creams to contain spf too.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say that Im happy with my skin, so hope it stays like this!
