Nothing beats a multi-tasking beauty product, so today I've put a selection to the test from brands such as The Beauty Chef, Elizabeth Arden, Trilogy and Pure Paw Paw...
The Beauty Chef Beauty Fix - don't be fooled by this little jar, as it is a true multi-tasker. It is loaded with natural ingredients including coconut, linseed, chickpeas, brown rice, rosehip and olive oil as well as vitamin E. And it can be used for just about anything from helping to heal damaged skin, smooth wrinkles and lines, soothe and hydrate the skin, and protect from environmental damage and it can be used anywhere on the body where the skin is a little dry or needs a little extra TLC, including face, or hands and nails. Unfortunately my combination skin is very prone to breakouts, so I have found it a tad too greasy to use on my face, but I have been loving using it on my nails and cuticles, and after a day in the garden when your hands are so dry, just the tiniest bit gets them back to top shape in no time. I also love using it on my lips at night before bed, to wake with soft and super smooth lips.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant - I don't know how many tubes of this wonder cream I've used by now. This is a true cult product, which has been on the market since 1930, and has won countless beauty awards over the years for being such a brilliant product. It can be used for just about anything from dry and chapped lips, where it can be used both under and over lipstick, to soften dry cuticles, for dry hands and feet, add a lovely sheen on your cheeks, I've even used a tiny bit to smooth down my frizzy hair on a humid day. The cream is very concentrated so you only need to use the tiniest amount, so the huge tube is such great value too.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over-Miracle Oil - this is a newer addition to the Eight Hour range, but equally beautiful. This spray bottle of Eight Hour Miracle Oil contains among others Tsubaki Oil that adds moisture to face, body and hair for up to 12 hours. I like to use it when I come out of the shower, massaging it into my skin, as it leaves my skin so soft and smooth and with a nice glow, but also running a few drops into the lengths of my damp hair for glossy soft hair. But it can also be used on dry hair to freshen it up and add extra shine. The non-greasy oil is easy to apply, just a few squirts is all you need, before massaging it into the skin or hair, and your left with glossy hair and radiant glowing skin, with a beautiful scent too.
Trilogy Everything Balm - the name of this says it all, this really is a multi-tasking product designed to be used for just about anything from dry skin, nails and cuticles, cracked lips, nappy rash, or simply all over moisturiser. It is loaded with natural fair trade ingredients including marula oil, rosehip oil, extra virgin olive oil, evening primrose oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil. I love that this is such a natural product and that it is gentle enough for me to use on my little ones, and I've found that it truly works wonders on nappy rash developed when my little boy is teething, and to help heal all of those cut and grazes on my boys knees when they run a tad too fast outside. I also love using it as an intensely moisturising lip treatment before I go to bed at night.
Finally, there's the Pure Paw Paw Ointment in Passion Fruit. The ointment can be used of dry and chapped and cracked lips as well as on the skin to sooth and smooth and add instant moisture to dry skin. It contains fermented papaya extract (also called paw paw) along with passion fruit to flavour, which gives it a lovely fresh fruit scent and flavour. I particularly love using it on my lips. It comes in a blue and yellow tube with a cute little face on it which can only make you smile.
So there you go, a selection of multi-taskers which are so convenient, and not to mention should be in any beauty cabinet.
