PRODUCT REVIEW: SISLEY PARIS PHYTO-POUDRE LIBRE LOOSE FACE POWDER

Today on the blog I'd like to introduce you to a new-found love, the Phyto-Poudre Libre Loose Face Powder from Sisley Paris. With combination skin, I always have the issue that especially my t-zone area is shiny by lunch time, so I not only rely on a good primer, but also a good powder. Often powders can make makeup look caked on, especially after touching up during the day, but that's not the case with this Phyto-Poudre Libre.

As with all makeup products from Sisley Paris, it is enriched with active ingredients to help make the skin feel comfortable whist wearing it. It contains among others hibiscus flower extract and Mallow extract to help preserve the skin's hydration and suppleness as well as Linden Blossom and Vitamin E acetate to protect against free radicals.

The actual powder is so exceptionally fine and delicate, it finer than any other loose powder that I've ever used, it almost has an airy texture to it.

And once applied it helps not only set my foundation, and make it last throughout the day, but the translucent powder also mattifies my complexion, lasting all day without making my skin shine, while also giving my skin a beautiful smooth matte and velvety finish with a lovely natural radiance. It's almost like a second skin, and can of course also be used on its own, on top of your moisturiser if you simply want to mattify your skin. And it does so without settling into the (increasing) fine lines on my skin.

It comes stylish round compact that has a mirror on the inside of the lid, as well as it comes with a velvet powder puff that helps give you a super fine application. If you prefer an even finer application, a larger powder brush can of course also be used. I do love that it comes with the powder puff and the mirror so you can apply on the go if necessary, but that said, I don't really feel that loose powder is one of those things suitable to pop into the handbag (although the compact is sturdy and closes securely).

A "photo retouch" effect with the stroke of a brush or powder puff. Ultra-natural, Phyto-Poudre Libre unifies and mattifies the complexion, minimizes imperfections and sets make-up. It lasts all day long, the skin does not shine.

The Phyto-Poudre Libre comes in 4 shades and I tried shade number 1 Irisee, which is the lightest shade, and whilst I am usually a medium beige skin tone, it is still a perfect match for my skin, and also will be heading towards winter.

Overall, yet again I am very impressed with this product from Sisley Paris, but then again, I am yet to try a product that I didn't love. I love the fact that the power is so luxurious to use and I can see the difference in how my makeup looks and lasts when I am using it, and the fact that it comes with skin-caring ingredients that benefit my skin while I am wearing it, gives it even more bonus points.
