What I Say:

At the age where anti-ageing products are needed, I was excited to try this cream that promises to reduce wrinkles, smooth, tighten and lift the surface and plump the skin with moisture at the same time.

With combination skin, my skin is usually not craving moisture, and trying anti-ageing creams can be tricky, as often they are simply too rich for my skin, making it congested and break out within a matter of days. But luckily that was not the case with this cream.

Considering this is an anti-ageing cream, which send to be quite thick and heavy, this cream is actually rather light, and it feels so luxurious on the skin. It absorbs very quickly into my skin, leaving it feel soft and smooth, and without any greasiness at all, so I can go about and apply my makeup immediately without waiting.

It works perfectly under makeup, unlike some of those creams that either prevents your makeup from staying put throughout the day, or simply make the makeup ‘ball up’ as you apply it.

The cream is very concentrated so I only need to use the tiniest amount, and probably even less as my combination skin is not that ‘thirsty’ at this time of year – may be slightly different as we head towards winter and my skin in general tends to become a little drier. Anyway, being so concentrated also means that the jar will last you quite a while.

The cream comes in a beautiful heavy duty purple glass jar that simply looks stunning. The only thing I would have expected would be for it to also come with a small spatula, so you avoid contaminating the cream by sticking your fingers in it over and over. The cream has the most gorgeous floral scent that does linger on the skin for a while after you’ve applied it, which personally I do like seeing the scent is so beautiful.

So how did the cream perform? Well for starters it is recommended that you use the cream for 4 weeks to see results, and at this point I have only used it for a few short weeks. In saying that, I do feel that I can see some minor improvements in my skin. My skin certainly feels and looks very plumped and is thoroughly moisturised, and consequently, I do feel that my skin feels tighter and minor lines and wrinkles appear smaller too. And my skin also has a lovely healthy glow, so clearly it is enjoying the daily treatment. So I am very optimistic that it will continue to show improvements in my skin over the coming weeks and months.

At $147 for a 50ml jar of cream this is certainly in the higher end, but the fact that it is so concentrated, and feels so luxe on the skin, and comes in a stylish packaging, does somewhat justify the cost.
