The lipsticks promises to give a burst of bold intensely saturated colour, with a matte look, all while having a very creamy formula.
The new range of Creamy Mattes are available in 8 beautiful shades ranging from deep pink, reds and plums, while I tried four of the shades;
- Daringly Nude (655) - Pale dusty nude pink
- Mesmerizing Magenta (680) - Blue tinted fuchsia
- Siren in Scarlet (690) - Blue tinted warm red
- Divine Wine (695) - Dark berry
I am generally not very good with nude shades, maybe because I still haven't found the right one to match my colouring, but that does mean that them Daringly Nude shade is my least favourite of these four, although it is one of the better nudes that I've come across in a long time.

From here it gets a little tricky as I really love the next three bold shades, they are very different, but regardless I actually love each of them.
Now onto the actual formula of the lipsticks, and here I have to admit that I am impressed, I wasn't expecting much, as matte lipsticks have failed miserably in the past, but these Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks really are creamy and very comfortable to wear without feeling tacky or drying the lips out. They slide onto the lips very easily and smoothly and are also incredibly pigmented, which also mean that they last really well on the lips - in fact, the darker shades managed to stay put through a sandwich lunch! I did do one touch up during the day for a bit of extra oomph mid-day, but that is also pretty impressive in my opinion.
Packaging wise, these lipsticks look like other Color Sensational Lipsticks, only the plastic case is a frosted purply-bronish-grey shade, that is actually really lovely. What I also like about these is that they have their colour coded label in one end, so if you happen to have several colours from the collection, you can easily see the shades up.
Overall I am really impressed with these Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks as Maybelline really has succeeded in making a matte lipstick feel soft and moisturising, so I already plan to check out the remainder of the shades!
