PRODUCT REVIEW: CUT IT OUT! DESIGN STUDIO

Today it is time for another toy review, this time of the cool Cut It Out! Design Studio.Having two toddlers, it can at times be difficult to keep them entertained, and amused, being home with Mummy most of the time, and even more so now that its winter and it is cold and wet outside. But thanks to the Cut It Out Design Studio, we have hours and hours of fun..

The Cut It Out! Design Studio is the ultimate indoors activity for a rainy day. With the Design Studio, you can make the most amazing paper creations. You see, the unique pens magically cuts out your own designs so you can makes an endless array of cool and colourful designs, including shapes, cards, flags, of you can follow the design guide to learn how to make heaps of different crafts, you name it, the suggestions are endless.

The Cut It Out! Design Studio comes cleverly packaged as a little 'desk' with its own cutting mat, and underneath you can store all the other accessories that are included, including the glue stick, strong, project sheets, coloured paper, instructions, the magic swivel, and of course the four Cut it Out Markers. And when its in use, the pens can be placed in little holes on the board, so they are within easy reach.

The unique Cut It Out markers both colour and cut, so the shapes can be lifted off the page, and then perhaps glued onto the coloured paper for a unique design.

This playset makes is intended for children over the age of 6, so my 4 year old has struggled a little - mainly because he is yet to master the art of drawing specific shapes, and have the stability in his hands to cut them out hereafter, but with a bit of help and supervision, he is still having so much fun. I love the fact that while the Magic Swivel is a cutting tools, it is still designed so that they are perfectly safe for little hands, just so clever.

I can only see my little boys getting more and more into this, producing an endless selection of artwork as they get older and older, and essentially learn to draw more different things that they can subsequently cut out and use. And yes, the special markers, as any other marker, will probably end up dry at some point, but luckily you can purchase new ones to keep topping up the set.

If your little one is into making crafty creations, then I highly recommend that you checkout the Cut It Out Design Studio.
