SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN - SMALLFOOT AT SEA LIFE MELBOURNE

I have no doubt that I am not the only mummy who is struggling keeping my kids entertained during the school holidays. And especially this one, as it is a little longer than the other holidays throughout the year. Naturally, my kids are not used to being entertained, and going to fun places every single day of the week, but when you go from being hyper active all day in kindergarten (or school), with lots of fun things to do and play with and being distracted all the time, then simply being home with mummy day after day after day, I guess, I can understand that it can become a little boring. 

Melbourne Big Ticket where you get entry to two attractions, Sea Life Melbourne and Legoland Discovery Centre at a great discounted price… But let’s first have a look at the attractions..

We visited Sea Life in Melbourne the other day, which during these school holidays calling all smallfoots to join our big chill these school holidays by experiencing life as a Yeti to celebrate the release of one of the year’s biggest family movies Smallfoot. 

Smallfoot is about a young Yeti who finds something he didn’t think existed, a human. This news throws the Yeti community into uproar over what else might be lurking beyond their snowy village, and so a story about friendship, courage and the joy of discovery begins.

At Sea Life Melbourne, kids can pretend to be a small foot and set off on an icy adventure into the snowy depths of a magical Yeti world.

The special activities include a snow pit (but hands will stay nice and warm thanks to synthetic ice), an ice cube throwing game, a crawl-through igloo, Smallfoot activity books and character masks, and four mystery line drawing stations that reveal a special picture.

Kids can also get up close and personal with Himalayan Yetis, Migo (voiced by Channing Tatum in Smallfoot) and Meechee (voiced by Zendaya) for a photo.

Of course, visiting the Sea Life, the kids can also see and learn about the sea life, and see things like turtles, sharks, manta rays, sea horses, penguins, and more different species of fish than you can ever imagine swimming around in the beautifully created coral reef. There’s also a rock pool where the kids can touch and feel different things such as sea stars and shark’s eggs.

And of course, you can also go watch the 3D movie and rest your legs for a bit. We watched one from Ice Age, which was really great and funny had our little boys in absolute hysterics with laughter. 

It is such a great adventure for big and small, and if you haven’t already, its a place you really need to visit.
