PRODUCT REVIEW: MEDIK8 WHITE BALANCE CLICK OXY-R ULTRA BRIGHTENING SERUM

Lately I've been putting quite a few newer products from Medik8 to the test, and as I've been so impressed with all, I was naturally also excited testing out the White Balance Click Oxy-R Ultra Brightening Serum.

The key ingredient in this serum is Oxyresveratrol (Oxy-R), which is specifically designed to help minimise the appearance of skin pigmentation including sun-induced melanin-based pirmentation, also reducing the appearance of uneven skin tone and improving the overall appearance of sun damaged skin.

In addition, it also contains 10 other active ingredients, in a patent-pending solution, added to help reduce the appearance of skin pigmentation and add immediate hydration to the skin.

Some of the other ingredients include;

• Gluconolactone which is a poly lactic acid (PHA), working to exfoliate the skin and break down the melanin deposits while also providing protection from UV damage
• Acetyl Glycyl Beta-Alanine, a peptide that acts as a skin lightening and brightening agent.
• N-Acetyl Glucosamine & L-Leucine, which are both skin brightening ingredients.

The actual serum comes with two 10ml bottles and utilises a unique clicks system, that combined helps make sure that the active ingredients remains as fresh and potent as possible for maximum results.

The serum is intended to be used morning and night after cleansing the skin, prior to any other serums and skincare. From first use, the serum is best used within 6 weeks to ensure the freshness of the ingredients.

As a beauty blogger, needless to say that I do get to try more skincare products than most, so I usually know more or less immediately when something is a winner - like this Balance Click Oxy-R.

After the very first use, I woke up in the morning feeling my skin was looking significantly healthier and more glowing than usual - and with continued use, I continued to see improvements in my skin tone, with patches of pigmentation clearly looking less visible, and my skin simply healthier by each day.

And all without drying out my skin or making it irritated, something highly potent serums often do - and I also really love the fact that this serum is also suitable for both pregnant and nursing mums, which is a further testament to how gentle this serum really is.
