Nars Pop Art Collection

Nars Pop Art Collection

To own an Andy Warhol screen print is little more than a dream for most people, but thanks to a new collaboration with the late artist's estate, fans can get their hands on a much more affordable piece of the Pop Art legend.

"I've never met a person I couldn't call a beauty," Andy Warhol once said. Now, makeup legend Francois Nars has transformed Warhol's art into a beauty collection.

In the US, Nars is has just introduced introduce a new colour range in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

The extensive, 29-piece range draws upon the artist’s iconic imagery and off-register chromatic harmonies. 1967's "Self Portrait" and 1965's "Flowers" series are screened onto eye-shadow palettes whose mirrors are inscribed with Warholian aphorisms like "All is pretty" and "I’ve never met a person I couldn’t call a beauty."

The Soup can with Warhol's famous lip motif, holds a gift set of lip glosses with cheeky names like Silver Factory and Chelsea Girls.

Pop star meets pop artist in NARS’ Debbie Harry Eye and Cheek Palette. Reinterpreting the glamour and grit of Debbie Harry’s downtown scene, this audacious palette of shimmering shadows and blushes was created exclusively for Sephora. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s use of Diamond Dust, this sultry spectrum sparkles with shimmer and micronized diamond powder.

The compact’s mirror comes etched with one of Warhol’s famously playful quotes: "I always say, one’s company, two’s a crowd, and three’s a party."

Nars Warhol Self Portrait Eyeshadow Palette, $89 each.

The Nars Andy Warhol collection will be available exclusively at Mecca Cosmetica, from October 14.

I love the look of the NARS’ Debbie Harry Eye and Cheek Palette, it looks so nifty and versatile.
Have you fallen in love with anything from this limited edition collection?
