PRODUCT REVIEW: POO-POURRI SITTING PRETTY AND POTTY POTION FROM IGLAMOUR

I live in a house with three males - and while thankfully hubby is fully house trained - our two boys, aged 3 and 5 have a bit to go, and at times forgets to flush the toilet. And as for the little one, he still needs help getting cleaned up afterwards. Poor me, as it doesn’t always smell like roses when he’s done. But thankfully Poo-Pourri, which is a Before-You-Go Toilet Spray that you simply spritz into the toilet bowl onto the water's surface before you go to do your thing. And now they’ve just launched two new fragrances Sitting Pretty* and Potty Potion* (don’t you just love their names!!)

As Poo Pourri puts it; "Nothing is worse than stinking up the toilet at work, or at a party, or your lover’s apartment. Flushing removes the graphic evidence but what about that subtle scent of a 300-cow dairy farm? How do you make the world believe your poop doesn’t stink? Poo-Pourri! Simply spritz Poo-Pourri in the bowl to create a film on the water’s surface that actually traps the odours, so all those around you smell a refreshing bouquet of essential oils. Yes, it is a real product! And yes, it really works! Poo-Pourri, it’s our business to make it smell like your business never happened“. With my background in marketing, I love clever and funny marketing like this, just too hilarious.

You’ll find more fun on their YouTube videos (you must check them out, they’re so hilarious), but also with the writing on the individual bottles is just funny.. For instance one bottle says; "There once was a lade named Mel, whose drama she'd rather smell. With a spritz to stay classy, you bet your sweet sassy, she fiercely bit odour farewell”.

Poo-Pourri also says that they "care about your health, your toilet, and this precious world we poop in", and their products are therefore free from synthetic fragrance, parabens, phthalates, aerosols, or alcohol — "just ALL stink-fightin’ good stuff (oh, and a pinch of magic).”

We put the two new scents versions to the test, including;

• Sitting Pretty - a mix of Jasmine, Rose and Citrus essential oils
• Potty Potion - a mix of Lavender, Tea Tree and Rosemary essential oils

As a lover of anything citrus scented, needless to say that I particularly love Sitting Pretty, but the freshness of the Tea Tree in the Potty Potion makes it a gorgeous scent too.

And these Poo-Pourri’s really do work, making your toilet smell so much nicer, they’re seriously such a clever idea that they should be in all bathrooms.

And the small bottles - which by the way last forever with enough for about 100 uses - are just too cute too, so they’ll look adorable in your bathroom too. Definitely worth checking out.
