Product Review: L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes

I am sadly at the age where I am starting to see an increasing number of lines and wrinkles, as well as an increasing amount of sun spots and pigmentation, and there is no denying that the bags under my eyes are unfortunately also getting bigger, so I am always on the lookout for a miracle eye cream. Here are my thoughts on the L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes;

What I Say:

When I saw the L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes, I was instantly impressed. The gold box, and has a very detailed description of the benefits of the product, and the ingredients used. I also love the fact that it has the brail language on the box, that is a nice touch.

Inside the box there is a solid yellow/gold glass jar, which is so beautiful and just screams luxury. The jar is see-through, which is handy so you can see exactly how much product you have left. And I love that it comes with a pump, as I find it so much more hygienic than jars of creams. The pump is so robust that it makes it easy to get just the amount of product you need, so nothing is wasted.

The instructions recommends applying the eye cream with a specific energising massaging technique – this did take me a little getting used to, but I could definitely see the benefits of the increased blood circulation in my face, and hence improving the absorption of the cream, although I also have to admit to forgetting to do this massage every time I applied the cream.

The Divine Eyes has a lovely scent of lemon, but it is quite gentle, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes that easily water, especially when products are too perfumed. The scent lingers for a little while after using the cream, as I really like, as I love the refreshing scent of lemon - my favourite scent!

 

 

It has a gel texture, and is very concentrated, so just a gentle and small pump gives more than sufficient product for both eyes. The cream absorbs immediately leaving my eye area feeling soft and smooth, and without any greasy feeling, so during the day also the perfect to use under makeup.

After using the Divine Eyes for approximately 8 weeks, both morning and night I feel that the look of my fines lines have improved and the bags have minimised. The skin feels soft, smooth and thoroughly moisturised.  

At $89 for 15ml it is not a cheap eye cream, but as only a very tiny amount is needed so it will last you for quite some time. Having now used it twice a day for the past two months, I still have approximately half left, so I can imagine that a bottle will easily see you through four or so months, which does help justify the high cost.

All in all, it is a fantastic eye cream, of very high quality and with such great results, and therefore I would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody over the age of 35 who is starting to be concerned with the signs of ageing. It may be pricey, but if you can afford it, you really won’t be disappointed. It truly is a divine cream.
