PRODUCT REVIEW: MILK AND CO BODY SCRUB, INVIGORATE BODY LOTION AND HAND QUENCH

It has just been Australia Day, and as well as being blessed with a beautiful country, and more gorgeous sunny days than most other places, we have also been blessed with a multitude of amazing skincare brands. One of those is Milk & Co, which makes all the products locally from predominantly naturally derived, paraben free ingredients.

First up is the Milk & Co Body Scrub. This scrub is , which made using a combination of coconut shell, rose hip oil and turmeric to help gently exfoliate the skin and buff away dead skin cells and impurities to leave the skin feeling softer, fresher and more revitalised. The added turmeric has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing properties, while the rose hip oil helps add moisture and assist in the reduction of scars and blemishes. The scrub also has added lavender essential oil, fir its antiseptic and a healing properties, as well as it helps give this scrub its beautiful natural floral scent.

The Milk & Co Her Invigorate Me Body Lotion is a moisturising body lotion that helps revitalises and awaken the skin. The body lotion contains natural antioxidants from caffeine, black pepper and guarana, which helps to stimulate blood circulation and offer warming properties, to help to treat muscular aches and pains. It also contains aloe vera and jojoba oil to moisturise and soothe and improve skin elasticity, as well as safflower seed oil, to maintain the skin’s elasticity by retaining moisture and providing a natural barrier.

This rich body lotion does take a few moments to absorb fully into the skin, but once it has, it is a wait worthwhile, as it leaves the skin feeling so soft, smooth, and clearly intensely nourished. I am yet to see any improvements in my skin elasticity, or that my tired legs at night are relieved, but the mere fact that my skin is feeling so soft and smooth does it for me. It of course helps that body lotion has a lovely, subtle, lightly spicy natural scent. I also love the fact that it is made locally in Melbourne from 95% naturally derived ingredients, that it is paraben free and not tested on animals. Also worth mentioning is the gorgeous sleek square bottle with a pretty dusty pink lid, all 100% recyclable.

Then there's the Milk & Co Her Hand Quench, which is an intensely nourishing hand cream also made locally in Melbourne from 95% naturally derived ingredients including cocoa butter, sesame oil, and vitamin E, along with shea butter, to help moisture deeply into the skin, help soften the dermis, and improve skin elasticity, as well as encourage skin healing and renewal. The hand cream also has added Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil, which acts as an astringent and antiseptic agent for dermatitis and excessive oil, and bergamot fruit oil, mint and citrus to give it a gorgeous scent, you can only adore.

Surprisingly this hand cream absorbs into the skin faster than the body lotion, and without any greasiness or stickiness, which I really like, as it means I can get on with things immediately.

And as promised, it really does give the hands an intense moisture boost, immediately leaving my hands softer and smoother, and looking so much healthier. It comes in a dusty pink tube, which looks so pretty and feminine too.

If you're looking for some gorgeous and very gentle products, that look pretty in the bathroom too, with their white and pink bottles, then these beauties from Milk & Co. are definitely worth checking out.
