TOY REVIEW: BRIO LIGHT AND SOUND FIRETRUCK 30383 - MY HOME TOWN

It is once again time to call upon my boys, and this time the 2 year boy to assist with a toy feature, which today is about the Brio Light & Fire Truck from Childsmart.

Our little boy is such typical boy, and loves anything to do with cars, trucks, and yes, also firetrucks, so this I knew this would be a massive hit with him.

The firetruck is aimed at a slightly younger child than the Brio we've featured previously, with its target of 18months plus, as the truck as well as the included people are a lot larger, made of just one solid piece of timber with no movable arms or legs, but they are very cute none the less. And this larger size does make it a lot easier for small hands to put the fireman into the truck or hold the fire hose. And our 2 year old boy loves this truck, and so does our 4 year old.

The firetruck has wailing sirens and flashing lights, which is so popular, and the perfect sound effect when the boys are role playing and on their way to save the day. The firetruck comes with two firemen, or should I say a man and a woman, along with removable ladders, and a fire hose that can be reeled in and out, so the firemen can fight the fire.

It is at the pricier end for a firetruck, but like other Brio toys, this Fire Station has a stylish and modern design made from a combination of timber and plastic and it is sturdy and clearly a quality product, and I simply know it is made to last, and won't break if its dropped on the floor. And it is such a great toy that gives your child hours upon hours of role play.

This Firetruck is a part of Brio's My Home Town range, which include lots of other parts, including farm, tractor, police car, train, helicopter etc., which is definitely worth looking into if you have a little toddler. Going by how much our little boy loves his Brio Firetruck, we highly recommend it.
