Product Review: Arbonne Bronzer

My skin is already quite sun damaged and pigmented, something which has definitely escalated a fair bit since I moved from Denmark to live under Australia harsh sun over a decade ago. Consequently, I do my best to avoid the harmful rays, and like most others I rely on a good bronzer to give sun-kissed glow. Here are my thoughts on the *Arbonne Bronzer.

What I Say:

I only recently discovered the Arbonne when I was trialling the Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation, which was absolutely fantastic, so I’d so sad that I did not come across this brand earlier.

Arbonne was founded in Switzerland, and all products are vegan-friendly and no products are tested on animals and do not contain animal-derived ingredients or animal by-products.

All Arbonne makeup items are also formulated without parabens, formaldehyde donating preservatives, petroleum based ingredients including benzene, mineral oil, petrolatum, phthalates, toluene and PABA. I love the sound of that!!

The Arbonne cosmetics line has furthermore been tested with a third-party research group for clinical performance and user preference evaluation with consumers. Results were determined with instrumentation to measure breathability, long-lasting wear, and moisturisation levels of the skin.

The Arbonne bronzer contains age defying ingredients, as well as a number of soothing and conditioning ingredients, like lavender and liquorice extracts, as well as vitamins A, C and E. And like the rest of the Arbonne's cosmetic line, it also contains Optilight Technology, a formula that diffuses light to create a soft look and allows the skin to breathe because of its light-weight feel. This results in blurring imperfections on the skin, making it look flawless, while promoting a healthy glow.

And it really is one of the lightest bronzer I've ever used. It brushes on easily and blends in effortlessly, making my skin look smooth, glowingly healthy and almost flawless. It is great to use both on top of a foundation, on its own, or as contouring – or it could even be used as a blusher if you like, and either way, it is very long lasting.

The bronzer can give you just a wash of colour, or you can build it up or a more intense tanned look and fuller coverage. It is very finely milled and highly pigmented, and a little goes a long way, so it will also last you a long time.

I have to admit that at first I was surprised that Arbonne's bronzer only came in one colour, which looks rather dark, so I was worried that it wouldn’t match my medium skin tone very well. The bronzer simply looked a bit darker than what I would normally buy, but I find that it matches my skin well, and actually looks quite natural. Unlike other bronzers it doesn't make you look orange and is not sparkly or too shimmery – something that I try to avoid as it simply makes my combination skin look even more greasy and shiny!

 

 

Having combination skin, I usually have the problem, especially during the hot summer months, that the makeup starts sliding off my face at lunch time, and not to mention changes colour. But the Arbonne Bronzer stays in place all day without sliding off in the heat or settling into fine lines.

At the same time as giving my skin a nice glow, the added skin firming properties it helps care for your skin each time you use it! I love that!!

The bronzer has next to no scent, and comes in a sleek black compact, which has a handy mirror in the lid, making it easier to touch up on the go. It also comes with a cute black velvet pouch, making it a little safer to carry in handbag!

 

On the negative, this is an expensive product, but it is also the best bronzer I have ever used, It's high end, and worth it’s price with its high quality pigments.

All in all, this really is a fantastic bronzer, and yet again I am so impressed with the quality of the product, that I  really wish I had discovered this brand earlier!
