PRODUCT REVIEW: DREAMBABY ON-THE-GO STROLLERBUDDY

With two little kids, whenever we go out, I feel we always need to pack up the whole house as there are simply so many things that we need to bring, from nappies, spare clothes, toys, and not to mention snacks and bottles – and fitting it into my already overloaded and heavy nappy bag, is not only near impossible - but also makes it difficult to find some of the essentials you need all the time - and that's why we've been loving the new Dreambaby® On-the-Go Strollerbuddy® Bag. 

This new Dreambaby Strollerbuddy bag comes in two different colours, blue or grey (we're using the blue), and it simply fits onto the pram or stroller handle with velcro straps, that makes it easy to attach when needed and remove again.

The Blue bag has a very cool denim look, which I really like, and it made of such high quality fabrics, including mesh, that you can easily wipe down if it gets dirty. It has room for two drink bottles, one in either side, and it also has a larger storage compartment in the centre where you can put larger items, such as change of clothes, toys or snacks, and I like that it has a 'flap' that you can close to 'hide' things as well as protect a little. It also has a large mesh pocket at the back, as well as two pockets in the front, a smaller one and a larger one, and personally I like to use these for things like my phone, keys and a pack of tissues. 

This Dreambaby® On-the-Go Strollerbuddy bag does not offer sufficient storage for us when we are going on longer trips, as I find it is too little to hold several nappies and wipes too, but even so, I like having it attached it to the handle of the pram so that the necessary items are within easy reach and I can then store my large and bulky nappy bag underneath the pram. And used on its own, it is perfect for when you’re going for walks or for when going to the playground, as again, it easily stores the necessities such as drinks, snacks, hats and sunnies and other smaller essentials.

DREAMBABY XMAS GIFT IDEAS

With two little toddlers, one of the brands that I can always trust to not only come up with some fantastic and very useful, but also high quality products, is Dreambaby - so today, I'd like to share a couple of products that would also make for fantastic Xmas gift ideas for little bubs.

 

The Dreambaby Ladybug Night Light is nothing short of amazing. This ladybug is not just super adorable, and will look so cute in any baby and toddler room, but it is also very functional too, as it also serves as a night light.

It has a one-touch button that turns it on, giving it a very soft and gentle light that is not too harsh for sleeping,, and it helps little ones get to sleep without having a bright lamp in the room, and thus giving them comfort and security as they drift off to sleep. And I love that after 30 minutes it automatically turns itself off - both to help the child get used to sleeping in the dark (which is essentially better for a better quality sleep!), but it also means that you don't have to the lamp running all night draining the battery. Although it does come with a long-life bulb that lasts forever, thousands of hours, according to Dreambaby! Absolutely brilliant.
 

Then there's the Dreambaby De-humidifying Dry Egg, which is a ceramic egg in a cute holder, that helps remove excess moisture and dampness from the hair, to help reduce mould, mildew and other musty odours, for a cleaner and healthier air free from bacteria. The egg doesn't require electricity, so it is perfectly safe to have out all the time, and it is therefore perfect for nurseries, bathrooms or laundry. The actual egg is filled with dehumidifying crystals, that absorb the moisture, and it is so cleverly designed that the indicators on the side, will change from blue when it is dry, to pink when it is full of moisture. And even when it is full of moisture, you an still regenerate the egg, by removing it from the holder and putting it in the microwave for about 10 minutes. This egg not only looks super cute, it is also super functions.

 

Finally, there's the super cute Dreambaby Mini Bath Mats. The pack contains 6 mini bath mats, shaped like stars and fish, and are helped to prevent your little one from slipping and falling in the bath or shower. We have a very large bath, and often our two little boys are bathing together, and a large bath mat is just not big enough to cover the whole bath and 'protect' both boys - but thanks to these little cute bath mats, we can add to the edges for extra safety and also reassurance for the boys, as well as they add a cute element to their nightly bath. PRODUCT REVIEW: DREAMBABY LADY BUG NIGHT LIGHT

Today I'm going to show you the cutest lady bug. But this adorable lady bug from Dreambaby is no ordinary lady bug, it is actually a night light..
 

Our big boy, who is just over 3 years old has never been afraid of the dark - but then suddenly, I think, as he is getting older, he is now sometimes a little a little concerned about the darkness and wants us to confirm that "there's nothing there..?". This also coincided with us moving house, with his bedroom further away from ours, and as we have a two story house, he is, and he knows that he is alone upstairs when we've put him to bed. But still he is a good boy, and generally it is not an issue. But one thing that has really helped put his mind at ease and gives him comfort and security as he drifts off to sleep is this cute Lady Bug.

It is very cleverly designed with its one-touch button that turns it on, giving it a very soft and gentle light that is not too harsh for sleeping. I also like is that it is that it is so simple and easy to use and that the LED bulb lasts for hours and hours, in fact, Dreambaby claims for thousands of hours, which is pretty awesome.

But what I also love is that the lamp turns itself off automatically after 30minutes, so you don’t have to worry about having a lamp on all night long adding up on your electricity bill.

But research also shows that sleeping in a brightly lid room is not good for you as it reduces the quality of sleep, so with this ladybird, you no longer need to have this concern for your little one. For us this lady bug has been an absolute lifesaver, well worth the cost - and during the day when it is not in use, it looks very adorable and decorative in his room too.

PRODUCT REVIEW: DREAMBABY ROYALE CONVERTA 3-IN-1 GATE

As many of you are aware, our little baby has been quite sick, spending over 4.5 months at the Royal Children's Hospital for a life threatening auto-immune disorder that saw him have intense chemotherapy leading up to a bone marrow transplant. He has been home for months now, and while he is doing exceptionally well, he is, due to being so sick for so long, naturally a little behind developmentally - so while he is now almost 14 months now, and under normal circumstances would be walking now, or at least very close to it, he is just not quite there yet.

Also having a 3 year old, that of course now is playing with smaller toys, it has been necessary to put the little one into a playpen, to ensure that big brother can continue to play with his toys, otherwise it is simply too risky as little one may swallow them. But of course, there are a lot of other dangers lurking around the house, where it is ideal to be able to block off our large open-plan family room and keep him retained in a secure area.

The convenient gate can stay open if required

And the new Dreambaby® Royale Converta® 3-in-1 Gate is the perfect solution. The Royal Converta gate features six individual modular panels creating a wide gate and including a convenient walk through gate, that has a 'child-proof' opening mechanism that stops little ones from running in an out, while it still has the feature to stay open if needed.

The gate is made from metal and is very sturdy, and all panels can be easily locked into place in various position so you can set it up exactly how you like it - and yet it folds down quickly and easily so you can easily move it around or take it away with you when you go on holidays.

Each section is 74cmtall so kids cannot climb over it, and they are 62cm wide, so combined the six panels creates a 3.8m long wide barrier gate so you can section off a whole room, as we have sectioned off our actual living room. But if needed, you can purchase a Dreambaby® Royale Converta® Extensions (pack of two) quickly and easily turn your six panel Play Pen Gate into an eight panel Play-Pen Gate, making it a massive 4.9m long.

What I also like is that you can use the gate to block off the fire place and stop little ones from getting to it, although personally we don't have the fireplace on during the daytime, and as it is a fully enclosed gas fire, and hence nothing they can get to, we haven't got the need to use it for that, but it is of course always nice having the option available, should you decide to put the fire on when the kids are around.

The Gate also includes wall mounting brackets, and can also be used to create a small fully enclosed playpen, which again you can of course make a tad bigger by adding the additional two extension panels.

Overall, I am really impressed with this gate, and I do wish that I had had one of these when our now 3 year old was smaller as it would certainly have made everyday life a lot easier when he was in the early exploring stages. I also love knowing that this gate of course complies with required Standards ASTM F1004-13.

NEWS FROM DREAMBABY

With a toddler and a baby, these days I don't go anywhere without the pram in tow - and without bringing half the house with me either. Between spare clothes for both boys, (and myself), nappies, wipes etc, the nappy bag is quickly over-flowing and the small storage compartment underneath the pram quickly too full too. But thanks to Dreambaby® there are some options to make your life easier..

The Dreambaby® Clip Buddy is a convenient velcro strap with a hook that you can quickly and easily the pram, or the shopping trolley if you like, so you no longer have to carry countless of shopping bags or handbags. And when not in use, it is so lightweight that you can just pop it in your handbag, or do as I do, attach it to the compartment underneath pram so you're never without it when you need it. I wish that I'd come across it earlier, and especially as it is a measly $5.95, it is simply a must have item!!

Another must-have are the Dreambaby® Strollerbuddy Stroller Clips. We all know that strong sun is not ideal for little ones, plus there are simply times that covering them up is the only way to get them to sleep in the pram when you're out and about. Until now I've been using standard clothes pegs to attach a lightweight cloth over the pram - and mostly this has been unsuccessful. Countless pegs broken, or they simply fly off. Not with these specifically designed Stroller Clips. They are large (yet still lightweight so won't weigh a thing when in your handbag), that they easily secure the blanket on the pram so it doesn't fall off. Of course you ALWAYS need to ensure that there is always plenty of ventilation for the baby when blankets are clipped onto the pram.
 
Yet again, why on earth did I not know about these a few years ago when our first boy was born. The clips can also be used to secure some of those things babies often throw out of the pram, such as hats and toys.

The clips come in packs of four so you've got enough clips for full coverage, and they come in white, black as well as some bright colours such as blue, pink, grey, as well as packs with mix colours orange and green, blue and green, purple and orange, and purple, blue, orange and green.

Finally, the Dreambaby® Stroller Hooks is a pack with one larger hook and one small hook. These hooks are more sturdy than the Clip Buddy, and allow you to attach larger and heavier things such as handbags and shopping to the pram etc (although being careful they are not too heavy so the pram tips over). Again they are quick and easy to attach and remove again - and when not in use, I personally just attach it to a strap in the carry-basket underneath the pram so I've always got it at hand when I need it.

PRODUCT REVIEW: DREAMBABY STROLLERBUDDY STROLLER ORGANISER

With a baby and a 2.5 year old toddler, when we leave the house, packing up takes forever as there simply are so many things to pack from nappies, spare clothes, toys, and not to mention snacks and bottles – and packing everything into my already overloaded nappy bag, which consequently is also always in a huge mess thanks to the sheer quantity of things it has to hold!

But with this Strollerbuddy Stroller Organiser from DreamBaby getting out and about is simply easier, as it quickly and easily attaches to all types of strollers and prams thanks to the thick and sturdy straps. 

The Stroller organiser has pockets for two bottles, and also has a storage compartment in the centre between the two bottle compartments, where you can store your mobile phone or keys. It also has a convenient large mesh pouch where you can store things such as toys and the like.

While, again, with two kids both still needing nappies, this Stroller Organiser does not offer sufficient storage for us when we are going on longer trips, but even so, I like having it attached it to the handle of the pram so that the necessary items are within easy reach and I can then store my large and bulky nappy bag underneath the pram.

KEEPING YOUR BABY & TODDLER SAFE IN THE BATHROOM WITH DREAMBABY

Today I'd like to share with you some new products from DreamBaby that helps in keeping your baby and toddler safe in the bathroom.

The Dreambaby Easy-Clean Potty Seat

Our little boy is almost 2 years old, I believe that we are getting very close to starting to need potty training as he is starting to let us know when he needs to ‘go’. KEEPING YOUR BABY & TODDLER SAFE WITH DREAMBABY

With a 23 month old toddler roaming around the whole house, his safety couldn’t be of higher importance. There are dangers everywhere in the house where he can potentially get into trouble, or even worse get seriously hurt. The Dreambaby Door Knob Covers

We currently live in an old house while we are building a new one, and unlike our old house, this temporary house has got round door knobs on every single door. To begin with we thought that was great, as surely that would make it even more difficult for our little boy to open doors, then if we had lever door handles, and that we could simply close off rooms that we didn’t want him to enter. Sadly not the case. As soon as he realised that he could easily open the doors with the knob handles, no room was safe. Pointless closing the doors, as he would open them instantly again. The main issues where the bathroom and the toilet – needless to say that we didn’t want him to play with the toilet!!, and I cannot say that I was keen on him playing around with my lotions and potions, or makeup for that matter!

Dreambaby's new Ezy-Check Multi-Use Latch

Another new product from Dreambaby is the Ezy-Check Multi-Use Latch. This latch is as the name suggests, a multi-function latch as it can be used in so many locations from cabinets, cupboards, refrigerators and toiles. The latch comes with adhesive tape that easily attaches to most surfaces, and if you ned to relocate it, you can replace it with strong double sided tape.

The latch is almost like a chain lock, as it also has a release lock and an indicator to show if it is locked or unlocked, so it really is perfect to childproof any area, as will make it very difficult for a little toddler to open.

Personally I’ve put it on the pantry doors – as one ‘accident’ too many with our little boy playing with a pack of open rice, pasta and even flour, made it not only frustrating to have to clean up (and throw the food away), but we ended up only being able to use the top third of the pantry, making it very difficult to store our food! Dreambaby Premium Nail Clipper with Magnifier


 

I’ve always hated trimming my little boy’s tiny nails, as I’d so hate to hurt him. He has never been fond of it, so I’ve always tried to do it while he was asleep, but that’s not even possible anymore, as even sleeping he seems to pull his hands away. He has gotten a little better lately, and on a good day I can manage to trip about 3-4 nails before he gets fed up! So it does take a few goes to do all the nails, and unfortunately his nails seems to grow incredibly fast, so we seem to be doing it all the time!

Today on the blog I enlist the help of my little almost 21 month old boy again, this time to review the newly launched Peli's Bathtub Play Pouch from Dreambaby;

Oliver loves his night-time bath. And he loves his bath toys. Sometimes he has some many toys in the bath that there is hardly room for himself! But he loves it that way, and wouldn’t have it any other way. What I don’t like, it the mess we’ve always got in the bathroom.

We are in the process building a new house, and the temporary house we live in right now until our new house is finished, has a very small bathroom (and don’t you just love the pink tiles you can see in the pictures! Hmmmm, can’t say that I will be missing them when we move!) I mean the bathroom is tiny. So storing heaps of bath toys there is almost impossible.

But thanks to this new Peli's Bathtub Play Pouch from Dreambaby, we’ve now got somewhere to store all his toys. The Peli doubles as toy storage, keeping the bathroom more tidy. The mesh net hanging from the peli’s huge beak, allows the toys to drain after the bath, and air-dry to prevent the build-up of mould in the toys. But it also doubles as an interactive toy, keeping the little ones entertained in the bath as they can pull out their toys and put them back into the Peli’s beak again.

And I've even found him playing with the Peli during the day if I am in the bathroom getting ready to go out. He simply sits down next to the bathtub and takes things out and puts them back again, which is definitely a win-win over him playing with my moisturisers as he has otherwise been doing!


The Peli is so cleverly designed it can face both ways, to either face inside the tub or outside, depending on your need. It also has adjustable brackets that fits most bath sides (up to 13cm in width), and it is so quick and easy to install, and also remove again.

Overall, we really like this Peli's Bathtub Play Pouch from Dreambaby – I love it as it keeps the bathroom a whole lot tidier, and I wish we’d had had one sooner! And Oliver loves the new play during the bath-time, and no doubt that it adds a cute element to the bathroom too! With a new bay on the way this Peli’ will without a doubt be a part of the bathroom décor for many many years to come, so definitely well worth its price of just $39.95!
