I am far from a makeup artist, and in spite of wearing makeup for over 3 decades (did I just give my age away here!?!), one thing I am yet to master, its a perfectly winged liner, and especially when I am in a hurry, which frankly, with two little kids, I am most mornings...
Most mornings simply don’t even try, as I know being rushed, it’ll end bad - that was until The Quick Flick landed on my desk..
The Quick Flick has no doubt been dominating your feed on instagram too, and appears to be a big favourite amongst many beauty bloggers. In short, The Quick Flick is a stamp style liquid liner has made it both simple and quick to create the perfect winged liner.
I have tried;
- The Quick Flick To The Point in Intense Black*
- The Quick Flick Petite 8mm in Intense Black*
The Quick Flick To The Point Intense Black liner is a slim and long wing of 10mm. And with this pen, you can simply achieve a winged liner and in a matter seconds!! You simply line the lash line with the felt tip end of the pen, and hereafter open the wing side, and then join up any gaps with the felt tip side again. It does take a little practice getting used to exactly the right spot to stamp, but once you have, the result is amazing.
I also tried the ‘original’ The Quick Flick. It comes in three different sizes, Petite, which is 8mm, Modest, which is 10mm and Grand, which is 12mm long.
Overall, these stamp a line that are slightly thicker than the To The Point, so you can go very bold if you like with the Grand. I used the smallest one, Petite, as I am often very casual and not often have a need for a bold look, so I found this to be the best option of the original ones, but that said, I do actually prefer the To The Point as I feel the the even finer shape is even better for every day use.
Each Quick Flick pack comes complete with two dual ended eyeliner pens, each with a perfectly shaped wing stamp (one for the left eye and one for the right) as well as two felt tip eyeliners to complete the look.
The actual liners are very pigmented, so you only need to draw (or stamp!) once for an intense look, and I also love how it is both smudge and sweat proof, so it doesn’t budge of my slightly greasy lids, or run when my sensitive eyes water, but it actually stays put throughout the day.
The To The Point comes in gorgeous pink holographic packaging, and even the actual pens are pink too, while the original version come in pastel pink box and the actual pens are black.
Overall, these The Quick Flicks really are fantastic, and especially for someone like me, hopeless at creating the perfect wing, and never actually having the time to even try to perfect it. The actual line is fantastic and says put, and the stamp style, just makes it super easy to create a professional look in no time. My only negative is having to reach for two different pens and not just one - there is a left one and a right one, and being blind as a bat without my glasses on, it does make it a little trickier making sure I actually grab the right one. But nonetheless, now that I’ve tried these, I am definitely converted too, my makeup bag with never be without them again!
You also gotta love that The Quick Flick is an Aussie brand (note, they do shop worldwide), and their products are both vegan and cruelty free too.
