The L'Occitane Light Comforting Cream contains 5% shea butter. The shea butter is particularly rich in omega 6 and karitene, both of which help moisturise, nourish and give the skin protection. It promises to keep the skin soft, supple and moisturised for 48 hours, while also protecting it against external aggressions.
The cream has a very light, and with its non-greasy texture it is perfect for my combination skin. It absorbs quickly into the skin, without any greasy residue, so it is also perfect for use under makeup. The shea butter content did have me worried that it would be too greasy for my skin, but that has far from been the case, and it has definitely made my skin feel thoroughly moisturised and very soft too, and without making my blemish prone skin irritated, congested or make it break out, so as such I have enjoyed using this cream.
That said, I feel that this is a basic moisturiser, and sadly I am at the age where I feel the need and see benefit from using specific anti-ageing products that as well as add moisture to my skin, also target lines, wrinkles and pigmentation, and thus my preferred moisturisers from L'Occitane would without a doubt be the Immortelle Divine range which I talk about here
However, if you are in a younger age group and need a great moisturiser, then I can highly recommend that you check out the Light Comforting Cream.
