The Elizabeth Arden White Tea Eau de Toilette is inspired by the simple pleasure of the first sip of tea, exquisite and uncomplicated. It contains among others:
- Top Notes: Italian Mandarin, Clary Sage Essence, Sea Breeze Accord, Japanese White Fern
- Middle Notes White Tea Extract, White Iris Accord
- Base Notes: Madras Wood, Abrette Seed Absolute, Tonka Bean, Amber, Musk
Although the White Tea scent is described as a musky-woody floral scent, and I have to admit that I am usually not a huge fan of musky scents - so it is lucky that I don't really agree with the description, - yes, it does have a touch of woodiness and spiciness due to the amber and musk, but I would rather classify it as a very feminine fresh and clean aqua scent, with a fruity freshness thanks to the mandarin and with a delicate floral undertones thanks to the white iris.
As it is a fresh and light scent, this is really the perfect scent for spring and summer (I assume that this has possibly just been launched too in the parts of the world where it is now heading towards warmer weather, and it is just so happens to be Autumn here in Australia!). But regardless, it is still the perfect scent for a casual every day wear. As most fresh and light EDT's, the wear is not the longest, so I do feel the need to reapply again if I go out again in the evening, but otherwise, I do feel that I can detect the scent throughout the day - and the very first day I wore it, I got so many comments on how lovely it was!
It comes in a square glass bottle with a gold lid, and the bottle is solid white at the top, but faded to clear at the bottom, and it is so simple, yet so incredibly pretty.
One way of extending, and intensifying the scent of a fragrance, is always to layer the scent, and what better way, than with the matching Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Body Cream. This Body Cream comes in a huge 400ml white tub, and it has the same beautiful scent as the White Tea EDT. The body lotion is made using cocoa seed butter and shea butter with added antioxidants to help soften and moisturise the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth and with a beautiful scent from the notes of white tea vapours, madras wood, and musk.
This body cream has a light consistency, and absorbs into the skin quickly and easily, and without any greasy residue, on the contrary, it leaves the skin feeling velvety soft and smooth. And that gorgeous scent lingering on the skin for a long time, which I really love. I often find that overly perfumed or fragranced body lotions and cream may smell beautiful, but often lack in the moisture department, and sometimes even dry out my skin - but this one really does pack a punch no doubt due to the shea butter which adds intense moisture to my skin throughout the day.
Finally, the Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Hand Cream, which is nothing but divine too. This little gem also contains cocoa seed butter and shea butter, and is thick and creamy, and leaves my hands so soft, and again without any greasiness. The scent is so lovely, although it means that I simply cannot stop smelling my hands!
So there you go, the newest fragrance release from Elizabeth Arden, White Tea. As I love fresh and light scents, I really enjoy this new scent, and know I'll be reaching for it again and again, while dreaming of warmer weather ahead.
