The Hair Oil contains among others morrocan argan certified oil to revitalise the hair for a healthier, smoother and silkier soft hair, along with seabuckthorn berries to add nutrients to the hair. It also contains rosemary leaf extract to promote growth. It is to be used in dry hair by applying a few drops after styling to help maintain natural moisture and keep the hair silky and shiny. The oil is very concentrated, but the glass bottle has a little dropper so you can dispense the tiny amount needed without any wastage.
Then there's this 100% natural soy candle, Cannabis from Code Manly Original, which is designed for anyone 'looking to find their inner man beard". The soy candle is blended with some 'code-manly fragrance and poured by a human into a perfect white enamel tin, makes this wicked cool and awesome smelling burning wax thingy… slash candle. The tin the candle comes in, is inspired by the WW1 Military Issued Ration Tin. This candle has the scent of 'Fresh Cannabis Plant' and as stated on the tin, this is the 'only bud you can legally burn". Ok, this is so cool - and which male would love this idea - I'm sure most males are like my hubby and find scented candles too girly and overwhelming, but this one, is sure to appeal to his masculine side, - and as it actually smells rather lovely too, it is a win-win!
And just how gorgeous is this tea towel from Roofus Australia. It is made from Belgian Cotton/linen and is from a Melbourne based designer who loves portraying the beautiful Australian landscape in a fresh, bold and energetic way. This stunning and high quality bold orange tea towel will look amazing in any kitchen, and perhaps even make up look forward to doing the dishes.

PRODUCT REVIEW: ELIZABETH ARDEN WHITE TEA EAU DE TOILETTE, PURE INDULGENCE BODY CREAM AND HAND CREAM
You may know I'm a bit of a fragrance addict, and cannot stop collecting them, so I always get excited when new ones from my favourite brands are launched. And this new White Tea from Elizabeth Arden, which is available from Activeskin, is no exception, and it has been launched just in time to be the perfect Mother's Day gift idea too.
The Elizabeth Arden White Tea Eau de Toilette is inspired by the simple pleasure of the first sip of tea, exquisite and uncomplicated. It contains among others:
Although the White Tea scent is described as a musky-woody floral scent, and I have to admit that I am usually not a huge fan of musky scents - so it is lucky that I don't really agree with the description, - yes, it does have a touch of woodiness and spiciness due to the amber and musk, but I would rather classify it as a very feminine fresh and clean aqua scent, with a fruity freshness thanks to the mandarin and with a delicate floral undertones thanks to the white iris.
As it is a fresh and light scent, this is really the perfect scent for spring and summer (I assume that this has possibly just been launched too in the parts of the world where it is now heading towards warmer weather, and it is just so happens to be Autumn here in Australia!). But regardless, it is still the perfect scent for a casual every day wear. As most fresh and light EDT's, the wear is not the longest, so I do feel the need to reapply again if I go out again in the evening, but otherwise, I do feel that I can detect the scent throughout the day - and the very first day I wore it, I got so many comments on how lovely it was!
It comes in a square glass bottle with a gold lid, and the bottle is solid white at the top, but faded to clear at the bottom, and it is so simple, yet so incredibly pretty.
One way of extending, and intensifying the scent of a fragrance, is always to layer the scent, and what better way, than with the matching Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Body Cream. This Body Cream comes in a huge 400ml white tub, and it has the same beautiful scent as the White Tea EDT. The body lotion is made using cocoa seed butter and shea butter with added antioxidants to help soften and moisturise the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth and with a beautiful scent from the notes of white tea vapours, madras wood, and musk.
This body cream has a light consistency, and absorbs into the skin quickly and easily, and without any greasy residue, on the contrary, it leaves the skin feeling velvety soft and smooth. And that gorgeous scent lingering on the skin for a long time, which I really love. I often find that overly perfumed or fragranced body lotions and cream may smell beautiful, but often lack in the moisture department, and sometimes even dry out my skin - but this one really does pack a punch no doubt due to the shea butter which adds intense moisture to my skin throughout the day.
Finally, the Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Hand Cream, which is nothing but divine too. This little gem also contains cocoa seed butter and shea butter, and is thick and creamy, and leaves my hands so soft, and again without any greasiness. The scent is so lovely, although it means that I simply cannot stop smelling my hands!
So there you go, the newest fragrance release from Elizabeth Arden, White Tea. As I love fresh and light scents, I really enjoy this new scent, and know I'll be reaching for it again and again, while dreaming of warmer weather ahead.
Elizabeth Arden Elizabeth Arden White Tea 100ml Eau de Toilette Spray - RRP: $69 / 100ml
Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Hand Cream - $19 / 30ml
Elizabeth Arden White Tea Pure Indulgence Body Cream - RRP: $29 / 400ml

PRODUCT REVIEW: ALPHA-H LIQUID GOLD WITH GLYCOLIC ACID FROM ACTIVESKIN
One of those products that has claimed cult status amongst bloggers and beauty writers is the Alpha-H Liquid Gold with Glycolic Acid, so when a bottle of it landed on my desk courtesy of Activeskin, I couldn't wait to try it out.
The Alpha-H Liquid Gold is a resurfacing treatment that contains glycolic acid to help diminish wrinkles, pigmentation and sun damage, while brightening and revitalising tired, ageing skin, and it is suitable for anyone with mature, sun damaged, prematurely ageing and acne-scarred skin. The product helps regenerate the skin and force the stimulation of wound healing, for a skin that is visibly clearer, brighter and more even toned.
The Liquid Gold comes in a bottle, and is to be used alternative evenings on cleansed skin, for an intensive treatment you can use it on its own, or alternatively with a serum or moisturiser on top. And you use it by moistening a cotton pad and wiping it over the face, neck and decolletage. Struggling with both pigmentation, ageing and breakouts, I found that my skin needed that little bit extra, so I have been using it on its own. Also, personally I find that I 'waste' a lot of the product by letting it absorb into the cotton pad, so I prefer putting a few drops onto the palm of my hand, and dabbing it into the skin from there.
When you firs apply it, the skin does tingle for a few moments, but that is just a sign that it is working.
I have combination skin prone to breakouts and I have really been enjoying using the Liquid Gold. The 5% glycolic acid contents means that it doesn’t clog up the pores, on the contrary, it helps gently exfoliate and slug away dead skin cells and excess sebum and impurities. And each morning after use, my skin is looking so much clearer and brighter, and any existing breakouts also minimised. And after having used if for a while, I am really impressed with the overall result too, as my skin is looking less dull, but rather fresher, brighter and more even, with in particular minor pigmentation and residual marks from past acne clearly minimised. I also find that my large pores appear smaller in size, and I tend to get less breakouts too, and those that I have been getting are generally smaller in size and seem to clear up a lot faster too. The solution is very concentrated, so if used every second night it will last you a long time. I now know what all the hype is about as it is clearly making my skin look better, so I will continue to use this as a part of my skincare routine, and can see myself repurchasing again and again.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold with Glycolic Acid - RRP: $46.13 / 100ml

Product Review: Dermalogica Age Smart Multivitamin Thermafoliant, Skin Resurfacing Cleanser, and Antioxidant HydraMist from RY
Like most others I have taken to purchasing my beauty
products online. This is not only easier that you can do it from the comfort of
your own home, in your PJ’s if you like, but you can also browse around when it
suits you – in the middle of the night if you can’t sleep, or when your little
bub has finally gone down for an afternoon nap!! Here are my thought on the
*Dermalogica Age Smart Multivitamin
Thermafoliant, Skin Resurfacing Cleanser, and an Antioxidant HydraMist, which
I was asked to trial by the online store RY;
What I Say:
What They Say:
"Multivitamin
Thermofoliant combines a unique self-heating technology with powerful chemical
and mechanical exfoliants to smooth and refine while facilitating penetration
of multivitamin actives into skin. After just one use, skin is noticeably
smoother with improves texture. It should be used two to three times per
week in an alternating sequence with skin resurfacing cleanser to avoid over
exfoliation; this will ensure firmer, smoother and healthier looking skin."
"Skin Resurfacing Cleanser: A dual-action exfoliating cleanser
containing Lactic Acid that smoothes, retextures and delivers ultra-clean skin."
"Antioxidant HydraMist: A refreshing antioxidant shield with flash-firming
properties to improve skin texture, fight environmental assault and intensely
hydrate alipoid, dehydrated skin."
The Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant is a gel that contains tiny little
beads, so small you can hardly feel them, and once applied to the skin, the gel warms up on
the skin when water is applied. The warmth helps open the pores in the skin for
a better clean, and I love how it makes the skin feel warm, yet it is still a
comfortable heat, and not so warm that it becomes uncomfortable. After
massaging the Thermafoliant into the skin for a few minutes, dull skin is
removed and my skin is left feeling silky smooth, soft and refined, yet without
over-scrubbing or irritating the skin. My skin simply looks radiant and
glowing.
The Multivitamin
Thermafoliant contains both physical and chemical exfoliants to refine
the skin texture and enhance the penetration of age-fighting vitamins into the
skin. It also contains lactic acid, which helps stimulate cell turnover and
prickly pear extract to accelerate the skin’s natural exfoliation process. It
also contains white tea to suppress the formation of collagen degrading and
vitamins A, C and E to brighten the skin tone, provide defence against damaging
free radicals and help promote skin firmness.
The scrub has a lovely gentle fruity scent, and I love that
it does not contain any artificial colours or fragrances.
The scrub is quite concentrated so only a little is needed,
and as it is so efficient, I only need to use it twice a week, so the 75ml tube
will last me forever. And after having used it for several weeks, I feel that
especially my t-zone where I have particularly large pores, is more refined and
feels less greasy, and consequently my makeup not only looks nicer, but also
stays put for longer. However, I am yet to see any skin firming effects.
The Multivitamin
Thermafoliant came in a gift box with two free deluxe samples including
a Skin Resurfacing Cleanser, and an Antioxidant HydraMist.
The Skin Resurfacing Cleanser is a two in one exfoliating
cleanser. It comes in an easy to use little pump bottle, and just a few small
pumps is sufficient to cleanse the face. As it is an exfoliating cleanser, I
use my standard cleanser to first remove my makeup, and then follow with the
Skin Resurfacing Cleanser. And after massaging it into my damp skin for 30
seconds as recommended, even though you cannot feel any exfoliating particles,
my skin is left so unbelievably soft and smooth.
I follow with the Antioxidant HydraMist, which also comes in
a small pump bottle, and is a thick spray. It doesn’t spray on very evenly, so
I feel I need to pad it into my skin, but just 2-3 pumps is sufficient, and
leaves my skin feeling relaxed and moisturised.
Both the Skin Resurfacing Cleanser, and an Antioxidant
HydraMist have a slightly strange scent which I can’t quite explain, and
unfortunately the scent of the HydraMist does linger around for a while, but
considering there are no artificial fragrances in these products.
The products are not cheap, but they are very concentrated,
and will last you a while – and while the Skin Resurfacing Cleanser, and an
Antioxidant HydraMist purchased on their own cost $14.45 each, they were
included as bonuses in the pack I received, and hence making it a great
purchase.
What I Like:
- The products are so gentle
- That the products refine my skin and make it glow
- The products contain no artificial fragrances of colour
What I Don’t Like:
- The slightly strange scent
- I am yet to see firming effects as promised
Overall, these are lovely products, and I love how they make
my skin feel and look. I will enjoy using the remainder of these products, and
I will definitely look into other products from Dermalogica.
