PRODUCT REVIEW: RIMMEL LONDON #INSTAFLAWLESS, SCULPTING & HIGHLIGHTING KIT AND LIP CONDITIONING BALM

Today I'd like to share with you some newly launched products from Rimmel London, which includes the #InstaFlawless Perfecting, Radiant Skin Tint, Sculpting & Highlighting Kit and Lip Conditioning Balm by Kate SPF15;

The #InstaFlawless Perfecting, Radiant Skin Tint is a multi-functional product that has several functions from being a primer, a tinted moisturiser and a moisturiser with SPF.

Primes and perfects the skin, erases signs of fatigue, making the skin tone look more even and brighter while giving it a natural-looking radiant glow. It also moisturises the skin for 24 hours and comes with SPF15 to protect the skin from the sun's harmful rays.

The #InstaFlawless Perfecting, Radiant Skin Tint, is like a tinted moisturiser and has a very light and thin formula and it absorbs quickly and easily into the skin, with a nice dewy finish, and a light coverage, yet surprisingly it does manage to minimise the look of my pigmentation and even out my skin tone and give my skin a nice healthy glow, but I still need my usual concealer to cover and hide more prominent marks. It can be used both on its own, or it can also be used underneath your usual foundation, but I must admit to only having used it on its own.

The tint claims to after just seven day's wear, leave the skin more even and with a radiant glow, but I have to say that I have not noticed any permanent change to the look of my skin, apart from when I'm actually wearing the tint.

The tint works well on my combination skin, but the usual shiny t-zone does appear by the afternoon, so a touch up is required. Regardless, I do enjoy using this #InstaFlawless Perfecting, Radiant Skin Tint, as a tinted moisturiser on those days I am just after a quick and simple casual look.

Next is the Rimmel Sculpting & Highlighting Kit, which is the product I am most excited about. All major brands are bringing out sculpting palettes at the moment so that you can use light and shade to help enhance and downplay facial features and sculpt the cheeks you've dreamed of. And well now Rimmel is joining the ranks. This particular kit is made in collaboration with Kate Moss, drawing from her years of experience in sculpting.

The Kate Sculpting & Highlighting Kit is a palette in the shade Coral Glow contains three products – a highlighter, a shading powder and a blush, that you use in combination to create a healthy, radiant, defined and sculpted look.

The kit contains a soft pale shimmery highlighter in a champagne shade that can be used to highlight areas that naturally catch the light - cheek bones, brow bones, the centre of the chin, forehead and bridge of the nose. It also contains a darker shading powder to contour and recede areas of the face that you don’t want to emphasise, such as the sides of the nose, jaw line and hairline. And finally, it also has a powder blush in a coral shade gives definition and colour to the cheeks and added warmth to the whole face.

All three products have a slight bit of shimmer throughout, but it is still quite subtle. They powders are creamy and soft and easy to apply and blend, and you can apply just a little, or if you're after a more dramatic sculpted look, you can also build up the colours to your liking. The shades in the compact suits my medium skin tone quite well.

The palette comes in an on-trend rose gold palette, with the powders on a diagonal line.

Overall I think Rimmel has nailed it with this Sculpting and Highlighting Kit, and I know I'll be reaching for it a lot over the coming months.

Finally, there's the Lip Conditioning Balm By Kate SPF15. I didn't really expect to see a lip balm from Rimmel, but I guess not. The perfect lip does require moisturised lips! Unlike other lip balms, this one has been specifically designed to be used underneath your regular lipstick, without disturbing the colour or longevity of the lipstick, yet while keeping your lips soft and moisturised for up to 8hours. Used on its own, it gives the lips a subtle sheen.

The Lip Balm is enriched with caster oil and pomegranate extract to help no only moisturise lips hours, but also give relief for dry and cracked lips.

I didn't really think I needed a lip balm to go under my lipsticks - I usually only apply lip balm once a day, just before going to bed, and that is more than sufficient for me - but I do really like how it makes wearing even a very comfortable lipstick even more comfortable!

The lip balm comes packaged in the same style as the usual Kate Lipsticks, only it is white, and it has a lovely fruity scent too! Well done Rimmel for discovering a need I didn't know had!
