AFTERNOON SNACKING WITH COOKIE DOH CO AND UPPERCUP // PRODUCT REVIEW

At our house, it is rare to get a full batch of muffins, cupcakes, cookies…half of them simply don’t even make it into the oven, as my little boys and hubby simply cannot leave the dough alone. And afterwards, my husband even tells me off if I scrape the bowl with the dough too much, leaving nothing for him to lick off!!

Enter the brilliant Cookie Doh Co - edible cookie Dough, that has been designed to eat as a treat, straight out of the tub. As they say, it isn’t exactly healthy, it contains plenty of sugar and fat and all the other things, which makes sweat treats, well treats, and something we only ought to eat when we really need a treat, and not use a substitute for healthy food. But one gotta treat oneself from time to time right, and then its handy to have a tub or three in the fridge. And they last up to 3 months when refrigerated.

These Cookie Doh’s are made without the use of eggs, not even pasteurised eggs, so it is safe to eat raw. There are several different varieties in the range, including Apple & Cinnamon, Triple Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, Raspberry & White Chocolate and Cookies & Cream.

We tried the Raspberry & White Chocolate and Cookies & Cream, and needless to say that my boys, big and small were super excited, and almost fighting over it. Super delicious, You can of course also mix it into various other things, such as ice-cream if you wish.

These are seriously a great idea, so unique and different from any other treat you’d usually have, and with the variety of flavours, there’s something for everyone.

And what’s a treat with a cuppa… and for me, whether I’m home or out, its usually coffee. And lately I’ve been enjoying sipping it from my Uppercup reusable cup.

These cool Uppercups are designed and made in Melbourne - gotta love locally made products - and in a response to the growing amount of disposable coffee cups ending up in landfill every year, with Australia alone contributing to 1 billion cups yearly. Its considered the second largest waste category after plastic bottles, now that’s scary fact, and a sad consequence of take-away coffee addiction. And its one good reason for using a re-fillable cup when you go to the coffee shop.

The Uppercup has a patented design made from a new kind of high quality Eastman Tritian Copolyester plastic, which is BPA and BPS free. It has a very durable glass-like frame that is not only odour and stain resistant, but also dishwasher safe.

It also has double insulated walls to help your drink stay warmer for longer while fingers stay cool, and you can write on it too, which is great when using it at cafés, as you can simply wipe the writing off again afterwards. The Uppercups looks super stylish, and it is available in a different colours, to fit your personal style or decor, as well as it is available in different sizes.

I also love using mine at home, now only am I a tad clumsy - recently had to go purchase a new computer as the old one didn’t enjoy that I knocked a drink over it, and well, with two little kids, I am so used to being distracted that I often drink my coffee cold. But thank to the lid, my drink is not only ‘safer’ the insulation also means that I can actually enjoy it warm. Such a nice change.

So if you're looking for a treat and want do do your bit to help save the environment, but without sacrificing your daily caffeine fix, you simply have to check out the Cookie Doh Co and Uppercup.
