PRODUCT REVIEW: LIMITED EDITION NOURISHED LIFE X BELLABOX

This year, the bellaboxes have been better than ever, if you ask me - but what what I love even more, is when they have their special limited edition boxes. These are a little more expensive than the usual monthly box, but they are also absolutely loaded with products, which makes them so exceptional, both value wise, but also in terms of all the new goodies you get to try.

And this time, bellabox has done the collab bellabox x Nourished Life*, to bring out a limited edition box

The box is done in collaboration with Irene Falcone, the founder Nourished Life, which if you’re not aware, who is selling a curated selection of natural, organic, cruelty and toxic free makeup, skincare and lifestyle products via the online store. The limited edition bellabox x Nourished Life contains a selection of 15 products, including;

Life Basics Makeup Blender Sponge - Full Size, RRP: $14.95
This brand is one of Nourished Life’s own brands, and I have not tried it before. I also have to say that I am not the biggest user of makeup sponges, usually preferring to use brushes (or my fingers!), but that said, this sponge dos feel great. It is for helping achieve a smoother and more blended seamless look when used with tinted moisturiser, or foundation.

Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Bar Soap in Citrus - Deluxe Size, 34g - RRP: $7.95 / 140g
I have previously tried quite a few of the products from Dr. Bronner’s and really like it (you can see my latest feature here). I am not generally a big user of soap bars either, with the main reason that I find they quickly get very messy, and look messy in my bathroom too - but I actually really like using these, specially the non-scented version for cleaning my makeup brushes, as they are natural and so super gentler. But with citrus scented products being my absolute fave, I look forward to putting this one to the test too.

Ethique Tip to Toe Shampoo & Shave Bar - Full Size - RRP: $22.00 / 110g
Same as above, I am not huge on soap bars but regardless quite intrigued by the multitasking product that doubles as both shampoo and shave bar. To use as a shampoo, you simply swipe the bar down the wet hair from root to tip several times, lather up, before rinsing out. To use as a shave bar, it can simply be lathered up with the hands and applied to the skin before shaving. The blue soap bar has a mild pepperminty scent, which you can only love. I may be passing this one onto hubby to put to the test while shaving.

Grants of Australia Mild Mint Natural Toothpaste - Full Size - RRP: $4.20 / 110g
I have never before tried a natural toothpaste, so do look forward to trying this one out. It contains organic aloe vera to to help soothe and provide a deep clean, to fight plaque, prevent cavities and freshen the breath, without irritating sensitive teeth and gums

No Pong All Natural Anti-Odourant - Full Size - RRP: $8.95 / 35g
I have only recently put these to the test (you can see my full review here), and admit that prior I was a little sceptical about this deodorant, and how effective it would be. But I have to say that I was and am really impressed with them. It really does keep the pong away, while being gentle on the skin, and having a lovely fresh scent thanks to the added lemongrass

Patch Organic Strips In Aloe Vera - Full Size - RRP: $7.99 / 25 pack
Another product I love and have previously tried (you can see my full review here), and keep stocked up, especially as these natural organic bamboo patches are hypoallergenic and therefore perfect for my little boys who both have reactions to standard adhesive strips. These have added aloe vera to help provide a natural wound care alternative, with no red marks, on even the most sensitive of skins.

Life Basics SPF 30 All Natural Facial Sunscreen - Full Size - RRP: $24.95 / 100ml
Another one of Nourished Life’s own products. This sunscreen is vegan and all natural, and contains among others calendula, rosehip oil and green tea, promising to be hydrating, and applying silky smooth and with a non-greasy satin finish, being perfect for apply8ing under makeup. I am always struggling with sunscreens being too greasy, especially on my face, so I look forward to putting this one to the test.

WotNot Facial Wipes - Travel Pack, 5 wipes - RRP: $8.99 / 25 wipes
These are my favourite facial wipes. I love the fact that these 100% biodegradable cotton cloths are organic and enriched with with organic Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to heal, nourish and protect the skin leaving it supple and glowing. This little pack is great for the handbag or when travelling.

Power Super Foods Cacao Powder - Sachet sample - RRP: $29.95 / 1kg
I love that this is certified Organic organic and Fair Trade, also provides economic and social empowerment to small-scale Peruvian farmers while encouraging biodiversity conservation. The Cacao powder is rich in antioxidants and great in both raw and baked treats.

English Tea Shop Organic Wellness Energise Me Tea - One Tea Bag
This tea is meant to enliven your spirits with this uplifting blend of Spearmint, Blackberry, Lemongrass, and Ginseng, to help boost your energy levels and put the spring back in your step! This sounds pretty good to me, and even more so now that it is winter. I also love that it is caffeine free.

Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil - Sample, 1ml - RRP: $79.95 / 30ml
I’ve previously tried a few of the products from Miranda Kerr’s Kora Organics range, and quite enjoyed them, so look forward to trying out this face oil. It is made with Noni Extract, with Rosehip, Pomegranate and Sea Buckthorn oils to provide a rich source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. It promises to smooth, nourish and brighten the skin, which sounds pretty good to me, so I look forward to trying it out, only would have liked a slightly bigger sample to be able to try for a few days to get a full idea of how it feels on my skin.

Black Chicken Remedies Cleanse My Face - Sample, 5ml - RRP: $59 / 100ml
I’ve never tried any products from Black Chicken Remedies, so quite excited about this one. It is a purifying oil cleanser, that promises to be a deeply calming oil that gets rid of the daily grime, containing 14 remedial oils, that also target impurities and removes makeup and dirt.

Weleda Skin Food - Sample, 10ml - RRP: $14.95 / 30ml
I love the products from Weleda, but never tried this one so again quite excited about its inclusion It is a deeply nourishing and intensely hydrating body moisturiser formulated with plant extracts to help restore and protect dry and rough skin.

100% Pure Cocoa Butter Semi-Matte Lipstick in Currant - Full Size - RRP: $29.95 / 4.5g
This is one of the products I am most excited about in this box. I have never heard of the brand before, but the sound of a 100% natural lipstick made with among others Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Vitamin E , along with natural fruit pigments sounds pretty amazing to me. It is soft and smooth and very moisturising and nourishing on the lips, almost like wearing a lip balm. And the shade, Currant, is a lovely berry-red shade that gives the lips a fully saturated opaque colour. Just gorgeous.

INIKA Organic Long Lash Vegan Mascara - Full Size - RRP: $45 / 8ml
This second item that I am extremely excited about. I absolutely love the makeup from INIKA, but am yet to try their mascara, so couldn’t have been better. This one is made from 100% plant derived ingredients, and promises to be clump free, offering long, voluminous lashes.

Bonus - Black Chicken Remedies Complexion Polish - Sachet sample, 1g
Finally, there was a little bonus sachet sample wit a facial polish. This one is made with a blend of rice, argan shell, sandalwood, myrrh powders and kaolin clay to help gently exfoliate for a an invigorated and and revived skin.

So there you go, the contents of the limited edition bellabox x Nourished Life. It is said to have a value of over $180, and considering the price of the Inika Mascara, the Pure Cocoa Butter Lipstick, the Life Basics SPF, and Etique Bar alone are worth $45, $29.95 and $24.95, and $22 respectively, for a combined value of $122, does make it easy to see what the value is coming from.

And in addition, the remaining full sized products including the No Pong, $8.95, and Life Basics Makeup Blender, $14.95, Grants Toothpaste, $4.20 and Patch Strips, $7.99, adds a further $33, making it a total of $155 worth of products. And of course add to that the smaller samples too.

I am still most excited about the mascara and lipstick, but will certainly also find the sunscreen and patches useful. And will without a doubt put all the other products to the test too. I would have love if a couple of the products had been slightly larger in size - I mean, seriously, who’s not over tiny sachet and vial samples, so small that you’ve only got sufficient product for one try, and thus would have loved a few extra tea bags, a little more cocoa and especially a bigger size of the Kora Noni Glow, ie. at least 5ml (the tiny 1ml vial is worth just $2.65!).

However, that said, I am very impressed with the amount of products in this box, and the fact that it contains a massive 8 full sized products out of the 15 samples in the box. And of course I love that all the products are natural and organic and that I get try out so many new brands and products that I’ve never come across before.
