I am not normally a fan of powder foundations, feeling I can get a much better coverage and a more even finish with a liquid foundation. But this mineral Foundation Powder really is like a second skin, leaving it matte but with a nice glow. It comes with a sponge included, but I prefer to apply it using a Kabuki Brush. And it easily covers pigmentation, redness, and dark circles under the eyes – and even if you build up the layers it still looks so natural and not cakey at all. On the days I feel like I need extra coverage, I apply it on top of a BB or CC cream, and it still looks amazing.
It has a good long wear, staying put all day without settling into fine lines, and without making my combination skin look shiny. It comes in a smart black round compact with a large mirror in the lid, and it opens in two layers, with the compartment to store the sponge underneath the foundation.
RRP: $59 – Available from Laura Mercier Counters and from

This eyeliner is a liquid eyeliner with a tip that has the shape of a marker, and while it this makes it easy to draw a thick and bold line, it is also thin at the edge so you can also draw a thinner and more delicate line.
It is extremely pigmented, so you only have to trace once, and it simply stays put all day long, looking like you’ve just applied it.
RRP: $40 – Available from Estee Lauder Counters
Under my eyes I always use a kohl pencil, and the new Super Liner Silkissime is a 24h waterproof eyeliner with a nice silky and shiny effect. It is so soft and easy to apply, so you don’t have to drag or pull at the sensitive eye area.
My eyes water very easily, so the fact that it is waterproof is a must for me – and it really does stay put all day – even on the waterline, yet removing easily at night with a waterproof eye makeup remover.
RRP: $22.95 – Available from Priceline
This is an eye shadow in a pen shape. It is so quick and easy to apply and blend – so its perfect for me, having a baby and still not having a lot of time to do my makeup. I like that you can use a little for a washed out effect, or use more if you prefer a bolder look. The Amethyst colour is a lovely bronze-brown, my preferred shade.
This is a mini-sized stick, available from a set of 4 shades,
but a full sized Caviar Stick has a RRP of $39 – Available from Laura Mercier
Counters, and Adore Beauty
This mascara is amazing. I have never had particularly long lashes, and I am hopeless at applying false ones, but this mascara seriously gives my lashes length and volume, without clumping or making my lashes stick together. It comes in a nice silver tube, and it has a fantastic brush with tiny plastic bristles that covers even the tiniest of hairs in hard to reach areas as well. It is no wonder that everyone around the world raves about this mascara!
RRP: $38 – Available from Myer
This is the first makeup product from Illamasqua that I’ve ever tried. And it seriously didn’t disappoint. No wonder this was initially theatre makeup, as it is so pigmented. The blush Velvet Blusher has the texture of a cream blush, so I find it easiest to apply with my fingers. And it really only takes the tiniest amount – in fact, the first time I used it, I used amount I normally would for a cream blush, and ended up having to wash the makeup off my face and start all over, as I just had so much on it looked horrible.
As well as being so pigmented, it also has the most amazing staying power – if fact the best I’ve ever come across in any cream blush, it simply stays put all day without fading or budging. It comes in a large modern square compact with a clear lid, making it easy to see the colour – and being so large, and so concentrated, it will seriously last you forever and ever!
RRP: $28 – Available from Myer
This mineral lipstick has a very rich feel containing nourishing
natural oils and super-fruit extracts to moisturise the lips, and it really
feels super moisturising. The colour Margi is bright red, and one light coat
gives a nice sheer look, while it has such a good pigmentation that it can also
be built up to an intense coverage.
It has a gorgeous fruity scent, and a nice staying power, even after a drink, and when it fades, it fades naturally, leaving a touch of colour on lips, and even when the colour has worn off, it leaves the lips feeling moisturised as if you have just worn a lip balm.

I have talked about this Invisible Lip Shaper from Innoxa before, but it remains a favourite of mine, and it doesn’t matter which shade of lip colour I am wearing, being invisible it is perfect, and helps the lip colour from bleeding.
RRP: $14.95 – Available from Priceline and Innoxa Online
