Times have changed, and these days we all always have a camera with us in our smart phones, and I thin that has made kids even more keen than ever wanting to take photos too.
But after one dropped, and smashed phone thanks to clumps little kiddie hands, I cannot say that I am always fond of handing over my phone for the kids to play with - and that’s were the Kidizoom DUO 5.0 dual Lens Camera* is just amazing.
This Kidizoom DUO 5.0 dual lens camera is a high-tech camera and it loaded with so many features, that you'll be surprised that it is actually a ‘toy’.
It features among others;
- 4x digital zoom
- Front camera 2.0 mega pixels
- Rear facing camera VGA for easy selfies
- Intelligent auto-portrait mode
- Built-in auto-flash
- 2.4” colour LCD screen
- Colour Filter effects
- Triple photo burst mode
- Cool built in learning games
- Dual view finders
- Voice recording feature, with different voice changing effects
- Editing features with over 70 fun effects such as stamps and stars
- Animation maker
- Internal memory to store around 200 photos (and supports microSD card for memory expansion, card not included)
- Ability to connect to the VTech Learning Lodge for extra downloads of photo effects, apps and games
With this camera, the kids can take all the photos and videos they like, and it is so easy to operate for small fingers too.
The front and rear lenses can be swapped at the touch of a button, making it simple to take photos, videos, and even fun selfies!
And once photos are taken, kids can have so much fun adding cool effects, stamps and frames to their photos and videos, or even use the auto-portrait feature to take photos automatically, record their voice and apply funny effects too! And finally, once done, the photo and video files can be transferred to a PC for further editing, or simply to be saved.
It is simply the coolest toy, hours and hours of fun for the little ones, and it is so easy for them use too - it will keep them entertained when you're about and about as they'll be busy taking photos and videos of everything they see, and later, they can sit down and have just as much fun editing all their photos.
This camera is not the cheapest toy around, at $99.95, but as you can see above, it is a digital camera loaded with features making it basically like an 'adult camera', with the bonus that it is easy for little hands to hold, plus it comes in a child proof case that is solid and sturdy and can actually handle the occasional drop to the floor.
It is seriously so loaded with features that I feel we keep coming across new ones - and I feel not a moment goes by where our big 4 year old doesn’t say, look mummy, as he finds new things it can do. This is seriously the coolest interactive toy, and I love that it my boys are actively learning through their play.
The Kidizoom DUO 5.0 Camera is suitable for children 3-9 Years, and available in blue and pink.
