PRODUCT REVIEW: EMINENCE ORGANIC BALANCE COLLECTION

Today I'd like to tell you about the Balance Collection from Eminence Organic Skin Care. In case you haven't heard of Eminence before, the products are made from premium organic ingredients, chosen for their potent beautifying properties. And what makes these products so unique is that they've been handmade in Budapest, Hungary.

I'm sure many of you have skin much like mine, greasy in the T-Zone area, and more normal on the cheeks - and when you use skincare products you either have to use two different ones to make up for this, or you essentially end up not using the most targeted products.

Well, Eminence has launched the Balance Collection of products to counter the diversity of combination skin.. The collection consists of a The Rice Milk 3 in 1 Cleansing Water, Balancing Masque Duo and Balancing Moisturiser Duo.

These products contain ingredients that will not only help deep clean the skin, but at the same time add intense moisture to the skin.

The Rice Milk 3 in 1 Cleansing Water has been designed to cleanser, tone and remove makeup. It contains rice milk which is rich in nutrients and help hydrate and add moisture to the skin while tightening the appearance of pores. It also contains antioxidants from pomelo juice to help give the skin a more youthful and even appearance, as well as it contains witch hazel for its anti-inflammatory astringent properties which help reduce the look of inflammations as well as jasmine tea which is antiseptic and antibacterial.

I don't feel that this Cleansing Water is very effective in removing makeup, and besides I do love the feeling of splashing water in my face so I usually use a foaming face wash. However, I love using this cleanser as a second cleanse to remove any last traces of makeup, and I love the clean feeling this cleansing water leaves my skin with, clear and smooth, yet without drying it our or stripping it of its essential oils.

This Balancing Masque Duo mas been so cleverly designed that it comes in a divided jar that comes with two products; one to treat the T-Zone and one for the cheeks and the rest of the face! The Charcoal T-Zone Purifier is designed for deep cleansing, pore refining the T-Zone are. The kaolin clay and the charcoal detoxify the skin and draws out oil, dirt and bacteria that can build up and lead to breakouts. It also contains extracts from buchu leaves which over time helps minimise the production of oil in the skin and protects it from bacterial growth that causes acne and breakouts. The added salicylic acid helps even the complexion and the tea tree and eucalyptus oils help soothe and heal the skin after breakouts.

The other half of the jar contains the Pomelo Cheek Treatment which is a moisture rich masque. It also contains kaolin clay to ensure that the cheeks get a deep cleanse, but it also contains soothing shea butter, pomelo juice and bamboo leaf extract to restore skin's moisture, and help minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

I really love how clean and smooth this mask leaves my skin. It simply cleans deep down every single pore, leaving my skin with a beautiful velvety matte feel.

The Balancing Moisturiser Duo contains a Green Tea T-Zone Mattifier and a Pomelo Cheek Hydrator. The Green Tea part helps control the appearance and pores while mattifying he skin. It not only reduces the look and size of blemishes thanks to the buchu leave extract, the willow bark and tee tea oil soothes and repairs the skin, while salicylic acid helps eve and smooth the skin. And the cream does all of this while still adding essential moisture to the skin.

The Pomelo Cheek Hydrator cream is intended for the drier areas of the skin, including the cheeks and it adds intense hydration to he skin while fighting the signs of ageing to leave the skin soft, smooth and glowing.

Common for both creams are that they absorb so quickly into the skin without leaving behind a greasy or sticky residue, so I can immediately apply my makeup.

Some would probably find it a negative that these creams do not contain a SPF, but on the days that I don't go out in the sun, I do prefer moisturisers without SPF, as I feel that SPF often help clog up my pores, then I'd much rather add the SPF on top of the cream on the days I need to. And besides, that they do not contain SPF also make them suitable for night creams, so you don't actually need as many products in your beauty cabinet.

Overall, I really enjoy using these products from Eminence. They are not cheap, but the mere fact that these products are handmade from organic ingredients, I feel, justifies the higher price tag. I particularly love the masque and the moisturiser, and the fact that they come with two products in one to care for different parts of your face, that's just sheer genius!! And before I forget, the products smell absolutely divine too!

And of course, the effects just speak for themselves, as it is obvious that these products has helped make my skin cleaner and more refined and simply less greasy and more balanced, to the point that I feel I don't get as many breakouts. My pores also look smaller, and because my skin is less greasy and has a matte look, it also means that my makeup not only looks nicer, but also stays put for longer! It doesn't happen often, but these products really do live up to their claim of controlling oil, adding hydration and refining the skin!

These products were the first that I've ever tried from Eminence's extensive products range, but if definitely wont be the last!
