Today I'd like to talk a little about Faby's newest range, the Illusion Fall Winter 2015 2016 collection.
If you are not familiar with FABY, you need to check them out ASAP. It is a brand styled in Milan Italy, and they have more than 200 different lacquer shades, treatment products, lacquering gel and in their collection, so definitely something for every taste and occasion.
And what I really like is that the FABY products are 5-Free, meaning that they are made without all those nasty chemicals such DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate), Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor – FABY is the Big 5 Free.
The new Illusions range includes beautiful dark and rich shades that can be broken into different categories such as The Classics and The Moody Dark Shades
The Classic include shades that will never go out of style, such as a classic red as well as dark rich burgundy purples and ox-blood red As You Like it, which is a warm and rich red. These shades always be the winter staples.
The dark moody shades are usually also making a come-back during the colder months, and these include shades such as midnight navy blue with a shimmery twist Ocean Boulevard, dark dusty forest green Ginevra’s Halo and a deep moody charcoal grey, Unknown Dimension.
I am really struggling picking favourites out of these four beautiful shades, as each is stunning in its own right. Again, a shade such as the warm red As You Like It, you can simply never tire of, and the charcoal Unknown Dimension is so understatedly beautiful, and perfect for a monochrome outfit. Then there's the dark navy blue Ocean Boulevard, which with the shimmer is perfect for a night out, while the dark dusty green Ginevra's Halo is so different to anything else I've got in my growing nail polish collection that I've fallen for that one too! With such stunning shades, its simply impossible to pick favourites!
Common for all shades is that they are incredibly easy to apply – even for someone like me who is otherwise quite hopeless applying nail polish, and that’s all thanks to the special flat brush that makes application easy and quick, and streak-free too. Like most, they do require two coats for a solid colour payoff.
I also tried FABY's Drop Dry, which even though the polishes dry super fast, helps reduce drying time even further, which is just perfect for someone like me, always on the go chasing two little ones, and hence always manages to scuff my nail polish before its completely dry! In addition, it also helps extend the wear of the polish and make the nails look beautiful and shiny by giving them a smudge-proof protective finish. This is due to being infused with inca inchi oil and Vitamin E, which also means that the cuticles and nail bed are giving a nourishing and moisturising treatment at the same time.
The FABY Drop Dry are used after nail polish and top coat by applying one to two drops to each nail. When the nail polishes are used with a top coat, and the Drop Dry on top, I manage to get 6-7 days of wear from a manicure before they start to chip at the edges, which personally I find very impressive!
