PRODUCT REVIEW // SKINSTITUT EXPERT REFINE AHA GLYCOLIC TONER AND 10% NIACINAMIDE POWER SERUM - POTENT AND EFFECTIVE SKINCARE THAT WONT BREAK THE BANK
đź’ś The Glycolic Cleanser and Glycolic Scrub from Skinstitut @skinstitut remain some of my loved and re-purchased products ever. I’ve lost count how many tubes I’ve used over the years, so been excited to try a few more products that are both new to me;
🤍 Skinstitut 10% Niacinamide Power Serum - also has Probiotic Complex, Cucumber Seed Oil and Aloe Vera to hydrate, protect, reduce appearance of pores, wrinkles and pigmentation, improve skin tone and texture and regulate oil production, while hydrating, soothing, balancing microbiome and strengthening skin's barrier function.
▪️It can be used AM and PM, but I mainly use AM, and enjoy how the light serum absorbs beautifully, and is gentle on my breakout prone skin. Since using, I’ve found my skin to be less greasy, - and thus my makeup staying put looking nicer for longer - and having less and not as angry breakouts. In my routine to stay!
đź’ś Skinstitut Expert Refine AHA Glycolic Toner - this toner has 5% Glycolic Acid along with Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Witch Hazel to chemically exfoliate the skin, gently removing surface dryness, dead skin cells, and congestion, stimulate cell renewal while fading pigmentation, and balancing the skin, for a skin that is softer, smoother and more glowing.
▪️I use it AM and PM after cleansing, and it love how it instantly leaves my skin looking refreshed and so radiant - and all without drying out my skin. I’m convinced the regular use helps my clearer too. Another new favourite!!
So keen on trying more from Skinstitut, especially from the more potent Expert range!

PRODUCT REVIEW // KLORANE ORGANIC CUPUACU REPAIRING SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER AND MASK FOR DRY AND VERY DAMAGED HAIR
My long coloured hair has felt a little extra dry lately, so its been really enjoying the Organic Cupuaçu from @kloraneau - #AD
The range is designed to restore and repair very dry and damaged hair, while taming frizz, thanks to the
organically-sourced Cupuacu Butter, that is 1.5 times more hydrating than Shea Butter.
It also adds essential nutrients to nourishes and repairs even the driest of hair from roots to tips, leaving it looking healthy, hydrated, soft and shiny without the weigh down.
🤎 The Repairing Shampoo gently cleanses the hair while the Conditioner adds moisture and helps smooth, repair and tame, making it easier to comb out but without weighing it down.
🤎 The Repairing Mask is an intense moisture for when the hair really need it - and I love that it can be used as either a traditional 5-minute mask, overnight, or even as a leave in.
▪️Such a great range, my hair is really loving as it is softer, smoother and looking so healthier, and less frizzy too - and I also love the fact that the products are made with a high percentage of natural ingredients, and they also are formulated without mineral oils, silicones, SLS or SLES.
The range is available from Active Skin

I am really not enjoying the fact that it is now autumn and winter is fast approaching. , but what I do like, is that chance of season, means that the makeup brands often launch new exciting colour collections, and some of these new collections for the autumn and winter 2019 include the Mavala Heritage Colours Nail Polish Collection and the Mavala Legemd Lipstick Collection, which are available from April 2019.

PRODUCT REVIEW: AFFORDABLE YET HIGHLY EFFECTIVE COSMECEUTICAL SKINCARE FROM SKINSTITUT YOU MUST TRY
My skin has always been trouble some. Even today where I should be focusing on anti-ageing, warding off lines and wrinkles and reducing pigmentation, on top, I am forever battling hormonal breakouts. That can often be a tough cookie, as often anti-ageing products are simply too intense and rich for my combination skin.

PRODUCT REVIEW: CLINIQUE ALL ABOUT EYES SERUM AND RICH FROM ACTIVESKIN
One of the very first Luxe brands I started using decades ago, as soon as I could afford it, was Clinique, and immediately fell in love with their products, and today, many of their products remain among my favourite products which I continue to repurchase again and again. But today, thanks to Activeskin, I am going to talk about two different eye creams, namely, the Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage and the All About Eyes Rich...
Let's start with the Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage, which is a very light eye serum that comes in a roller-ball applicator bottle, which makes it super easy and quick to apply. The roller ball helps to gently massage the eye area, and the ball as well as the serum has a lovely cooling feeling which feels lovely on tired eyes, and I find immediately helps revive and de-puff tired and puffy eyes.
It is contains among others caffeine, potent antioxidants and soothing botanicals, and also helps hydrate the and brighten the eye area, while fighting those dreaded dark circles.
The serum is oil-free and as it is so light, it absorbs so quickly into the skin, so you can apply makeup on top immediately
It can be used both morning and evening, and can even be layered with other eye creams, by using them on top if you like, but personally I find that it is perfect on its own during the day, and for use under makeup, - also because, I find that using too rich eye creams during the day can interfere and no to mention reduce the wear of my makeup.
It has a slightly odd scent, but certainly one that you can tolerate, also as it fades quickly, but apart from that, I am really enjoying this eye serum with everything from the roller applicator, to how silky soft and smooth it makes my eye area feel, and of course not to mention, helps make my super tired and tired eyes look a little more awake each morning.
Then there's the Clinique All About Eyes Rich, which is kind of at the other end of the scale, as it is a very rich and thicker eye cream that provides intense moisture to the eye area (note that it also comes in a normal version if this is too rich for your skin) - and while I have combination skin, I do feel that I need that extra moisture around my eye area. In spite of this eye cream being so rich, it is not greasy, and still absorbs fairly quickly into the skin. It promises to help diminish the look of under eye circles, shadows, and fine lines-immediately and over time, while helping to protect natural collagen production and strengthens skin's moisture barrier, as well as de-puffing the eye area thanks to the added soothing botanicals.
It can be used morning and night, but as mentioned above, I prefer to use the eye serum on its own under makeup, so I have been using this predominantly as a night eye cream, and only during the day on the days I've been makeup free at home. That said, the few occasions where I have used makeup on top, it hasn't caused any issues, as again, while is rich, it isn't greasy.
And I can clearly see that my eye area is loving this intense moisture as it is obvious that it is plumping my skin, making my lines look less noticeable, and therefore fresher and I guess I can say more well rested each morning too.
These two eye creams are very different in their consistency, and benefits too - but I actually love using both, and find it hard to say which I like the best as I feel the All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage is fantastic for use during the day under makeup, while the All About Eyes Rich gives my eye area that little bit of extra TLC during the night. I can easily see myself repurchasing both again!

Clinique All About Eyes Rich - RRP: $58 / 15ml

PRODUCT REVIEW: ELIZABETH ARDEN WHITE TEA EAU DE TOILETTE, PURE INDULGENCE BODY CREAM AND HAND CREAM
You may know I'm a bit of a fragrance addict, and cannot stop collecting them, so I always get excited when new ones from my favourite brands are launched. And this new White Tea from Elizabeth Arden, which is available from Activeskin, is no exception, and it has been launched just in time to be the perfect Mother's Day gift idea too.
The Elizabeth Arden White Tea Eau de Toilette is inspired by the simple pleasure of the first sip of tea, exquisite and uncomplicated. It contains among others:
Although the White Tea scent is described as a musky-woody floral scent, and I have to admit that I am usually not a huge fan of musky scents - so it is lucky that I don't really agree with the description, - yes, it does have a touch of woodiness and spiciness due to the amber and musk, but I would rather classify it as a very feminine fresh and clean aqua scent, with a fruity freshness thanks to the mandarin and with a delicate floral undertones thanks to the white iris.
As it is a fresh and light scent, this is really the perfect scent for spring and summer (I assume that this has possibly just been launched too in the parts of the world where it is now heading towards warmer weather, and it is just so happens to be Autumn here in Australia!). But regardless, it is still the perfect scent for a casual every day wear. As most fresh and light EDT's, the wear is not the longest, so I do feel the need to reapply again if I go out again in the evening, but otherwise, I do feel that I can detect the scent throughout the day - and the very first day I wore it, I got so many comments on how lovely it was!
It comes in a square glass bottle with a gold lid, and the bottle is solid white at the top, but faded to clear at the bottom, and it is so simple, yet so incredibly pretty.
One way of extending, and intensifying the scent of a fragrance, is always to layer the scent, and what better way, than with the matching Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Body Cream. This Body Cream comes in a huge 400ml white tub, and it has the same beautiful scent as the White Tea EDT. The body lotion is made using cocoa seed butter and shea butter with added antioxidants to help soften and moisturise the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth and with a beautiful scent from the notes of white tea vapours, madras wood, and musk.
This body cream has a light consistency, and absorbs into the skin quickly and easily, and without any greasy residue, on the contrary, it leaves the skin feeling velvety soft and smooth. And that gorgeous scent lingering on the skin for a long time, which I really love. I often find that overly perfumed or fragranced body lotions and cream may smell beautiful, but often lack in the moisture department, and sometimes even dry out my skin - but this one really does pack a punch no doubt due to the shea butter which adds intense moisture to my skin throughout the day.
Finally, the Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Hand Cream, which is nothing but divine too. This little gem also contains cocoa seed butter and shea butter, and is thick and creamy, and leaves my hands so soft, and again without any greasiness. The scent is so lovely, although it means that I simply cannot stop smelling my hands!
So there you go, the newest fragrance release from Elizabeth Arden, White Tea. As I love fresh and light scents, I really enjoy this new scent, and know I'll be reaching for it again and again, while dreaming of warmer weather ahead.

Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Hand Cream - $19 / 30ml

PRODUCT REVIEW: ALPHA-H LIQUID GOLD WITH GLYCOLIC ACID FROM ACTIVESKIN
One of those products that has claimed cult status amongst bloggers and beauty writers is the Alpha-H Liquid Gold with Glycolic Acid, so when a bottle of it landed on my desk courtesy of Activeskin, I couldn't wait to try it out.
The Alpha-H Liquid Gold is a resurfacing treatment that contains glycolic acid to help diminish wrinkles, pigmentation and sun damage, while brightening and revitalising tired, ageing skin, and it is suitable for anyone with mature, sun damaged, prematurely ageing and acne-scarred skin. The product helps regenerate the skin and force the stimulation of wound healing, for a skin that is visibly clearer, brighter and more even toned.
The Liquid Gold comes in a bottle, and is to be used alternative evenings on cleansed skin, for an intensive treatment you can use it on its own, or alternatively with a serum or moisturiser on top. And you use it by moistening a cotton pad and wiping it over the face, neck and decolletage. Struggling with both pigmentation, ageing and breakouts, I found that my skin needed that little bit extra, so I have been using it on its own. Also, personally I find that I 'waste' a lot of the product by letting it absorb into the cotton pad, so I prefer putting a few drops onto the palm of my hand, and dabbing it into the skin from there.
When you firs apply it, the skin does tingle for a few moments, but that is just a sign that it is working.
I have combination skin prone to breakouts and I have really been enjoying using the Liquid Gold. The 5% glycolic acid contents means that it doesn’t clog up the pores, on the contrary, it helps gently exfoliate and slug away dead skin cells and excess sebum and impurities. And each morning after use, my skin is looking so much clearer and brighter, and any existing breakouts also minimised. And after having used if for a while, I am really impressed with the overall result too, as my skin is looking less dull, but rather fresher, brighter and more even, with in particular minor pigmentation and residual marks from past acne clearly minimised. I also find that my large pores appear smaller in size, and I tend to get less breakouts too, and those that I have been getting are generally smaller in size and seem to clear up a lot faster too. The solution is very concentrated, so if used every second night it will last you a long time. I now know what all the hype is about as it is clearly making my skin look better, so I will continue to use this as a part of my skincare routine, and can see myself repurchasing again and again.

PRODUCT REVIEW: LANCOME VISIONNAIRE ADVANCED MULTI-CORRECTING CREAM FROM ACTIVESKIN
Today I've got a gorgeous cream to share with you, which I've been putting to the test for the past many weeks; the Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream, which is available from the incredible online beauty store, Activeskin.
The Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream contains a combination of Lancome's unique ingredient, LR2412 and Hyaluronic Acid, which combined makes this anti-ageing cream help make the skin feel smoother, more hydrated and plump, reduce the appearance of wrinkles while giving the skin a radiant glow.
The cream has a very light gel texture, which I really love because it absorbs instantly into my combination skin, without leaving it feel greasy or sticky, but rather it leaves it with a velvety soft and smooth feel. And yet, while it is so light, it is still very hydrating too. And all without making my skin feel congested or make it breakout, something intense products often do.
The cream doesn't come with an SPF, which some may find is a negative, but personally I don't mind - I have days where I indoors all day, and then prefer my skin to be free from SPF as I suspect it to contribute to my breakouts, then I can always add the SPF on top on the days where I need it.
And already after a few days of using this cream, I could tell my skin was loving it. My skin in general felt smoother and softer, and somehow fine lines seems less noticeable. But my skin also had a nice radiant and healthy glow. And after using the cream for several weeks, my skin has continued to look better, healthier and more radiant by the day, both with and without makeup.
The cream is very concentrated, and the gel texture means you only need to use a little, so even after using it for several weeks, I can hardly see I've touched, so it will seriously last you months.
It has a lovely floral scent, which I personally love, so I also love that this scent lingers for a while, so I can continue to smell it, but if you're not a fan of strongly scented products, then this one may not be for you. And of course, also worth mentioning is the stunning turquoise jar that it comes in, which is so stunning that you'd want to leave it out on display. So all in all I am really loving this cream. It doesn't come cheap, but going by how much my skin clearly loves it, and the fact that it is so concentrated that it will last me months and months, I can only highly recommend it, and will be sad the day my jar is empty!

The cream has a very light gel texture, which I really love because it absorbs instantly into my combination skin, without leaving it feel greasy or sticky, but rather it leaves it with a velvety soft and smooth feel. PRODUCT REVIEW: PELACTIV VITA C + RAPID C SERUM + AHA
One of those brands I've heard so much about over the years, but never had a chance to try is Pelactiv. Pelactiv is an Australian brand that incorporates the purest Australian native plant extracts in combination with the prime active ingredient, Lactic Acid. Today I am putting the Pelactiv Vita C+ Rapid C Serum + AHA to the test.
This is a serum that contains a high concentration of Vitamin C, 15% to be exact made from a combination of L-absorbic acid and Kakadu Plum, along with AHA and BHA to help treat any visible signs of ageing. The L-absorbic acid works below the skin to also protect it from UVA and UVB rays and stimulate new collagen production, while AHA's from milk extract and BHA's help exfoliate and gently buff away dead skin cells, while hydrating the skin to make it clear and radiant, with pigmentation reduced and the skin looking more youthful.
The serum is to be used at night after cleansing and toning, and three small drops is more than sufficient of the concentrated serum to spread across your face, and neck, avoiding the sensitive eye area. Once fully absorbed, you'll need to follow with you usual moisturiser.
The Pelactiv Vita C+ Rapid C Serum + AHA comes in a cute little silver pump bottle, and the golden serum has a slightly odd scent that lucky does fade rather quickly. The serum has a light consistency, and it absorbs quickly into the skin, making it feel soft and moisturised, and in no way oily or greasy.
Already after a few days use I was in love with this serum, as I could clearly see the difference it made to my skin. The gentle exfoliation is clearly making my skin feel and look smoother, so small lines seem to be slightly minimised too, and it is also helping both keep blemishes at bay and clear up existing ones faster. And in general it is just making my skin look more even and glowing. And with continued use, the results gets better and better, and even after a bad nights sleep, this serum helps my skin look more radiant and alive in the mornings.
So overall I have really enjoyed adding this Pelactiv Vita C+ Rapid C Serum + AHA from Pelactiv to my skincare routine, and I will be sad the day I finish the bottle!
