The typical gift for Mother’s Day is without a doubt a bunch of pretty flowers. But if your mum is anything like me, then she’ll alway be going through the cupboards trying to find the perfect vase to put them into - and hence, if you want to give her something gorgeous for all of those flowers, then you just cannot go past the Villeroy Boch Collier Vase*.

And who doesn’t love some new beauty products, and this limited edition Mother’s Day gift set, Wake Up Fabulous Set from Rodan + Fields* is such a great suggestion. The set contains Redefine Intensive Renewing Serum, which comes in the form of little blue capsules (60 capsules in the jar).
These little capsules contain supercharged serum with 0.075% Retinal, in a Retinal-MD Technology that encourages the skin’s own renewing process for a skin that is smoother and firmer. The Retinal is more potent that Retinol, simply as both need to be converted to the retinoic acid before they can take effect for the skin. All types of vitamin A are first converted, retinol into retinal, and then to retinoid acid, and therefore, retinal only requires one conversion (and not two), and hence is able to provide more rapid effects. At the same time, these Retinal capsules are more gentle on the skin, and as close to prescription strength Vitamin A.
The capsules are to be used every night (the vitamin A make the skin more sensitive to the sun), after cleansing, and avoiding the sensitive eye area. They are super to use, you simply open one capsule by twisting the top off and applying the contents across the whole face. It absorbs quickly and easy and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.
For the eyes, the set also contains the Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream, which contain Powerful peptides to help smooth and firm the eye area for a more vibrant and younger-looking appearance. The rich eye cream also absorbs quickly into the skin, and leaves my skin feeling deeply moisturised and nourished, yet not greasy at all, so its also perfect for using during the day under makeup. Another great suggestions would be a new handbag, which she’ll get so much joy from, using on a daily basis. My current top pick is The Sak Ladera Leather Crossbody in Black* (though it is also available in several stunning shades such as cognac, mint and arctic blue).
It is made of the softest leather you ever did see. And so thick and gorgeous!! It has a stylish antique brass tone hardware, which makes it both stylish and feminine at the same time, and perfect for both a night out as well as everyday use.
The handbag has a main zipper closure for the main part of the bag, and on the front of the bag is has a zipper feature with two vertical zipper pockets, one on each side, as well as a front slip pocket and back slip pocket, which personally I like to use for my keys and mobile, so they’re within easy reach. Internally, it has several smaller zipper pocket suitable for lipsticks etc, two multi function slip pockets, a larger one and a smaller one, for things like your mobile phone etc. The handbag also comes with a detachable leather tassel key chain, but personally I think its a shame to remove it as it adds such a beautiful feature to the bag, although you can of course attach it to your keys!!
It measures just over 30cm in height with a width of 5cm, and it is small enough to not be a burden to log around, yet big enough to carry all your everyday essentials such as mobile, keys, small amount of makeup, my iPad as well a back-up nappy for my little boy, and without feeling that it is overloaded.
