PRODUCT REVIEW: GLOBE X SESAME STREET BOARD

During the school holidays and summer break, keeping the kids busy and entertained can be a tricky thing. You, naturally, cannot take them out to theme parks every single day, and neither buy them new toys daily - so we have tried to keep them active with play in the garden, bike rides, and also teaching big boy how to use a skate board, thanks to the cool Globe x Sesame Street board.


Although mr. almost 6 years old, has mastered a big-boy bike without training wheels, and scooter quite well, It was a little tricky at first to ride a skate board, but a challenge is always great, and armed with the right knee, shoulder and hand protection pads, he kept at it. And is now doing quite well.. (perhaps too well for this nervous mummy!) And of course it helps when the skate deck is as cool as this Sesame Street one. The board is made by Globe in collaboration with Sesame Street, which all kids love.

Sesame Street is a nonprofit educational organisation, helping to provide better educational opportunities for disadvantaged children. It uses the power of media and its beloved characters, Sesame Street to reach little learners and help with their educational development.

The Globe G2 Sesame Street skateboard deck is a Resin-7 maple board with a full concave and holographic prism foil with transparent pearlescent ink.

There are several different designs available featuring original character image from the Sesame street archives, ranging from of course Elmo, the Cookie Monster, the Oscthegrch, the Big Bird, Bertern, and as pictured, the Count.

The board is made from an epoxy resin construction which is not just lighter but also stronger, and longer lasting than standard water-based decks. I know my boy will be having so much fun with it for years and years to come.
