Great Multi-Tasking Products

Suddenly having a newborn I no longer have time to spend forever in the bathroom with my usual beauty routine, but not wanting to completely ‘let go’ I’ve realised the importance multi-tasking and fast-acting products. Here are some of the products that I’ve enjoyed using for the past 6 weeks since becoming a mum;

 

 

*Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2 in 1 Cleanser Mask (RRP $13.99, 150ml) - Available from Priceline, pharmacies and supermarkets.

 

 

Gone are the days where I could pamper myself in the bathroom for hours, which means that products such as masks which need to dry for 15-20mins, I simply no longer have time to use. Bring in the Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2 in 1 Cleanser Mask, which is both a cleanser easily removing makeup, but left on the skin for just 5 mins, the clay formula that contains salicylic acid to help absorb oil and dirt deep down in the pores to prevent breakouts, and help keep the skin shine-free. And the menthol in the mask means that it has a nice slightly cooling effect too, so when rinsed off I’m left with a glow on my cheeks too! And 5 minutes, that’s about the time it takes me to brush my teeth and my hair and get dressed, before the mask needs to be rinsed off. No downtime. Perfect!

Don’t get me wrong, but to those hair masks that need to stay in the hair for some 20 minutes are usually fantastic, but fact is that it isn’t often that I feel I have time to use them. And especially now. And that’s where the Organix Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil 3 Minute Miraculous Recovery is so fantastic.

It contains fortifying keratin proteins to reinforce each strand, increasing elasticity to resist breakage caused by brushing and styling, as well as it contains argan oil to condition and smoothe and create a luminescent shine.

While I was pregnant I was constantly asked, 'so when you’ve given birth, are you going to get your hair cut short?’ I have not once considered this. Although I have had long hair for as long as I remember, I actually think that long hair is easier to keep and maintain. You don’t have to spend forever styling it in the morning if you haven’t got the time, simply put it in a pony, braid or bun and you’re done. But what does take time with long hair is the washing, drying and not least combing it. The longer the hair, the more changes of tangles. Big tangles!! Enter the Shine Brush. I don’t normally have dry lips. Or dry hands. Or dry nails for that matter. But this winter it just seems to be worse than ever. Especially my hands and nails. With two dogs living inside the house, and a newborn baby, I wash my hands countless times during the day, and clearly my hands and nails are suffering. And that’s where Lanolips 101 Ointment has been so handy. A tiny bit on my lips when I go to bed at night and my dry and chapped lips are soft when I wake up in the morning. This is such an amazing invention (if you’ve missed my full review of this, you can see it here), when you are in a rush or have hit the snooze button on your alarm clock once too many times. You simply use it in the shower after your normal shower gel, and rinse off. Done!! Although I have to say that while I have always applied moisturiser after my showers, and also found it necessary after using this In-Shower – I have to be honest and admit that there has been a few days lately where I have had to skip the body lotion as my little boy has been calling out for me – and while my skin normally would go dry and quite itchy, this is not the case after I’ve used the Nivea In-Shower. Amazing! And typical for Nivea it comes at a fantastic price too.
