AUSTRALIAN SKINCARE FAVOURITES

Happy Australia Day - hope you've all enjoyed a nice day. And as Australia day draws to an end, what better occasion than to salute some great Aussie brands that I am currently loving… Here goes..

ModelCO BB+ Cream - I usually feel I need more coverage than most BB Creams can offer, but this one is an exception, as it has a surprisingly good coverage evening out my complexion, and covering slight pigmentation and bags under my eyes, while still looking natural. It also works great with my combination skin as it is oil free and it has a matte coverage, and I also love that it comes with SPF30.

La Mav Organic BB Cream - I love the fact that this one is not only made with organic ingredients of which 73% are certified, and that it is free from all the chemical nasties including petrochemicals, parabens, sulphates, synthetic fragrances and colours, talc, silicones etc. It only has a light coverage, and while I would have liked a slightly better coverage, it does even out the skin nicely and leaves it with a nice glow, thanks to the tiny shimmery particles. I also love that it has anti-ageing benefits so it cares for my skin while I wear it.

Inika Baked Mineral Illuminisor - this stunning illuminisor is perfect for leaving a gorgeous sheer glow your face, décolleté or shoulders. It has just the right amount of sheen to make it look natural and not over the top glittery, and I love the fact that the products are organic and do not contain any harmful chemicals.

DB Designer Brands Flawless Lip & Cheek Cream - this is a great budget product that is also so versatile that it can be used on both lips and cheeks, hey, even as an eyeshadow! The shade Flushed is a lovely dusty rosy shade that is super flattering, and the stick makes it quick and easy to use too, you simply swipe or dot and blend with your fingers or a makeup blender sponge.

The Beauty Chef Beauty Fix - don't be fooled by this little jar, as it is a true multi-tasker. It is loaded with natural ingredients including coconut, linseed, chickpeas, brown rice, rosehip and olive oil as well as vitamin E. And it can be used for just about anything from helping to heal damaged skin, smooth wrinkles and lines, soothe and hydrate the skin, and protect from environmental damage and it can be used anywhere on the body where the skin is a little dry or needs a little extra TLC, including face, or hands and nails.

Harvest Garden Herbal Facial Tea - This facial tea not only looks amazing, it also smells incredible thanks to among others rose buds, calendula flowers, peppermint leaves, chamomile flowers and cornflower petals. The facial tea is to be used as a steam tea to deeply cleanse and detoxify your skin, and is great for using before a facial mask as it also helps opening up the pores, so the subsequent mask and treatment can really do its work.

Cinch Face Cheat Moisturiser & Glow - this wonder spray is loaded wit kakadu plum, which has the world's highest concentration of vitamin C, and it offers so many incredible benefits to the skin. It not only gives the skin an immediate luminous glow, but it also ads continuous moisture to the skin leaving the skin soft and smooth, all while helping to minimise pores and reduce wrinkles. It is perfect to use on clean skin, or to set your makeup, or when you need to freshen up in the middle of the day. I also love the fact that it doesn’t contain any parabens, mineral oils, sulphates or synthetic fragrances.
