Today I'd like to share with you a newly discovered favourite, the Thalgo Cold Cream Marine Deeply Nourishing Body Cream.
This cream is an intensive cream designed for very dry and sensitive skin, and let me here start by saying that I don't normally have dry skin, but for some reason, this winter has really taken its toll on my skin, and the light body lotions which are usually more than sufficent for me, have simply just not cut it this winter, leaving my skin dry, scaly and itchy too. So this intensely nourishing cream was a welcome addition. The gentle scented cream contains a high concentration od repairing cold cream marine, along with shea butter, and cocoa butter to give the skin intense hydration to help repair dry and damaged skin, while repairing the skin barrier. It also contains organic white lupin extract to help stimulate the skin to synthesise its own essential lipids. Wild rose oil, passionfruit seed oil, sweet almong oil, olive fruit oil, cupuacu butter along with sea water to work together to intensely nourish, repair and soothe the skin.
The thick cream does take a few moments to absorb, but it instantly feels calming on the skin, and already after the first application you can tell that the skin is enjoying this intense drink of moisture, and while using my usual body moisturisers I've had to reapply during the day when my skin has become itchy, this is simply not needed when using this cream.
At $67 it doesn't come cheap, but as always, the French has it right when it comes to skin care, and this Body Cream is no exception as it has seriously made such a difference to my dry, itchy and irritated skin this winter that I definitely find that it is worth it. I am not sure that I will have the need for such an intense cream come the warmer months, but then there is also a lighter Body Lotion available from the same range which would no doubt be worth checking out too!
