PRODUCT REVIEW: MISSGUIDED BOSS BABE AND BABE DREAMS FROM CHEMIST WAREHOUSE

It’s barely been a week since I told you about all the new Body Mists from Missguided (you can read abut them here), the young and hip trendy UK fashion retailer that has websites around the world. And now, they’re launching another two fragrances in Australia…Missguided Boss Babe* and Missguided Babe Dreams*, which are both available from
Chemist Warehouse .

The two new fragrances joins Missguided’s first fragrance, Babe Power (the rose gold bottle), which I’ve previously featured, so I am not going to go into details about it here (but you can read more here). But now, let's talk about the two new fragrances, Boss Babe and Babe Dreams..

The Missguided Boss Babe contains the following notes;
  • Top Notes: Bergamot, Pear, Pistachio
  • Middle Notes: Rose, Almond Milk, Orange Blossom and Magnolia
  • Base Notes: Patchouli, Amber, Tonka, Vanilla, Musk and Sandalwood

And next is the Missguided Babe Dreams, which contains;
  • Base Notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper and Red Fruit
  • Middle Notes: Rose, Orris and violet
  • Base Notes: Patchouli, Amber and Vanilla

A couple of the notes are the same in the two scents, such as Bergamot in the top notes, Rose in the middle notes and Patchouli and Vanilla in the base notes, but regardless the two scents couldn’t be any different.

The
Missguided Boss Babe comes in the dark grey can, and which perfectly represents the fact that this is the heaviest of the two scents. It is the sweet floral and in my opinion a quite heavy woody and musky scent, which I am not really a fan off. It has a good staying power, but I think musky scent often are. If you do like heavier and more intense scents, you may want to give this one a try. It may be too heavy for day time wear, but it would make for a great scent for a night out or for wear during winter. And due to the heaviness of this, I also find that it might be more suited to a slightly older woman.

Then there’s the Missguided Babe Dreams comes in the pastel pink bottle, and is slightly sweet (thanks to the red fruit) and floral scent. It is also slightly powdery thanks to the vanilla. The wear of this scent is not quite as long, simply because it is also lighter, but that said, it does still last throughout the day. At first spray it is a little sweeter thank what I’d normally wear, but once the initial sharp sweetness has worn off, it is quite lovely. It is a great spring and summer scent and due to the sweetness, I think this one would appeal to a younger woman or teenager too.

Both scents come in the same unique can as the initial Babe Power fragrance, and it has such a unique atomiser, almost like opening a bottle of soft drink. I absolutely love the bottles. Yes, I do love a sleek, stunning, classical and luxurious perfume bottle and I while I cannot say I think these cans are, there is just something cool about them, that will most definitely appeal to a younger crowd. I also love the positive vibes Missguided send with these, from the little cute quotes on the bottles, to the words ‘Spray for Good Vibes” on the top of the bottles.

Overall, these are great scents, and needless to say that my favourite of the two is the lighter Babe Dreams (though I still think Babe Power will remain my favourite of the three, plus I also still think that rose gold can is a tad prettier). But as the two new scents, Boss Babe and Babe Dreams scents are so different, one of them is sure to fit your taste preference.
