Apart from the obvious toy shops, there is one store we can never just pass when we’re at the shopping centre - Smiggle. My little boys always have to go in for a browse, and check out all the newest gadgets and gizmos and not to mention stationary (they must have that addiction from their mum!) The stores are seriously always busting with cool stuff all kids will love, and in the lead up to Christmas, there’s even more to check out, and there’s seriously some great Xmas and advent calendar gift ideas for all tastes and budgets.
My 5year old boy is finally starting to get some idea about money, having to pay for things, save, save up and so forth, and he’s really been loving the Footy Money Box. The cool money box is a fun and interactive way of helping kids save money. They simply save the coin into the holder and watch the footy player kick a goal by kicking the coin into the net. This may be a toy but in a fun way, it is encouraging the kids to save as they simply want to keep playing with it. It is also available in a Ballet version more suitable for the girls.

For the stationary lovers, there’s the cool League Sequin Alphabet A5 Notebook. This note book has reversible sequins so its either blue with silver letter, or silver with a blue letter. The notebook comes in all the letters of the alphabet so you can select your initials or favourite letters for a personalised touch. The notebook has lined pages with date, mood and weather icons, and also has an elastic closure and loop to hold a pen. I wonder if my boys will notice if they disappear into my stationary stash, lol

And finally, for a bit of a giggle, there’s the Goo Loo Keyring. This little Goo Loo comes with goo that makes funny and rude noises, which all little kids will find absolutely hilarious. You simply create an air pocket in the goo and press your fingers into the toilet to hear the farting sound effects! And as it comes with a key ring, it can attach to anything, and keep little ones happy and entertained wherever they are.
