FRAGRANCE FRIDAY: CHRISTINA AGUILERA DEFIITION EDP

It’s Friday yet again, how fast to the weeks fly by!! Anyway, it also means that its time for the next instalment of Fragrance Friday. And today its all about the newly launched Definition Eau de Parfum from Christina Aguilera.

Christina Aguilera wanted it to be an empowering fragrance of dynamic contrasts evoke the definition of your feminine power within.

This fragrance contains:

  • Top Notes: Sicilian Bergamot, Italian Mandarin, Red Apple
  • Middle Notes: Vanilla Orchid, Diamond Orchid
  • Base Notes: Hinoki Wood, Ambergris, Heliotrolpe, Musk

With the orchids in the middle notes, this fragrance is an oriental floral fragrance. However, it is also slightly sweet and fruity from the mandarin and apple, and it also has a powdery muskiness, thanks to the vanilla orchid and the musk. I am not usually one for oriental floral scents as I find they can be quite heavy, as well as I am not fond or either too sweet or too musky scents, as I feel they’re a bit ‘head-achey” - however, somehow this scent manages to balance all the scent and make it quite light, and the slight touch of fruitiness, powdery musk makes it quite wearable.

It is also quite light, which does mean that you have to reapply throughout the day in spite of it being an EdP, but it does mean that it is great for everyday wear too.

It comes in a simple, yet quite classic and pretty tall bottle with a pretty pink floral design printed on the bottle and a black ribbon around the neck.
