PRODUCT REVIEW: RIMMEL LONDON MOISTURE RENEW SHEER & SHINE

today I'm excited to share with you a new range of lipsticks from Rimmel London, the Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine collection.

L-R: 100, 200, 300, 500, 600 and 700

These new lipsticks have a moisturising formula, and offers a translucent sheer pop of colour on the lips.

I do feel that these lipsticks are better suited to spring and summer, and they have no doubt recently been launched in time for Europe's spring and summer - but I do appreciate that they have been launched here now, as opposed to waiting until the Australian spring!

That said, I do love wearing these now, as the moisturising formula is perfect for dry winter lips too! The lipsticks claim to be a vitamin-enriched gloss-in-a-stick, moisturisng the lips, giving them a radiant touch of juicy colour and energising shine.

Go Sheer & Shine when you want to play it light! this vitamin-enriched gloss-in-a-stick moisturises lips, giving a radiant touch of juicy colour and energising shine, and they have among others been enriched with;

• Pomegranate sterols to help to hydrate and condition lips and enhance their barrier function.
• Marine filling spheres, which are composed of two biopolymers (chondroitin sulfate and collagen) known for their hydrating and film forming abilities.
• Hyaluronic filling spheres - microspheres of hyaluronic acid that act as tiny sponges, absorbing water to smooth out lip lines.
• Vitamins A, C and E to help care for lips’ delicate skin.
• Mango butter, which is deep moisturising and has anti-oxidant properties.

In Australia 6 colours have been launched, but I have noticed a further two shades, so a total of 8 shades available in the UK range. The Australian range consists of;

100 Woke Up Like This - a very light pale pink, which I unfortunately don't feel suits me
200 Glow-rious Pink - a medium pink shade, that is very wearable
300 Pink Rules - a fuchsia pink shade that is more pigmented than most other shades, and without a doubt one of my favourites
500 Red-y Set Go! - an orangy red shade that also is very pigmented, and another clear favourite
600 Spin All Spring - a soft peachy coral shade, which is also very wearable
700 Better & Brighter - a beigey nude shade, which again I unfortunately feel doesn't suit me

L-R: 100, 200, 300, 500, 600 and 700
So personally I have two clear favourites amongst these, which is also the two shades which are darkest and seem to have the best pigmentation, Red-y Set Go! and Pink Rules. Come spring and summer I have no doubt that I will also increasingly be loving especially Glow-rious Pink but also Spin All Spring, while unfortunately the two palest shades in the range, Woke Up Like This and Better & Brighter, unfortunately I just not for me.

L-R: 100, 200, 300, 500, 600 and 700

And these lipsticks really do feel so lovely and moisturising on the lips, they are literally like a hybrid between a lip balm and a lip gloss. All shades can be built up a little in colour, but again, the darker the shade, the better the pigmentation (and wear) seems to be, but regardless of the shade, they all apply with a lovely sheen, that is sure to brighten the face. I also love that they come with SPF20 to protect lips from harmful UV damage.

If you're after a just a touch of colour in a formula that's super moisturising and caring for the lips, then you need to check these out!
