I’ve been putting a selection of their products to the test..
Raww Purify-ME Gentle Cleanser is a gel cleanser that has been enriched with wildberry harvest and coconut water to help add long-term hydration to the skin, along with Kakadu plum, rich in vitamin C to help brighten the skin, slow down the ageing process, help clear the skin of bacteria and keep it clear from blemishes. It also contains avocado oil to help firm the skin, and Moringa oil, rich in Vitamin A and C to help stimulate collagen production and nourish the skin. This cleanser also has a fresh coconut scent. I did feel the this cleanser struggled a little removing my long wearing makeup, but I have enjoyed using it as my second cleanse. The cleanser is very gentle on the skin, and really does leave it feeling soft, smooth and more glowing too.
Then there’s the Raww Smooth-ME Fine Line Serum, which is a super light serum that is so light, it is almost watery. Consequently it also absorbs super quickly into the skin and without any greasy residue what so ever, so it is also perfect to use under your usual moisturiser and under makeup. It is made using wild berry harvest and coconut water for added hydration, goji berry to help fight free radicals and the visible signs of ageing, along with Kakadu plum to help brighten the skin, slow down the ageing process, help clear the skin of bacteria and keep it clear from blemishes and acas berry to help brighten the skin by protecting it from environmental agressors.
This serum has slightly odd scent, though you do detect a touch of coconut. But I really like the lightness of this one, and the fact that it is so super gentle that you can even use it around the sensitive eye area. It comes in a glass dropper bottle, making it very easy to use.
The Raww Recover-ME Face Oil is face oil intended to add intense moisture for dull, tired skin used best at night. With my combination skin I am not usually overly fond of face oils, as I do find them too rich for my skin. Considering this is an oil, it is surprisingly light, and it absorbs fairly quickly without greasiness, leaving the skin feeling so soft. And you can clearly feel the intense hydration it gives the skin. My skin always gets a touch greasier during the warmer months, so I’ve only been using this a few times at night, and know I’ll find it even ore useful come the cooler months when my skin tends to become a little drier. It is made using coconut oil for hydration, coconut oil to add moisture, acai berry for glowing skin, avocado oil to help firm the skin, and evening primrose oil to help reduce the signs of ageing. I am not usually fond of coconut scented products, but even I think that the subtle coconut scent of this oil is quite lovely. It also comes in a glass dropper bottle, making it very easy to use.
Moving onto the makeup, first up there’s the Raww Wildberry Boost Primer. This natural primer is made with coconut water, and wildberry harvest, to add nutrients and moisture to the skin, along with liquorice Root to promote skin elasticity and reduce pigmentation, Rosehip Oil to replenish and help heal skin to create a perfectly primed base for makeup application. With my ageing skin I love the sound of a primer that helps fight my pigmentation and care for mu skin as I wear it. It has a light creamy consistency, and it is quite concentrated so you only need the tiniest of pumps to cover the full face. It glides easily onto the skin, but does take a few moments to absorb into the skin, but that said, I much prefer that to the usual silicone primers. It does help my makeup apply even easier and stay put looking nicer for longer. If you’re after a 100% natural primer, this will be the one for you!
Then there’s the Raww Moringa Lash Impact Mascara, which is a 87% natural mascara, which again I think is fantastic. It is infused with moringa oil to help stimulate lash growth, along with chia seed and organ oil to protect and condition the lashes. Apart from helping to grow, protect and Nourish the lashes, this mascara, unlike most other mascaras, doesn’t make any huge claims as to what it really does. It does give the lashes a nice separation, length and volume, though nothing too dramatic, so its a great mascara for those casual days. It is also very gentle, so it doesn’t irritate even my very sensitive eyes.
Finally, there’s the Raww Coconut Splash Lipglosses, which are made with 95% natural ingredients, which again I really love. They are made with mango butter and chia seed oil to help soothe and soften the lips while firming and plumping them, pomegranate oil to add nutrients and hydration and coconut oil to add moisture and help restore dry lips. These lipglosses adds a lovely shine to the lips, and considering they are called lipglosses, they are surprisingly pigmented, and actually almost like liquid lipsticks, but all while feeling soft and smooth on the lips. And as they are so pigmented, they also have a good wear of a couple of hours. I tried a selection of shades including Barefoot (a brownish nude), Poolside (a peachy shade) Flip Flops (a coral) and Tankini (a dark berry shade), with the ladder two being my favourites for the pure reason that I simply prefer darker lips. There are several other shades in the range, and I’ve already got my eyes on a few of the darker red shades, as these simply feel so lovely on the lips while adding so much pigmentation.
Overall, these products from Raww really are great, and I love that they are loaded with all the superfood ingredients for added benefits to the skin, while not being loaded with any of the chemical nasties. And as a bonus the products are Australian made and owned too as well as they are certified cruelty free.
There are several other products in the product range including more skincare, foundations, powders, blushes, lipsticks and nail polishes.
