Here are my thoughts on the Milky Foot products;
What They Say:
"Exfoliate
with Milky Foot Exfoliating Pads. Milky Foot Exfoliating Pads remove hardened,
tough skin and calluses after just one application. The intense foot peeling
effect starts just 5-10 days from the first application and optimal results are
achieved from two weeks onwards. This is the most effortless at-home treatment
to exfoliate your feet.""Soften with NEW Milky Foot Essence. Milky Foot Essence keeps your feet softer for longer especially when used in conjunction with Milky Foot Exfoliating Pads (after the peeling process is complete). This innovative new product has an intense softening action that rejuvenates your feet and keeps them smoother and softer for longer".
RRP: $29.95 each for Milky Foot Exfoliating Pads or Milky Foot Essence. Available from Priceline
Note:
Milky Foot products are not suitable for pregnant women or diabetics.
What I Say:
The Exfoliating Foot Pads are like little
socks that you filled with liquid, which you soak your feet in for a 60-90
minutes. The product is super easy to use. You simply ear the plastic gel
filled slippers and slip in your feet.
At first this feels really funny and a
little squishy but I got used to it after a while. The actual liquid has a chemically smell,
which really didn’t bother me, although it of course would be nice if I was
improved. The box does recommend wearing socks on top – and I highly recommend
that you wear some old ones as it can leak a little. It is also a little tricky
to walk around with the pads, so I enjoyed a nice relaxing hour with my feet
up! While you wait the gel does make your feet feel a little tingly.
When the time is up, the gel washes of
easily – and then the wait started.
After 3 days, my feet started to peel. I have never ever seen so many layers of skin
peeling off from feet before. And this
continues for the peeling continues for the next week. Actually it was getting
so embarrassing as I was not able to go out to the shops in thongs – it almost
looked like I had some kind of foot fungal happening, quite off-putting – so
when you do this treatment, you really have to make sure that you don’t have
some special events coming up!
After
the peeling of my feet had completely finished, I started using the Foot Care
Essence. And what a relief to finally be able to put
some moisture back into your feet!
The Essence contains PolySan, Chitosan,
Vitis Vinifera (grape) and plant extracts to protect the feet and delay the
formation of hardened skin. IT rejuvenates, softens and repairs hardened skin
and cracks on the feet.
The foot essence is liquid with the same
consistency as water. It comes in a bottle with a glass dropper that is
attached to the lid, which makes application very easy. And contrary to the
Exfoliating Pads, the Essence has a pleasant smell too.
The
Essence feels lovely to use and instantly makes my feet smooth and soft. It deeply nourishes the skin, yet without the greasy or slimy feel
of some foot moisturisers. The Essence absorbs instantly, so you can put on your
socks or shoes almost immediately. This really is so much easier to use, and
without the mess of the exfoliating pads. The Essence
truly helps ensure that my feet are kept softer for longer, and maintains the
results from the exfoliating pads.
All in all, some amazing products – my feet
may not quite look like the soft baby feet pictured on the boxes, but they are
definitely much much better than what they were before, I can both see and feel
the difference!!

I have tried Baby Foot, a similar peeling product, once. It was so weird, I left a trail of feet everywhere for two weeks! My feet were a lot softer afterwards though :)
ReplyDeleteoops and my email is catn2kittens at yahoo [dot] com [dot] au :)
ReplyDeleteSame here Kristine! I also tried that one and actually only discovered the Milky Foot last night.
ReplyDeleteI adored the result, but getting there was a bit gross. I had to wear socks in bed they shed so badly.
This is definitely worth doing, but you must plan a good two week window where you don't need to be exposing your tootsies :D
As much as I try to look after my feet, there are areas that are hard to get to, and this type of product gets into all those nooks and crannies around your toes, which is fab. I think due to the toughness of my heel area, a couple of goes are needed for there, but the price makes me hold off doing them too close together.
I also soaked my feet before hand as this was recommended to help soften the skin more to allow deeper penetration of the product. I also moisturised regularly even before the shedding started to help loosen the skin.
I don't imagine much can be done regrading the smell as I believe it is largely based on fruit acids?
My email should be accessable via GFC. I hope :D
This sounds excellent! I would love to try this out!

This sounds like it would be perfect for my mother. She has so many calluses on her feet.
ReplyDeleteI have one foot in a cast after breaking my ankle and I am getting the cast off in two weeks and would love to treat my feet to a Milky Foot surprise. The underside of the cast foot is rather gross from not being able to put a shoe on for six weeks!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to try this for summer!
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting, though a bit scary :P
ReplyDeleteI find that Burt's Bee's Foot Balm/Creme works quite well ;)
