Product Review: bhave Bombshell Blonde Shampoo

I have medium brown hair, so when I was offered to trial the *bhave Bombshell Blonde shampoo, it wasn’t exactly suitable for my hair colour, but still I happily accepted so my hubby could trial the shampoo – he once upon a time was blonde, although more and more grey hairs are fast approaching. Here are my thoughts….well actually his…

What They Say:
"bhave™ Bombshell Blonde shampoo is infused with optical brighteners and colour-correcting pigments to clarify colour, neutralise brassiness and yellow tones in blonde, grey and highlighted hair. Enriched with certified organic argan oil and keratin to refresh and bring renewed life back to tired blonde locks and faded highlights".

RRP: $32.95 (300ml) – Available from select hair salons

What He Says:
Having already trialled and reviewed a few other bhave products (you can see the Hydrator Shampoo & Conditioner review here, the Magnify shampoo & Conditioner review here, and the Leave-in Cr̬me hereРso I already knew that all the behave products are free from parabens, sulphates and sodium chloride. Not only Australian owned, and all products are made in Australia, bhave is also the first Australian hair care brand to offer the keratin based hair restoration technology and include it in the hair care collection. Very interesting!

The shampoo is infused with pro vitamin b5 to help heals scalp while moisturising the hair, macadamia oil to help prevent against hair breakage while improving hair strength and elasticity, evening primrose oil, which is high in essential fatty acids and helps strengthen and nourish hair. It also contains vitamin e to strengthen and nourish while adding shine to the hair, as well as certified organic aloe vera to soothe and deliver gentle natural hydration, whilst restoring pH levels.

Both the shampoo comes in white round cylinder bottle with a flip lid at the top. It is such a simple, yet so sleek design. The bottle is easy use in the shower with wet hands too. The shampoo has a nice floral scent, which is very pleasant and far from overpowering – even according to hubby!!.

The actual shampoo is purple. Bright purple!! The first time hubby used it, he came out of the shower afterwards and said that he had paused for a second, not quite sure if he dared to use it – but eventually had. I must admit that I would have been a little hesitant too!

Hubby wash his short hair every day already after the first wash you could see and tell the difference to the feel and look of his hair. He also immediately commented on how nice it is to use the shampoo, and how easily it lathers up into soft foam, and how it makes his hair feel soft and clean (from hair gel and wax build up), yet without drying it out.

One day he switched to a cheaper supermarket brand, and commented on the difference – the following day he went back to using the Bombshell Blonde, clearly realising its superiority! After having used the Bombshell Blonde shampoo for a few weeks, his hair just looks healthier and shinier than ever. And the greys…more distinguished than ever!

At $32.95 each for a 300ml bottle, the shampoo is a little on the expensive end, but it is so concentrated, and hubby uses so little that the bottle will last him for ever. And as his hair simply looks so much nicer, shinier and healthier, it is well worth the money.

If you have blonde, highlighted or grey hair, I highly recommend you try this hair.

  1. It's purple because purple takes out the brassiness in blond hair, which is why purple toner is great for coloured blondes. Great review :)

  2. My hairs dark brown, so it definitely wouldn't be suitable for me! The purple would freak me out at the beginning, but the review sounds great, would love if they sold it here in the UK!
