Beauty supplements are all the rage at the moment, and I admit that I’ve jumped on the train too, as I believe you need to treat from within too. And the Nu Skin ageLOC Y-Span supplement*, are the ultimate in beauty supplements.

And who doesn’t love a great beauty gadget, which can make the world of difference to the healthy of your skin. I am currently loving the Nion Beauty Opus Elite*.

This cleansing brush is made from S-ion Technology Silicone (contains silver and tourmaline) which produces negative ions that work like tiny magnets. These attach to positively charged toxins, dirt and impurities as well as free radicals responsible for premature ageing, tissue damage and skin discolouration, by creating a heavier element which rinses away easily. The ‘brush head’ features several different surface textures for the ultimate clean.

The brush also has 3 kinetic (up and down vibrations) to cleanse the skin by helping to release the toxins, and improve circulation while preserving natural oils in the skin.
It also features 3 different pulsating massage vibration speeds, to help boost the radiance of the skin, for a more beautiful skin.
It also has an integrated sound and timer that lets you know to switch facial sides half way through the routine for the most ideal cleanse. It also comes with a charging station for the rechargeable battery.

It is super easy to use, simply apply your usual cleanser to your skin, wet the Nion, and then activate it by holding down the power button for 3 seconds to start. You can then press the up or down Button to select your preferred speed, and then gently glide it over the face in circular motions for the three minutes until it stops. During the cleansing, you can also press the power button for a massage boost, a feature I personally really like.

This Nion Beauty Opus Elite is not only super pretty in pink (though it is also available a stunning white), I also love how the soft silicone bristles cleanses my skin with its super gentle vibrations, and not harsh abrasive friction, like other cleansing brushes. I clearly saw an immediate difference in the feel and look of my skin when I started using it, with my skin feeling softer, pores, more refined and my skin generally just more clean. I also felt my skin looked fresher, brighter and more glowing too, clearly enjoying boost in circulation from the massage function. It also helps following skincare absorb quicker and better. A great investment!

And who doesn’t love being spoilt with a new fragrance, I know I certainly do. And the newest addition from Christina Aguilera, Violet Noir is a good suggestion.

It contains the following notes;

  • Top Notes - Blood Grapefruit, Passionfruit, Nectarine Blossom
  • Middle Notes - Rose, Iris, Orange Blossom
  • Base Notes - Patchouli, Musk, Amber
This fragrance comes in a beautiful violet bottle with a stunning lace design and a little black ribbon around its neck. It has a beautiful mature warm citrusy floral scent thanks to the grapefruit, musk, amber and added floral notes such as rose and patchouli.

And while I am not personally a fan of overly musky scents, this one is gorgeous as it has the citrus scent to pair it down a little making it somewhat zesty at the same too. It is an EDP, so it is also very long lasting, and I can apply it in the morning and it is still going strong at night.
Christina Aguilera Violet Noir EDP - RRP: $39 / 50ml
Available from Chemist Warehouse

Another fragrance suggestion would be the Britney Spears Rainbow Fantasy*. This fragrance comes in a bottle like the previous Fantasy fragrance, but with a pretty rainbow design with graduating shades of yellow, orange, pink and blue.

The fragrance contains the following notes;

  • Top Notes - Cloudberry, Pear Leaf, Finger Lime
  • Middle Notes - Peony, Water Lily, Jasmine
  • Base Notes - Woody Notes, Crystal Amber, Cotton Candy

This is described as an oriental floral scent, but personally I wouldn’t say that it is oriental, but rather a fresh floral scent with the the added Cotton Candy does mean that it is a slightly sweet scent, though the added woody notes and crystal amber gives it a touch of warmth too, taking away a bit of the sweetness. It is a very light scent, and also an EDT, which does meant that the longevity is not quite as long, but then you do get a very large bottle, so you can apply a few times throughout the day. The lightness and sweetness also means that I find that this one is also suitable to a slightly younger woman too.

Finally, there’s the newest launch from Jennifer Aniston, Chapter Two*. This fragrance has been described as “representing natural grace and effortless elegance, alluring and attractive characteristics without trying too hard.”

It contains the following notes;
  • Too Notes - Coconut Water, Sparkling Mandarin, Fresh Lavender, Watery California Accord \
  • Middle Notes - Orris, Gardenia Petals, Sensual Jasmine, California Hibiscus, Solar Floral
  • Base Notes - Sandalwood, Musks, Ambrette, Golden Amber Rays

Again, I am not a huge fan of musky heavy scents, and with the base notes in the fragrance, I honestly didn’t think this would be a fragrance for me. But I have been pleasantly surprised, as while it does have musky tones and consequently is a warm scent, it also has a floral powderness along with a slightly testiness from the mandarin, which makes it a very pleasant fragrant, - and one I find is great for everyday wear during autumn and winter as it unlike most other musky scents I’ve tried, it is not overly heavy. It wears fairly well throughout the day, but although it is an EDP, I do feel the need to reapply again if going out at night.

If you’re looking for a beautiful scent for the home, you cannot go past the Palm Beach collection, including this gorgeous Vintage Gardenia Diffuser*. It has top notes of Apple, middle notes of jasmine, floral, rosewood, Lily of the valley, and Carnation and base notes of Cedarwood and Wood - and trust me when I say that it smells divine. A beautiful floral, yet fruity scent. And the quality of the scent is so high that I can smell it all over my very big house. It is very long lasting, up, up to 5 months of scent life, depending on where it is placed, how much heat it is exposed to, and how much it evaporates. I find it is sufficient to just use a few of the included reeds, but you can add as few or as many as you like, to increase or reduce the strength.
Palm Beach Collection Vintage Gardenia Diffuser - RRP: $39.95

For something a little different threes a personally embroidered silk pillow case from Silk Only*. This pillow case is hand crafted from 100% Mulberry silk, and it is so thick and soft. The pillow case is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, and hypoallergenic and so soft on the skin, and its recommended by some dermatologist that sleeping on a good silk pillow case can actually help minimise wrinkles, as well as it can also mean less knotty hair in the morning!! And it is seriously the softest and most luxurious thing to sleep on, and all while looking super stylish too.
The Silk Only range, which as well as pillow cases, sheets, sleep wear, and eye masks, is available in stunning colours including Ivory, Charcoal, Silver Grey and Soft Pink

Another fantastic suggestion that she’ll enjoy for years and years to come, is a new hair dryer, and you just cannot go past Parlux, known for their premium quality, and hence also often used in hair salons where they stand the test of time. The Parlux Alyon Air Ionizer Tech Hair Dryer* is made using the latest Air Ionizer Tech along with the new K-Advance Plus motor gives superior performance in terms of higher power and a longer lifespan of an amazing 3,000 hours. Now

It also has 2250 watts of power and 84 cubic metres per hour airflow, which reduces drying time, and thereby it is much kinder to the hair. It also has a unique patent pending HFS (Hair Free System) that allows the hair dryer motor to be kept clean thanks to a hair catcher system that increases the lifespan of the hairdryer.
In addition, the hair dryer also features;

  • Air Ionizer Tech Ionic Technology: to ensure healthy drying
  • 4 temperature / 2 speed settings to allow for all hair types and styles
  • Ergonomic design with balanced weight
  • Ver lightweight at just 425g
  • Professional K-Advanced Plus Motor
  • Anti-heating front body for easy styling
  • iSoft Touch switches
  • Cold Air Button
  • Includes two concentrator nozzles to direct airflow
  • 2 year warranty
  • Made in Italy
This hair dryer not only looks amazing - just how gorgeous is this Matte Graphite colour, though it is also available in a large range of other cool shades, including, yellow, pink, coral, green, turquoise, bronze and black.

The hair dryer is easy to hold, even for a small hand, and the lightness means your hand won’t get too tired, even if you got a head of thick long hair like mine.

And the powerful motor really does make drying and styling the hair so much easier, and the fact that it dries the hair so much faster, also means that my hair is exposed to the heat for a shorter period of time, so I am not only saving time, it is also better for my hair. And in spite of being so powerful, the hairdryer is surprisingly quiet, which I like too. In addition, ionic technology helps infuse the hair with ions and thereby moisture, to help ensure it stays silky smooth and free from frizz.

This is seriously an incredible hair dryer, in fact, without a doubt, the best hair dryer that I've ever used. Not cheap, but your hair will thank you for years to come.
I have also been using the hair dryer with the Parlux Alyon and Advance Hair Dryer Diffuser. This diffuser is designed to help create more natural volume to the hair, and for those with curly hair, more defined curls, without any frizz. It is easy to clip onto the hair dryer, and I like how it diffuses the air flow and helps enhance my wavy hair a little more. A definite must have if you have wavy or curly hair.

Oh, and before I finish, another skincare suggestion, would be some intimate time with Frank.. literally, as that is what you’ll get with this beautiful selection of goodies from Frank Body, such as the
Mega Complexion Crew Kit from Frank Body*. It contains 6 natural, skincare products that combined help fight breakouts, blemishes and dull skin.

The Melbourne made natural skincare brand that got known for their coffee scrub, but now has a large skincare range too, sold around the world. And as well as using nothing but naturally derived ingredients, the products are also free paraben & PEG free, and cruelty free. The products from Frank Body also comes in such pretty packaging, such as this dusty pink and white, and you just got to love the fun quotes on products and packaging that always makes you smile.

The kit contains;

  • Creamy Facial Cleanser, 100ml
  • Creamy Face Scrub, 125ml
  • Anti-Makeup Cleansing Oil, 80ml
  • Everyday Face Moisturiser, 80ml
  • Anti-Drama Face Mask, 80ml
  • Anti-Angry Face Mist, 70ml

The Creamy Facial Cleanser contains among others charcoal to help fight breakouts and reduce impurities. It works quite well at removing makeup, and I love how it leaves my combination skin feeling so super clean. I have also noticed that it is helping reduce my breakouts, but while still being very gentle and not drying out or irritating my skin.

The Face Scrub is a one minute scrub with added coffee grinds, bamboo and walnut shell powder, along with caolin, reship oil and sweet almond oil, designed to help detoxify pores, fight breakouts and fade scars. This is such a great scrub to get rid of all the dead skin cells, and leave the skin feeling softer and smoother than ever. I also feel that regular use helps keep my pores free from all the ‘gunk’ and thereby help prevent further breakouts.

The Anti-Makeup Cleansing Oil is made of a combination of coffee, grape seed oil and BHA acid dissolve dirt and makeup.

I absolutely love cleansing oils, I always use one as as my first cleanse before removing makeup, and this one easily and effectively removed my makeup too, including long-wearing makeup - and yes, without irritating my sensitive eyes. Most cleansing oils are quite runny and at times it means that I actually lost some into the sink as it drips off my hands, so I actually quite like that this one has a slightly thicker consistency, while still being quite runny (if that makes sense!). I love that it contains the BHA to help exfoliate the skin, removing dead skin cells and to help cleanse the pores from excess oils. And it leaves my skin clean and feeling soft and hydrated, and ready for the second cleanse.

The Everyday Face Moisturiser is a lightweight moisturiser made with a combination of coffee, shea butter and vitamin E to hydrate and nourish the skin, without clogging up the pores. It absorbs quickly into the skin, and is just a great simple moisturiser and fantastic at times where my skin is hormonal and just need something simple without being too heavy or clogging up my pores. It absorbs quickly, and is great for using under makeup too.

The Anti-Drama Face Mask is made with a mix of charcoal, kaolin, chamomile, honey and lavender removes dirt and impurities while soothing the skin at the same time. I love a good mask with kaolin and charcoal as these ingredients really help draw out excess sebum and impurities from the pores, and thereby help reduce blemishes, and this one works wonders in just 15 minutes, leaving my skin feeling clearer and more refined. Sometimes these ingredients can be very drying and harsh on the skin, but not this mask, as the lavender, honey and chamomile helps calm the skin, along with calming down any ‘angry’ blemishes too!

Last but not least, the kit also contains the Anti-Angry Face Mist, which is made with rose water and aloe, and designed to help cool down angry and irritated skin. But it can also be used to add a little extra moisture, freshen up the skin, or refreshing the makeup throughout the day. I’ve also liked using it to help set especially my powder foundations, making them instantly look more dewy.
