One of those brands I was introduced to not long ago was Genie Beauty, and I seriously cannot rave enough about their Nutratanicals Antioxidant Foundation (read about it here), Line Smoothing Concealer (read about it here), and Make Me Blush (which you can read more about here).
So I was very excited to put a few more products from Genie Beauty to the test, including;
- Instant Line Smoother
- Million Dollar Lash Booster
- Million Dollar Mascara
- Superglide Gel Eyeliner
Let’s start with the Genie Instant Line Smoother, which is a really unique product that promises to instantly smoothes away the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, bags and puffiness. The product can be used on the bags and wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, forehead, lips, neck and décolleté. It contains among others;
- Collagen to hydrate and keep the skin soft and plump
- Aloe Vera to cool and soothe and have anti-inflammatory benefits
- Silk Proteins to help bind water to the skin
- Cucumber Extract to cool, soothe and revitalise the skin
- Vitamins A, C & E to help reduce free radicals
The actual Line Smoother goes on clear, and dries clear, and helps instantly smooth out lines and wrinkles, bags under the eyes, acne scarring and other imperfections - and results last until you wash it off!
I quite like this for especially some old acne scars, and it really does make then appear smaller instantly and the skin appear smoother. I like that it can be mixed into my usual liquid foundation. I also love that it is fragrance free, contains no silicone (which I suspect of clogging up my pores resulting in breakouts!). A great backup when you feel you need a little extra.
Then there’s the Genie Beauty Million Lash Booster, which is like a primer for the lashes. But it not only primes, it also helps to condition and hydrate the eye lashes thanks to beeswax, Natural Glycerin, Carnauba Wax and Vitamins A, C and Green Tea, to help hydrate and nourish the lashes, make them thicker, longer and protect them from breakage.
The cream coloured Lash Booster has a creamy consistency and is easy to apply to the lashes thanks to the curved brush, and it really does instantly make my lashes appear longer, thicker, fuller and also with a nice curl, all of which is only accentuated further when adding mascara on top.
I love that this is so gentle on the eyes, and is free from alcohol and other ingredients that an irritate or dry out the lashes. But rather it is loaded with ingredients that actual cares for my lashes and treats them while I wear it.
Next is the Genie Beauty Million Dollar Mascara, which is a treatment and a mascara in one, containing a blend of hydrating botanical waxes, including sunflower seed, carnauba and rice bran waxes to help condition the lashes, making them soft and supple lashes. It gives the lashes great volume, thickness, and length and a nice natural curl, and I really like that the lashes remain soft and supple, and doesn’t get stiff and crunchy. That also means that you can easily add a few extra coats, without any problems, to achieve a more dramatic look if you like.
Having very sensitive eyes that easily get irritated and water, I love that this mascara does not contain parabens, silicone, alcohol or fragrance, and that it is Hypoallergenic and Dermatologist tested too. A brilliant mascara that gives your lashes an amazing look, all while caring for them at the same time.
The Genie Superglide Waterproof Gel Eyeliner, is a super soft pencil eyeliner, which is so soft that there’s no need for pulling or tugging at the sensitive eye area. And once it has dried, it is both sweat proof and waterproof, lasting throughout the day, without fading or sliding. You can smudge it, but have to be sure to do it quickly before it dries. It is quite pigmented, thanks to mica silicates, so usually a single stroke is sufficient, but you can if needed apply an extra coat for a more intense and glossy look.
This is a great eye liner, and again I really love that it is so gentle on my sensitive eyes, as it is free from parabens, alcohol and fragrance. As it is so gentle, it is also suitable for use on the inner rims of the eyes. I tried the shade Blackest Black but it is also available in Espresso, which I’m keen on getting too.
Also pictured above, is the stunning golden Genie Makeup bag, which has just the perfect size for a few of your favourite beauty products on the go, or when travelling.
These products from Genie Beauty really are so lovely to use and wear, and I really love that they combine makeup with skincare benefits, so they care for my skin and lashes as I wear them. So I can definitely highly recommend that you check out these products, as well as I’m now keener than ever to try more from their range..
