SALON REVIEW: BEAUTE2001 - GUINOT CELLULAR ENERGY FACIAL TREATMENT

A few weeks ago, I was so lucky to be treated to a Guinot Hydradermie Cellular Energy facial Treatment at Beaute2001, which is located within Doncaster Shopping Town In Melbourne...

Guinot Paris is a French, and founded over by chemist René Guinot, who had a focused approach to skincare with the philosophy that every person's skin is different and is exposed to different environmental and stressful conditions at different times, and hence should be treated differently. And thus the now Hydradermie treatment system began, and s now available trough thousands of salons and spas throughout the world.

These Hydradermie treatments use cutting edge technology to create a deeper cleansing method and improved faster penetration of active ingredients with twice the results.

I was treated by the lovely April, the owner of Beaute2001, and immediately felt comfortable and relaxed in her experienced hands, and no wonder given her over 30 years of experience. During the treatment, April explained the science of Guinot skincare's unique system that works off positive and negative currents, as well as she also talked me through the treatment, and explained things as they were happening.

The Hydradermie Cellular Energy facial was split up to 3 main phases, which started with my skin being thoroughly analysed using the advanced Visa Skin Analysis Computer, to look into the deeper layers of my skin for things like UV spots, red areas, brown spots, wrinkles, texture, pores - which were not pretty pictures, highlighting all the issues - though April told me that my skin really wasn't that bad!! I also got a look into what my skin may look like in the future, which I also didn't enjoy one bit. I definitely regret my sun-loving past, but can't do anything but accept it, and do my best to take care of my skin going forward, including be even more sun smart and slather on that SPF.

Once in the treatment room I was treated to a foot and leg massage, which immediately made more relaxed, and then my skin was then double cleansed using the Guinot Lait Hydra Fraicheur, which contains active ingredient of rose extracts to soften and hydrate the skin, and finished off with Guinot Lotion Hydra Faicheur. My skin was then exfoliated to help remove the build up of dead cells.

Over the years I have naturally had some facial treatments, but I think I can say that this was the first time I've experienced a massage of the eye area, and it was incredible. My eyes are always tired and strained, and it simply felt so relaxing, I could so get used to it.

The next phase of the treatment was called Dynamic Ionisation, which made use of massage rollers to release an alternating galvanic current to help the gels absorb that have been applied get into the deeper layers of the skin and increase cellular activity. With my skin both ageing, and experiencing breakouts, April used a combination of a few different gels, including PURIFING Gel, containing salicylic acid, Lipacid and AC-NET- act to help rebalance sebum secretion and microbial levels as well as having a cell-renewing action. She also used Soothing Gel with Sepicalm and Arnica to help soothe and regenerate and Phytoprotectol plant extracts to help reinforce the epidermis. For my eyes, Eye Gel with Vitamins, Amino acids and Trace Elements was applied to regenerate along with Eyeliss to help with dark circles and puffiness. Having these rollers massage my skin was such a lovely cooling and relaxing feeling.

The gels were then removed and it was then it was time for the second phase, the Thermal Electrode Phase, where the a thermal wand is applied over a special oxygenating cream, to help increase the microcirculation and bring more energy to the cells. This device had a slight buzzing sound using high frequency to massage, and also felt quite relaxing as it moved across my face.

During Phase Three is the Relaxation phase where specialised massage cream, eye and neck serums are applied to décolleté, neck , face and eyes, to help relax facial features and improve subcutaneous microcirculation.

Finally, the treatment was completed with a Brightening Mask which contained Vitamin C to help brighten skin, a Mask Essential on my décolleté, with Lavender and essential oils to help comfort the skin and restore its radiance, along with an Eye Mask with Horse Chestnut to help increase microcirculation, and help treat and smooth crows feet and drain heavy eye lids.

Once finished with the treatment, I was able to relax in the lounge area of the salon where I was offered a lovely cup of tea and a selection of healthy snacks.

Overall I have been so impressed with this Guinot treatment. I cannot rave enough about the salon Beaute2001 and April, and the actual treatment was amazing. Immediately after leaving my face felt so soft and smooth and so refreshed and simply more glowing. I did have a few breakouts prior to the treatment that had already stuck around for a while, but following they seemed to recede within just a few days. In the days following, my skin still looked better and healthier than it had for a long time, even without makeup my skin was simply looking fresher and more radiant and glowing.

This Guinot treatment was in short just heaven. I could certainly get used to having one of these treatments regularly, and would not hesitate one moment going back to Beaute2001 - and if you're in the area, I know I'd love it too!
